For some reason the notification bar in my Home++ is showing up at the top. At one time it wasn't there and I could get it by hitting the ! in the work bar. Is there a setting I need to get to to hide the notification bar?

Just a quick question, is there a way, with out installing a theme or Home replacement, to remove the text under the icons, so its just an icon only? also, is there a way to hide the notification area? I thought it would be cool to tap the screen once, and have the batter/time/date/notification area drop down from the top like how it is right now with the stock version, then tap the screen again and it hides the notification area. Wouldn't that be cool? Any way to do this or does something do this already?

View 1 Replies View Relatedok so i rooted my droid a whlie ago to 2.2 but now i'm getting 2.2 froyo update. So i decided well might as well get the official one right? so i tried to install it but then it goes to the rooted reboot screen and i just press reboot now. couple days later i get the update in the notification bar again.
Help please! should i unroot(already overclock though and don't really want all my data to be deleted)? and get the ota update? what should i do?

So you decide that you want to add your password to your voice-mail on your eris, this is helpful especially with the proximity sensor, as it appears to disable the screen for a couple of seconds when listening for please enter password.So you input your password for your voice-mail on your phone and now when someone call and leaves a message, it shows on the bottom of the lock screen you have a new message and *86ppXXXX# and your password.Anyone know how to hide the voice-mail password from showing on the lock screen?

When I slide the notification bar down to reveal the nofications and click on an item, the notification screen doesn't hide back to the top of my phone -- it just stays open. I either have to hide it manually or I have to hit the back button, which sometimes exits the app I was trying to open. 2.1 never did this for me, it always hid when choosing an item. Anyone have a solution to this? I've done a factory reset after 2.2 btw. I've also searched support to see if there was a similar problem, no similar threads.

Use case: Yahoo Weather app, the persistent notification in the pulldown is beautiful. I want it to always be there. However, the little temperature notification icon is pretty ugly, and I want to hide/disable it.
Using JB's "disable notifications" won't work since it will disable the entire notification, not just the icon.

I realize most programs give you this option, but some don't (such as the latest version of Norton security program). It just sits up there and hogs up real estate. My Droid is screaming fast now, but I plan on reinstalling Home++ when the issues get worked out. One of the things I liked was the way it hid the status bar. The only thing that i cant figure out is how to hide all the icons in my pull up menu. I have downloaded multiple skins and the icons are all over my pull up menu and i dont need to see them. is there any way to hide them. If not i can get over it but it would be nice not to have to look at them all the time. any help would be much appreciated.

In fact, I've removed all beautiful widgets from all my home screens and home screen replacement apps. Yet for some reason I get the weather thing in my status bar as if I had Beautiful Home running. Which means it's somehow being run without being told to. And it only does this with Sweeter Home.
