It seems that if I'm in the middle of watching a youtube video and then I get a notification or something, when I come back to the youtube video I have to reload the video. It doesn't just pause it for some reason. Is anyone else getting this?

I was trying to fix the youtube upload problem on my Droid X 2.2 leak rooted when I deleted it and installed the old one. Well it didnt work now i have no youtube app. Can someone post a youtube.apk for me to download and install from the Droid X 2.2 leak (rooted). Note I tried the ported EVO version, it just force closes. I think i need the exact one from the droid x 2.2 leak. Can someone post it so I dont have to do the SBF recovery, then root, then install the leak.

I'm logged in my youtube account and m connected to my wifi at my house. But the problem that m having is that everytime i go to upload the video, It continues to say Waiting to Retry.. It keeps saying that for like 15 minutes until eventually it says Failed Network Error.. The wifi is working fine when trying to browse Internet. I deleted the cache and data in youtube as well.. I just cant understand what would be causing this, but its really annoying.. I really wish someone could help me please.. I don't know what else to do. I even created a new youtube account to sync with my gmail, and that didn't work either

I told tmobile that and she said it could be my SIM so I get a new one and that doesn't help. I'm about ready to call them and get a new one through my warranty.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI never watch YouTube videos in anything other than high quality. But the only way I can see to change the quality is via the menu on a per-video basis. It defaults to the lesser quality, which is REALLY crappy!
Is there some way to change the default to play videos in the best quality?
And also, what's to gain by playing them in the lesser quality? Bandwidth? Battery conservation? Load time? For a phone with such a magnificant display size & resolution, I can't imagine why anyone would want to view videos in anything but the best quality possible.
So, I'm having a small issue trying to share videos on Youtube. Essentially, I'm forced to log in every single time I want to upload a video. Here's how it happens: I take a video with the stock camera app. Go to the gallery, and click share. Choose Youtube. It asks me to login. I do, and it uploads fine over wifi. Take another video, same steps, and I'm asked to login again. The problem is, I have a long username, so this is really annoying. I'd think it would cache my username for at least as long as the youtube app is still open in the background, or gallery, or something. I've tried going into the youtube app directly, logging in, and then doing all this. No matter what I do, I have to login to youtube every single time. There are other Droid threads about login errors to youtube via the app, but I'm not experiencing that - I'm able to login fine, I'm just annoyed I have to do it every single time I want to use youtube, be it via the app or sharing through gallery. I'm learning to Cut All when I login the first time, then pasting each subsequent time, so at least I'm only retyping my password each time. Which makes it not a huge deal, but still an annoyance Especially since I tend to upload in batches. Anyone else experiencing this? Is this a security thing or did they just forget the "remember me" checkbox?

My phone constantly restarts after trying out the video recording. I've tried removing the battery and rebooting it again but it still keeps on restarting. Can someone advise me? Btw..my phone is not rooted.

It does not automatically restart when using the Home button to exit and this only occurs one time (after the second attempt to exit with the back button, it exits cleanly). Pressing Back Button again, briefly shows home screen, then relaunches Game Activity which starts Options Acitivity 7. Pressing Back Button again finally shows the home screen

But here's where my confusion sets in. When I watch a YouTube video with the stock YouTube app, videos buffer faster and/or play MUCH better when using 3G. I'm wondering if the 3G connection is utilizing some kind of compression that allows this?

View 4 Replies View RelatedAfter months without a random reboot, my phone did it twice consecutively today while I was trying to navigate while streaming music (Pandora) on the way from the airport this morning. It worked perfectly on the 1 hour drive there (also on the round trip going there the previous week), but while I was waiting for the guys I was picking up at the arrival gate, I was browsing the web and still streaming music and my phone just did a "soft" restart (where it doesn't show the Moto logo, just the boot animation). Slightly annoying. At least it gets to the launcher pretty quick still. Then, maybe 30 minutes later on the trip back, it does it again while I'm driving back. This time when it got back to the home screen, it refused to pick up any sort of cell signal like it was in airplane mode, but all the other radios were on (BT and satellite). Toggling airplane mode had no affect on it. So I had to totally reboot my phone to get it to work again. I think it may be heat related, when it came back up the first time, SetCPU read the CPU at 51�C/124�F and that was immediately after reboot, so it may have cooled down some during that. After the second reboot I brought the clock down to 800 MHz from 1.1 GHz and it was good for the rest of the trip. But I was running the exact same load/apps on it the last trip and the ambient temp in the car was the same. So I wanted to see if there some system log/app that can tell me what process forced the phone to reboot or maybe what the CPU temp was when it crashed, to rule out software. Is there anything like this? If not, does anyone know what the max temp the CPU can handle before it forces a reboot? I'm sure there's a threshold for this, just like there is for PCs (but usually they just throttle instead of shutting down), but I don't know what it is. I would think ~60�C would be way too damn hot for a CPU in a hand held device.

I didn't find anything exactly like my occurrences, so if it is here, sorry for re-posting the same thing. It appears that when I installed a sound FX app and attempted to use one of the sounds from the downloaded app (scream) as my ringtone and/or notification sound. My phone would restart anytime I would receive a notification that would use the sound (except for phone calls, which reset my ringtone to a default ring?
I reset the sounds to default settings and it hasn't restarted since. I was wondering if anyone knew why this was occurring? I would really like to use this sound effect (at least for awhile). I have went to the developers site and it seems to be an older app for the android market and really no information on the sound FX app there. I put the title "Any notification restarts Droid X" because that is what I was trying to find to resolve the problem I had, and maybe it will be helpful for some one else.
