Recently I noticed that my LED has stopped flashing when I receive a text and was wondering if anyone had this problem and/or knew how to fix it. I'm rooted and running Bugless Beast V0.8 with adamz LV kernel.

I've had this happen to me twice now over the past week. It seems that periodically my notification sounds will stop. I will see that I have new emails but never heard the sound. I will then go send myself a test text message and it will vibrate but make no sound. I've made sure all my volumes are up, and even went in to pick a notification sound and it will work fine in the sound chooser when I pick it.
I also noticed both times that it did this if I go in to Spare Parts or Battery History and look my phone is staying awake and Android Usage is the one with the partial wake lock. Generally I don't have any sleep issues, it only happens when my notification sounds have also quit working. The only way to fix it is power off and back on and then all is good again.
I have been using my droid with gmail for 3 weeks now no problems. All the sudden I stopped getting notifcations from gmail. I did not make any changes to the settings and checked them to make sure everything was normal. If I go into gmail and click refresh I get a notification with all the new emails. It used to be instant, as soon as a new email came I would get a notifcation. Now they dont come at all... anyone know whats going on?

View 2 Replies View RelatedIve had my phone for a bout 4 months and this problem has just started and is driving me to distraction. When i receive a text message i get 2 notifications. I get the normal 1 and now a another 1 saying new message(s) which will clear if i click. Also my text message ringtone plays twice also. I use SMS popup as well, but i have been using that for at least 3 months with no problems.

The option is turned on in Market, sync is active etc and I don't get notifications, have to manually go into Market and check the downloads list. Sometimes there will be 10 updates in there. View 1 Replies View RelatedAnyone noticing their Yahoo notification not showing up in the bar when they receive email? I get the sound, but there is no icon displayed in the bar. When I pull the bar down, I see the message title, but the icon does not appear.
Also, I've noticed on the Messaging app, that the Yahoo icon is missing the purple Y. The icon is just a generic looking envelope. Something has changed with the account. Battery pulls or logging in or out of the account have not helped either.
Whenever I turn my phone on vibrate mode, it never vibrates when I receive a text.

I have checked all the setting and vibrate is checked everwhere and the phone still does not vibrate when a new alert come in. any thoughts?
View 18 Replies View RelatedI'm having issues with sending text messages to a few people and they aren't even all on the same carrier.I have been using CM 5.0.6.1 and really haven't had any problem until today.I switched to the stock 2.1 with root because i thought that maybe it was the rom and still these people can't receive my text messages they can send me messages and I receive them but I cannot send them out.I have reactivated my phone twice now and nothing has worked.Any help would be much appreciated.I know I said in the title i can't receive them but I can sorry i'm kind of tired at the moment.

View 2 Replies View RelatedAfter reading that 2.1 is "supposed" to drop this week, I have a rooted droid running Beast 7.4 which has the OTA disabled. Is there a way to get the phone back to being able to receive the update without wiping all my text/e-mail/call logs/pics? I'm guessing it would require moving to a different ROM or just back to the original 2.0.1 update...but I'm not clear how to do it. If anyone can post a link or explain it in non-Linux lingo, I would greatly appreciate it! I just don't want to have to revert back to the original 2.0.1 and lose everything...don't care about the apps because I can just re-install those.

Right now, the only way I can figure out to avoid it is to delete my email account from my phone. Most of my email is garbage so I don't need to hear a sound everytime a spam mail comes through. I've seen this brought up in different forums but I have yet to see any answers. I'm wondering If anyone is currently or has recently had this same problem if so how did you fix it? Or is it still going on.
Also I've made sure that I do have notifications set to sound, they just don't, it just vibrates. I've even thought that I wasn't giving the phone enough time to sound but after seeing the trackball light up i let it sit to see if it will eventually sound and it never does.

I have tried different profile applications but it looks like they just generically turn off "notifications" which looks like both email and SMS notifications. When you flash any custom ROM, sometimes there is a problem with setup wizard! When you choose any language in Setup wizard it gives "Unfortunately setup wizard has stopped" when you press OK, problem comes again?
When you are in Setup wizard don't touch anything! Then one after another clockwise since the left top corner, press the most top left corner, then the most top right corner, then the bottom right corner, and at the end the bottom left corner!
I have flashed my x10a with flashtool and x10_2.3_aro_2.ftf firmware. But after the flashing is finished, my phone screen touch is not working. What can I do now? I am unable to install xrecovery to install another rom bcoz screen touch isn't working. So I can't install any custom ROM.

This is something I dearly loved on my Droid as I would leave my phone silenced at work and just glance over to see if I had new notifications.
Also... just an opinion.. but I don't think I like the placement of the LED on the evo... seems odd through the ear piece screen.
