Motorola Droid :: New Rom Not Working

last night i tried to install smaked glass 5.0.1. Im not sure why but i couldnt get it to work. i currently have version 4, do i have to delete that off my sd card first? Also when i drag the v5 off my computer into my sd card do i put it in the card root or in the nandroid folder? The only way it shows up is if its in the nandroid folder and i can choose to flash it but it will just say error. Also im not changing the folder name or anything, i dont get it.

After finally getting ADC0.3BetaDark up and running, I can no longer access SetCPU.I uninstalled it, then reinstalled, let it search my phone automatically, and it freezes at the SU request.Also, when puttin SU into Terminal Emulator, I get stuck.

Droid X 2.2 OTA Root. My SetCpu isn't working now. I have tried the following unstalling the app, reinstalling the app, clearing the cache, force stop. I can't get for setcpu to ask me for permission for SetCpu. Everytime I press Auto Recommend it just goes into a blank black screen. Relaunching the app does not solve it either.Edit Unrooted my phone and rerooted my phone and reinstall setcpu same issue.I have also removed the root and did a factory reset and then rooted but the same problem. Edit Added some logcat if anyone can understand them.

I don't know why but my 3G is very intermittent if working at all. It has been like this for over 2 weeks now. The Tech at the verizon store put the phone on to "data when roaming".

I'm kind of frustrated at the MMS stuff, it seems like i can only get like 1 out of every 10 pictures that are sent to me friends back home send me pics and when i click on download it says it was unsuccessful.. i used the native sms app and the chompsms and both do the same thing - is this an issue others are having and is it recognized to be fixed by verizon or whoever? im scared to delete my texts because i really want to see these pictures from back home.

The last week or so I've noticed the droid all of a sudden can't find my precise location.I have gps turned on however when I try to locate my position it seems to only be using triangulation to do so and giving me an approximate wrong location with the huge blue circle around it.What could be the problem?

I searched under LED and I did not find what I was looking for. If I missed it then I apologize for starting a new thread. My LED just decided to stop working for text messages today. It still flashes for email but nothing for texts. I have tried taking the battery out and same thing. Anyone have any suggestions?

When I plug my new Droid into my computer (vista home), it is showing the H: removable disk but I can not do anything with it. It just says "Please insert a disk into Removable Disk (H" when I click on it. I was able to sync all my music on Friday, what could possibly be going on now? I am using my roommates Droid USB (don't think that would have anything to do with but thought I would mention).

When using G Maps, it says Waiting for Location almost indefinitely.I reinstalled the G Maps updates.Then I downloaded GPS Status to see if a different app could use the receiver and it had similar problems. After 20 minutes or so, it got a lock onto the satellites but not only did it display our location as several hundred feet off, it didn't track our movements while we were in the car going 60 mph.Apparently, it got a lock, but only momentarily or with very poor reception.So I have all of the typical forum questions.
1) Has this been reported before for the D2?
2) Is there anything I can do fix this before doing a hard reset?

It seems as though my droid x has a hard time with the wi-fi connection. I turn it on and the wi-fi signal comes up but i am getting horrible speeds. my ping is anywhere from 300 to 900 (Horrible) and then my download speed is 1400kbps or so. and the upload is around 1500 kbps or so. I have tried atleast a dozen tests. The speeds almost seem like 3g speeds. is it becuase the 3g isnt being turned off when the wifi is on and that is what i really am testing? please any advice would be great, i really like this phone but if my internet connection is going to be like this I don't think i can handle it.

As the title says, flash isn't working. Even if I go to here: Adobe Flash showcase for mobile (BETA) and click on a show it won't load. It looks like something is happening, but I can't view anything and after several minutes of waiting I give up. Is this a known problem and is there a solution?
If I go into astro and find com.adobe.flashplayer I click on the launch button and it says activity not found -com.adobe.flashplayer. I have droid w/ bb 0.2.1 running 800Mhz. I haven't added a new kernal or any theme.

Got stuck on MOTO loop, just like when i tried the leaked version. doing SBF now. i wonder if it was cuz i had a different boot screen. will update after. SBF/cache wipe/reset, Update : sbf not working like it did last time now i get on the X
MEM_MAP Blank Service req'd OK to program. did the update somehow stop the old SBF file from working? how long before a new SBF file is out? i cannot get the phone to where i can select factory restore.

