I now have the 2.1 Moto Droid update. It still only has 3 screens. I would like 5. Does anyone downloaded an app that has increased the number of screens that you really liked?

I have root, and I was wondering if there's any way to get more screens without having to use different firmware nor a home replacement.
Editing files is fine, and etc, just want more screens, everything else, I pretty much have how I want.
Is there a way to increase the size of the cursor or bold it or flag it or something? On some apps I have difficulty finding the cursor while editing and it's a royal pita.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI'm not too familiar with the Android OS, and the Droid may be my first Android device. From what I've gathered so far, battery life seems to be an issue with Android devices. I've had 3 different BlackBerrys for a couple of years now and for the most part, battery life has been good or acceptable. My question is, will the Droid suffer from battery life issues as do other Android devices, or will Motorola have a magic formula that increases it? I've read that BGR says battery life is supposed to be "very, very good." But I'm not sure I believe them. They have a way of exaggerating how good a device is, especially if no other reviewer has that device, to make it seem like they have something very special (probably to get more readers).
View 12 Replies View RelatedMy battery life has been pretty good since getting the phone in November but the last few days, my use or setting haven't changed but my battery goes from 100% to dead without much use in about 3-3.5 hours. The back of the phone also feels extremely hot. This is with auto brightness, wifi, and bluetooth turned off to maximize battery life. What should I do?
View 12 Replies View RelatedOK...everyone thought that a louder speakerphone/ringer volume fix would be in for Froyo 2.2 when the OTA came out, and that was the only reason I installed it in the first place. But...I'm finding that this same problem is the affliction of any ROM I install. I'm wondering if it's the software or my phone, because many users report high volumes despite my problem. My OG Droid was at least twice as loud as my X. So...my question is, is there any sort of way to increase volume for this phone?
View 1 Replies View RelatedHey all, so my battery hasn't been the greatest since I got the phone. I got it about 5 days ago, and the battery has been getting worse. At first I could go all day with very heavy use. Now I took my phone off around 11:30 and it's now 7 o'clock. it's now at 40 percent, but I have barely used the phone at all. I texted occasionally, and I made one ten minute phone call. Other than that, nothing. Wifi is off, gps is off, only syncing is on. Is this normal for everyone else? Or should I go to verizon to see if I can get a replacement battery?

View 9 Replies View RelatedSo I have a squeaky clean account with Verizon, four lines, all smart phones minus one phone. NEVER missed a payment and always upgraded. I have had plenty of problems with my phones but never complained too much or created issued. I have been very nice with them, but I've about hit my limit here.
We have a defective Moto Droid on our account, and a defective Incredible. They have already agreed to give me an X for my Incredible. But, they have sent us not one, but now 3 refurbrished phones that are crap. The screens have ALL been loose, and the build has been absolute crap compared to the original phone. They are sending me another one from a different warehouse tomorrow. I am so irritated. If I receieve another refurb with a loose screen and bad build I don't think I am going to be able to deal with Verizon very nicely.
What do you think I should do? Should I be nice and wait for ANOTHER refurb if this one is bad? Or should I get mad and tell them they can take there refurb backs and send me a NEW phone?
Well we've pretty much all heard by now that 2.1 will not be including any more than 3 Home screens. I was REALLY hoping for 5, as 3 is not enough and I'd like more room to play with Widgets. Even with folders and some snazzy organizing it's still not great.
What's the status on Home Screen Replacement Apps? All I know about it Home++ but last I read it was pretty buggy and Force Closed quite a bit. I'm not looking for anything crazy I really just simply want more than 3 screens, 5-7 ideally...are there any apps out there that handle just this?
I had an original Droid before getting my Droid X. I am using the exact same custom ringtones I made for my Droid on my Droid X and my Droid X is much, much lower on ringer volume, even at max setting. Due to this, I am missing tons of text messages and a bunch of phone calls when I am in a place that has even slight noise. On my Droid, I could hear my ringer even in the noisiest of places. I can't hardly hear my Droid X in the quiet places. Are there any tips, tricks, or hacks that can increase the overall volume on the X?

I have a rooted driod 2.1 and wanted to know if there was a way to increase the home screen from 3 to 5+ without using a custom rom or home launcher. Modify a preference file or something? I have tried a few launchers and prefer the stock one.
