Motorola Droid :: Hiding App / "screenshot Failed"

Nov 18, 2009

I downloaded SOMETHING in my 1st week Droid owner downloading frenzy. It said something about using the camera button to take a screenshot "but don't forget to turn it off when you are finished" Now pushing the cam button gives me a presestent "screenshot failed" message that hangs there for minutes on the screen, I don't remember the name of the app, have looked CAREFULLY thru all the apps installed to no avail, nothing like that is shownig in TasKiller, nothing in the download list.Driving me crazy. Maybe it was some part of something else I turned on? Ring any bells with anyone?

Android :: Hiding Images That Failed To Load

Oct 29, 2009

I have an Android application that generates some HTML which is rendered locally, in a Webkit view. The details of the HTML generation aren't really that important except for: the bulk of it comes from one place, and I cannot change it the template around that HTML (including headers, footers, HEAD etc), the CSS, and Javascript is under my control. most images are under my control, and rendered separately from the untouchable HTML. These images come from local disk, and do not require the network. It can be assumed that these images are always available. The untouchable HTML contains images which would, ideally be displayed. If the network is unavailable, it is these images that would fail to load. the complete HTML file is likely to be stashed to disk, long before it is rendered. i.e. we cannot render different HTML based on network availability.

Motorola Droid :: Need For UN - Hiding Contacts?

Nov 12, 2009

Ok, I've searched the forums a bit and found a couple other folks with the same problem as I have. I picked up my droid yesterday and synced it to my gmail, and facebook. Pulled every single contact from both, sweet! Except there were some I didn't care to have in my phonebook..shoot. So I was going through and "Deleting" the ones I didn't want, and as they were facebook contacts it just hid them from me. I know they are still there, as I exported my vCard to gmail and looked through the contacts. I see the ones I want (and don't want) in there so they exsist..but I can't find where to set them to show in my contacts list again. I tried just re-adding them to my contacts, but that didn't really work either..anything short of factory resetting my phone that I can do to fix my flubup?

Motorola Droid :: Lfy Signature Verification Failed

Aug 23, 2010

Got my droid rooted, installed rom manager, d/l a rom to the sd card- lfy. I booted in recovery from rom manager, and all I get is the screen with the triangle and exclamation point. Camera button + vol up gets me a menu, one of which is about the sd card, with the file name "update zip" (I re named the lfy file to this). When its selected, it runs through some lines of script, then says something like "aborted, signature verification failed" I then have it re boot, and my phone is the same as it was before.I have read posts that say wipe, others say don't wipe! Since in a first timer, I decided to wipe, and if I'm remembering right, when you select wipe, there are three options, I did the first, the factory reset one, but did not do the other two, can't remember what they were called exactly, but had not read anything that specifically said to wipe them, so for fear of really messing something up, I left those alone. In reading more, it sounds like clockwork mod recovery is not working? I guess I'm getting the stock recovery screen? Since I renamed the file update.zip, shouldn't this work? I know this has all probably been answered, and I searched, but came up with a bunch of threads on other phone species too. Obviously I'm a noob at this, and there have been more sweaty palms and adrenaline rushes for fear of killing my droid than I have experienced in a long time! Does someone have a solution to this that even I can understand?

Motorola Droid X :: SBF - Dreaded Failed Flashing Process

Oct 16, 2010

I am trying to use RSD Lite to SBF to 2.2 OTA but it keeps on giving me the dreaded Failed flashing process. Failed flashing process. (0x7100); phone connected. I am running Windows 7 x64 and have the latest Moto drivers installed (4.7.1) and am running RSD Lite 4.8. I put my phone in bootloader mode and connected my USB. It is showing iup in port 1, but I am also getting a lot of N/A values. Is this normal?

IMEI/ESN/MEID: N / A
Technology: N / A
Software Version: N / A
Flex Version: N / A
Bootloader Version: v0x003001
DRM Version: N / A

I choose the SBF file and click start and it immediately gives me that error message. Very frustrating.

Motorola Droid :: Failed Flashing Process Error In RSD Lite.

Aug 9, 2010

I'm un-rooting my phone using OMJ's guide in the everything root related guide, and I'm getting a "Failed Flashing Process" error in RSD Lite.

I am running as admin, I have the correct drivers (I recently rooted...), I have the sbf in C: .... yet it fails.

The error says " Failed Flashing Process. Failed Flashing Process. Interface BP: Error flashing subscriber unit. Device API Error: 0xE0030009 Command: ADDR (0xE0231009); phone connected"

I am going to try flashing SPRecovery to see if I can at least get to a working point.

SPRecovery worked. It boots into 2.1 and has SPRecovery as the recovery. I still want to get it to stock, so I am going to try and download the stock sbf again (it doesn't have a checksum so I have no way of knowing if it is good or not...) .... here goes nothing!
