I've noticed though that when I use it to turn on wifi that my wifi never actually turns on and connects. As soon as I go into the wifi settings and see the list of available connections it finds my router and connects right away. Anybody else having any sort of similar issues? It's a little annoying to have to turn on wifi and then also have to go into the settings menu to get it to connect.

View 8 Replies View RelatedOn Droid 2, my wifi keeps turning on and of constantly. The only ay to stop it is to turn on airplane mode or reboot the phone. After rebooting wifi works for a little while, but after the phone sleeps for awhile and I wake it, it starts again. I have also found that if I go into wifi settings, hit menu, then hit "Scan" it fixes it, on a temp basis. This happening to anyone else? There a fix?

This happens on my home AP(as well as at work,) and I know it isn't the AP because my laptops stay connected. If I then disable the WiFi on the Droid, it shows as "turning off" until I reboot the phone. Suggestions? Other than this the phone has been tip-top. Should I wait until 12/11 before I try and exchange it?

I have to go through Settings/Wireless & networks/ then tap Wifi Settings, and it will automatically connect. I don't have to choose a network, I just tap on Wifi Settings and then it connects.

Now... I use Locale for the following:
- Turning the ringer down when I get to work (obviouse one)
- Turning GPS/Bluetooth/wifi on when I plug it in the phone (think car dock)
- Turn on Wifi when I get near my known hot spots.
- Turn off GPS/Bluetooth/wifi off and turn down brightness when my battery is low.
And the last one is a good one for me...
- I have a GV number. When I call my phone from that number, it turns the ringer volume all the way up and it turns on wifi and GPS. This is my "lost phone aid". It turns on the locating features so I can see where the phone is using iGoogle and Latitude, and I can hear the phone if it is "in the cushions" on vibrate.

Is there any way that I can add a toggle for turning on off mobile network and cdma vs. gsm? I have a horrible signal at my office so the phone constantly searches for a signal and kills my battery. I don't want to turn on airplane mode because I do still get calls and need my phone to at least kind of work.

I want change rom stock or custom rom Android 4.x.x JB or ICS. GPS is battery power less. I need change rom firmware.
Anyone else having this problem? When I press the power button to turn on the screen sometimes it doesn't happen. This happens maybe once a week. I'm guessing it's a software issue possibly because when I push the button to put my screen to sleep it always works. Also, the same thing happened to my old iPhone 3g all the time.

It screwed up my contact list so I wanted to uninstall it. Not just remove it from my desktop, but full uninstall is what I'm after.Did a search for it in the android market and could not find it anywhere again to uninstall it that way. Tried using Astro File Manager to uninstall but does not show up there.The only place it shows up on my phone is in the bottom menu bar ( menu, phone, + ) I hit + -----> widgets ------> power control. View 7 Replies View RelatedThe "automatic" brightness setting sucks. It doesn't detect high light situations, like being outdoors. To get the proper brightness you need to use the power control widget to set the brightness up to see it in sunlight. Not a big deal, but after using the widget you either have to manually reset it to automatic in the settings, turn the brightness off or on high. Its just kind of annoying. When your in sunlight without the brightness up to the highest level I can see nothing on the phone. Literally the screen appears to be off. Is this just my phone, or does the incredible really not sense high light situations.
