General :: Hide Notification Icon Without Hiding Actual Notification
Aug 16, 2013Is it possible to hide just the notification icon without hiding the notification itself from pulldown?
Use case: Yahoo Weather app, the persistent notification in the pulldown is beautiful. I want it to always be there. However, the little temperature notification icon is pretty ugly, and I want to hide/disable it.
Using JB's "disable notifications" won't work since it will disable the entire notification, not just the icon.
General :: Changing Priority Or Hiding Notification Icon From Status Bar
May 29, 2014Is there something that replicates this feature?: changing a notifications priority/or hiding the notification icon from the status bar.
I know that you can permanently hide all notifications of an app via app info, but what I am looking for is something that will allow me to only hide any icon from the status bar, but the notification will still be there when I pull down the notification shade.
I currently use a ROM that has this feature, and I have yet to find it implemented in any other way or through any other ROM. I would love to go back to stock or an AOSP rom and use only Xposed modules, but this is the only thing that is stopping me. This feature is absolutely vital in my opinion in my everyday use.
You can see this feature in the screenshot below. When I long press any notification when I select the Hide status bar apps notification icon, the icon will not show up. As if it either replaces it (which I believe it does with a transparent dot) or just as useful would be to change the priority of the notification to low.
This just amazes me that I can't find anything else that does this. I'm hoping there is some type of xposed module that can replicate this feature, or anything really. If only i could find the code in the source of the rom myself to compile it into stock or something... Nexus 5

Jun 10, 2010How can i hide an app from the app drawer?In the threads i read and searched for they all said it can be done with root access, but no one ever says how it can be done.As a side note, I still want to have access to the app using keyboard shortcuts.I have tried home replacement apps, but they are so unstable. I also tried "App Vault", but this doesn't let you access the app while it is hidden.Can anyone help me please?

Nov 12, 2009Ok, I've searched the forums a bit and found a couple other folks with the same problem as I have. I picked up my droid yesterday and synced it to my gmail, and facebook. Pulled every single contact from both, sweet! Except there were some I didn't care to have in my phonebook..shoot. So I was going through and "Deleting" the ones I didn't want, and as they were facebook contacts it just hid them from me. I know they are still there, as I exported my vCard to gmail and looked through the contacts. I see the ones I want (and don't want) in there so they exsist..but I can't find where to set them to show in my contacts list again. I tried just re-adding them to my contacts, but that didn't really work either..anything short of factory resetting my phone that I can do to fix my flubup?

Nov 18, 2009I downloaded SOMETHING in my 1st week Droid owner downloading frenzy. It said something about using the camera button to take a screenshot "but don't forget to turn it off when you are finished" Now pushing the cam button gives me a presestent "screenshot failed" message that hangs there for minutes on the screen, I don't remember the name of the app, have looked CAREFULLY thru all the apps installed to no avail, nothing like that is shownig in TasKiller, nothing in the download list.Driving me crazy. Maybe it was some part of something else I turned on? Ring any bells with anyone?

However the android:maxSdkVersion tag is only available if compiling using sdk 1.6.I heard that compiling using 1.6 will hide my app from users who are still on 1.5 (still a few i can see).But I want 1.5 and 1.6 users still to see the app just not 2.0 - how can I achieve this?

The weird thing is that I use Google Voice, so I never get voicemail notifications except for this one. It won't clear even when I clear other notifications away. May 10, 2010I just yesterday noticed they aren't working, emails nor text messages. I don't know when it started not working, but I think it was working when I first installed bugless beast v1.0
LED notifications:
Stock email = none
Stock messaging = none
Custom stock messaging in BB = none
Handcent = none
I wiped cache/data/system everytime I installed a ROM to fix it.
Bugless beast v1.0 (twice) - not working
NexBeast - not working
Leaked BB - not working
It was working before with the leak for sure.
I don't have any other roms and with the alldroid drama I can't get them.
I checked setting and spare parts multiple times for some setting to no avail.

Jul 16, 2010I got the X synced with my Exchange server just fine. The problem is that I'm not getting a notification whenever I get a new email. I have to go into the Email app to see if anythings come through. I have it set to give me an audible alert and that's not working either. This will be a real deal breaker if I can't get it fixed.

The problem is, it will only alert me to the first email, and if I do not check it, it will not alert me for subsequent emails. Jun 25, 2010Has anyone actually seen this phone in action? How are it's notification LEDs? Does it have multiple colors like the original droid or just 2 colors like the Incredible? And how bright are they? Might be a little picky, but that is one thing I miss from my droid. The incredible LEDs suck, they are set so deep that you have to be directly facing the face of the phone or else you cant see them. It is nice to just look down at your cup holder to see if you have a message. edit: it looks like the spec sheet calls out a "tri-color" LED. A google search calls this a red/green/blue setup that can do combinations to make different colors. so it looks positive that it will be the same as the original droid.

Motorola Droid :: Get Rid Of Voicemail Notification
Jul 24, 2010Out of nowhere, I got a voicemail notification in my notification bar.(Cassette looking thing) I don't remember ever seeing it because I've had Google Voice for so long.
I've tried Powering on/off, battery out, uninstalling GV, hour on phone with VZ tech support. The notification bar doesn't give me a clear option.
If I call*86, it says I have no voice mails.
This notification is very annoying and I don't want to do a factory reset..

Motorola Droid :: Notification That Have A New Email?
Jun 27, 2010so i am using the stock android email app and recently whenever i delete an email and exit from the application i get a notification that i have a new email, but when i go back into the email application there is no new email. i have tested it out and say i delete 3 emails, i will receive a notification saying that i have 3 new emails. the notification will always show the number of emails i have just deleted even though there are no new emails. the emails do not reappear like other people have problems with. i think my phones just playin mind games with me
just wondering if anyone else had this issue and if k9 email could fix this.
ps: it is an aol email account, if that matters
