It always (and I mean 100%) tries to call the wrong person or perform the wrong action. Has anyone had any luck with this "feature" at all? I'm about to give up on it as it seems pretty useless.

Have the Android 2.2 update, but voice dialing using my bluetooth headset is not working. Following what is not working:
1. Turned on Bluetooth
2. Turned on my Bluetooth headset - got the headset connected message.
3. Pushed the button on my bluetooth headset and said: "Call _______ at home."
Nothing happens. How do I fix?I used the update.zip file linked at Android Central to manually update to Android 2.2.
I want to add my husband and some others....so i can just say their name and not have to to go looking for it, or dial it. Anyone know how to do this, or if it can be done?
View 41 Replies View RelatedI was using the quick the "contact quick task" widgets for one-touch dialing of key contacts prior to installing Launcher Pro. But now in LPP, they don't work. I've tried recreating them but they just seem to be broken in LPP.
Any fixes or ideas on other ways to do one-touch dialing with LPP? Also, is it just me or does "speed dial" (on the favorites page in dialer) not work at all. I can get to the speed dial page but cannot successfully add contacts.
Now that we have root, will there be a way for us to get bluetooth voice dialing working? A well needed feature.
View 1 Replies View RelatedQuick rundown on what I've done to my DX: First got it, OTA 2.2 update, rooted, then deodexed with 928droid's black glass deodexerrr, then installed incognito theme. Alright, after I installed the Icognito theme yesterday, a few hours later, a few strange things started happening. My 3g cut out, googled around, and tried dialing *228 then option 1. A few minutes later the 3g came back on but eventually quit working again. I tried a battery pull a few times, nothing. Then I tried the *228 again, nothing. Second, I have this damn "Memory usage" thing on my homescreen that I have no idea where it came from. Lastly, now whenever I reboot my phone, it boots automatically into clockwork recovery. When I'm in clockwork and hit "reboot now", it boots up fine. Here's a screenshot for more info on what I'm talking about:

Phones from 6 years ago and every one since function better than the Motorola Droid does in this aspect.With over 800,000 units said to be sold(Moto Droid)... the number of stars for this issue are very low.... In fact the overall participation on google code is low i think.I'm asking everyone to go on Google Code, log in with your gmail account, or do whatever you have to do to be able to 'Star' the issue. View 23 Replies View RelatedThis may be just me or my combo of applications but, When I enter a number on the touchpad and press dial the screen goes dark and will not come back or accept input unless I put the phone to my face or otherwise cover the the light sensor. Even pressing the power button does not bring the screen back . I have forced the 2.1 update and have not noticed this behavior before. Not a big deal but is annoying if you dial a wrong number.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI just discovered that BB 0.4 has bluetooth voice dialing from the headset. I have tried it on 2 different rooted droids with different headsets. Just have to press and hold the action button for a couple seconds and it pops up.

View 7 Replies View RelatedFor some reason my droid likes to power on in my pocket (I think its the screen sliding open/closed causing this). As I use the unlock pattern, it seems the emergency dial function is too prominent on the screen and almost every time I'll hear my phone using the emergency dialer when the phone presses against my leg while walking.Does anyone know if there's a planned fix or already released fix that can make the emergency dialer also a 'slide to activate' like answering a phone call or possibly reduce the emergency dial button in size considerably? As I've pretty much given up on Motorola providing much in the way of Droid updates at this point, esp since they appear to be ditching android slowly I'd be willing to root for this functionality.

Usually it butt-dials the last number I called.
I'm having an awful time with my Eris when it comes to picking up calls and an even worse time dialing out. Everything is delayed after pressing keys. This morning I went to dial someone and when it didn't dial I set the phone down to use my office phone and then out of the corner of my eye I see it was calling the person. Once I had the person on the phone w/in a minute my cheek (I'm assuming) ended the call.
So the screen was in the call history list so I pressed his name again to call and it called the next person below on the list. It was probably adding his name to the call history and moved the list but because it was delayed it dialed the wrong person. I love this phone except for phone Calls. I'm going into Verizon today to complain. They will be able to tell from my call history how frequently I'm missing calls because the phone doesn't pick up and then I redial back. 5 calls back and forth for a 2 minute conversations!

View 9 Replies View Relatedlast night i tried to install smaked glass 5.0.1. Im not sure why but i couldnt get it to work. i currently have version 4, do i have to delete that off my sd card first? Also when i drag the v5 off my computer into my sd card do i put it in the card root or in the nandroid folder? The only way it shows up is if its in the nandroid folder and i can choose to flash it but it will just say error. Also im not changing the folder name or anything, i dont get it.
View 10 Replies View RelatedDroid X 2.2 OTA Root. My SetCpu isn't working now. I have tried the following unstalling the app, reinstalling the app, clearing the cache, force stop. I can't get for setcpu to ask me for permission for SetCpu. Everytime I press Auto Recommend it just goes into a blank black screen. Relaunching the app does not solve it either.Edit Unrooted my phone and rerooted my phone and reinstall setcpu same issue.I have also removed the root and did a factory reset and then rooted but the same problem. Edit Added some logcat if anyone can understand them.
