View 12 Replies View Relatedhow to forward a text, using either default or Handcent, and get it to show who it was forwarded from? Handcent just copy/pastes the message, while default message app just puts "FWD:" before it. doesn't really forward it like my old dumbphones.

View 7 Replies View RelatedIs there a setting, app, etc. that will make the "dial pad" show by default when I make a phone call?
Basically, there are few numbers I dial that use an automated system and I'm required to press certain numbers to continue and I grow tired of selecting the number pad myself.
It's not as important on incoming calls, but would be nice there as well I guess.
Loving it so far, but I have a quick question (figured I might get a quicker response here)...by default the homescreen is on page 2. Is there any way to make the default homescreen the middle one (page 3)? Edit: never mind, apparently it's an issue with Launder 2.1

View 3 Replies View RelatedI just downloaded this and i'm trying to figure it out. Is there a way to make this the default lock screen from setup? Or do I have to open it every time i restart my phone?
If another thread exists about this program just send it my way and I'll walk away hanging my head.
when i first got my eris (in Jan.) i installed this because everyone on here was saying how amazing it is! So i installed it. It didn't work properly and kept force closing. So i installed chomp. Chomp is amazing and i freakin love it. I still see people talking about hancent so i decided to give it another try last night. My g/f sent me a picture message 3 times and i didnt get a single one of those messages with handcent. it would randomly erase texts as soon as i replied to them. I quickly uninstalled it and ran back to chomp.

View 34 Replies View RelatedI added Handcent, which rocks. But now in my notification bar there are two text notifications--one from Handcent and one from the native SMS app. So my question is: Is there a way to keep both SMS apps from showing up in the notification bar? Can I delete the native SMS application?

IMO, it looks better if you go into Handcent, options, bubble settings, and scroll all the way to the bottom and uncheck start lines of editor box so that it will only be 1 line rather than 2 to start out with. (That's also how it is in the screenshot).
By the way, you must uninstall Handcent and any font packs before installing this modded version. Props to sneaky_zekey over at alldroid.com for helping me figure all this out.
Has anyone checked to see if today's updated fixed the issue?
It said in the update notes on the website it fixes an issue with delivery fail...
Looking to see that it works again before I redownload...
I have been using Handcent for just under a month. I like it very much. I have a question though. Since I no longer use ATK and been observing using System Panel; I notice that both are still running ACTIVE. Handscent has more CPU time then Message. More then half my txts come up as a quick text over the lock screen. Is that pulling from Handcent or Message?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI used to be a Handcent user and recently switched to ChompSMS. I couldn't be happier with my decision.
It's much faster, much prettier, and has all the features I need or want.
I just don't understand why Handcent seems to be the more popular SMS app.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI've tried searching up the forums and found that some people had this bug and it was fixed by doing the *228 option 2. I tried that and when I use Handcent it still says the message is not delivered and sometimes it just flat out sends a blank message. The text is going to an email not an actual phone number but I'd like to keep handcent because I really like the pop up and the GUI. Would anyone have any other tips or tricks to help me get rid of this annoying error?Well i guess I forgot to mention some things.I updated my phone to 2.1 last night with the "new" leak I guess you call it.I tried restarting my phone, uninstalling and reinstalling handcent.
View 2 Replies View RelatedSo I updated (finally!!) to 2.1 OTA on Saturday morning. Ever since then, my Handcent app has been acting strangely. Seems at least half of the txts I send generate an "Undelivered message" error, and there's that lil red 'x' next to the msg in the convo. Thing is, I've checked with friends, and the texts are in fact being sent just fine. Anyone else having this problem? I tried uninstalling and reinstalling Handcent, to no avail. It's really annoying to have to delete the "undelivered messages" every time. Plus then I have no record on my phone of that sent txt.