I just yesterday noticed they aren't working, emails nor text messages. I don't know when it started not working, but I think it was working when I first installed bugless beast v1.0
LED notifications:
Stock email = none
Stock messaging = none
Custom stock messaging in BB = none
Handcent = none
I wiped cache/data/system everytime I installed a ROM to fix it.
Bugless beast v1.0 (twice) - not working
NexBeast - not working
Leaked BB - not working
It was working before with the leak for sure.
I don't have any other roms and with the alldroid drama I can't get them.
I checked setting and spare parts multiple times for some setting to no avail.

So my FB app doesnt re-up any FB notifications for some reason. It has been two solid days and on my phone it says I haven't had any notifications for 2 days on FB... while on the reg site (from my comp) I have had approx 15. Why isn't my FB app getting notifications?

ok so yesterday i got Froyo on my rooted Droid x and today i did the Deodexed Froyo but now whenever i record with my camcorder i get a error (this file cannot be viewed or played) How do i fix this? Edit: Does this have anything to do with Build.prop? if so how the hell do i edit it Edit2: Fixed it! the Problem was in build.prop i did research and just edited some thins to say false instead of true =D

My phone just got the 2.2 OTA update early this morning and since I've updated, my browser doesn't fully work anymore.
It opens fine, but whenever I try to tap an address in, it automatically closes. Sometimes a quick message flashes up, but I can't really even see it because it just comes and goes so fast.
Dolphin Browser has the same problem, so it's just not the stock browser that is having this problem.

I was really excited to be one of the 25 lucky ones to get a droid x today, but my camera doesn't seem to be working. At first it worked fine, just seemed a bit laggy, then allof a sudden the phone would restart wheni would open the camera app. Now the camera app just shows a blackscreen. I have reset the phone and restarted several times with no change.

I am able to hear everyone just fine but nobody can hear me (mic isn't working). It only works if I use speaker, but then everyone can hear my conversation. I tried rebooting, flashing different roms, removing battery but nothing solved the problem. I have recently got a refurb and I'm getting another one in the mail in 2 days, and don't want to root if it's causing problems with in-call sound. Also had flashed the froyo baseband, i don't know if this did anything cause I don't know if basebands affect the microphone?

I hold down the power button. Nothing. Odder. Pop out the battery, replace battery, try to power up the phone. Nothing (seemingly). So now I'm getting worried. I realized that the screen was turning on, but the phone was not booting up (at least it didn't seem like it was...the phone is on silent so it may be, I don't really know). I could tell because there was a faint glow coming from the screen that, if I pulled out the battery, disappeared.
None of the buttons (home, back, etc.) light up or do anything. There is no haptic feedback or anything like that. I'm at a loss about what could have happened / what might be wrong. I'm guessing I'm going to need to get a replacement, but I'd figure I'd ask around here for any theories. As, if/when I do need to replace the phone, I have a couple questions.
1. I bought the phone at BestBuy. Do I go to BestBuy or Verizon for a replacement?
2. The phone is rooted. I'd rather not return it to the store in that condition, but I can't think of any way to unroot it without being able to do anything on the screen (I tried booting up into Recovery, didn't work). I haven't been home yet so I don't know if I can get it connected to the computer, but without debugging turned on I don't think I'll have much luck. Any thoughts?
3. I have a PhantomSkinz on the phone. I thought I read somewhere that the clear stick on cases (PhantomSkinz, Zagg, etc.) void the warranty. That may be complete BS, which I hope it is...can anyone confirm or deny?

I had the new Chevy SS rom installed on my phone but didnt like it as much as the JRummy one. So I reflashed the JRummy rom and installed it. I wanted to reinstall the chevy ulv 1.2ghz kernel on my phone. I usally used rom manager and would just use the option "install ROM from sd card." this has worked everytime since I rooted. But now when I choose to reboot into recovery and continue the installation it just shows the motorola logo and nothing happens until I do a battery pull then the phone starts up normal. I have tried flashing the clockworld mod recovery again and uninstalling and reinstalling rom manager. (I use premium)

Every time i try to do anything with the app it says "an error occurred while attempting to run privileged commands!". i deleted rom manager and reinstalled it just to get the same message.

I tried using my navigation today to get to a snake call and the it just kept giving me the message Locating GPS. Luckily I had written down some directions before I left. But after over 30 minutes of driving, it never got a GPS lock. I have been keeping the GPS on all the time now because it has been getting worse and worse. At this point, it is about useless for navigation. Any ideas? This is a function that I REALLY need and I need it to work fast and on the fly.

I have a little droid/yahoo mail question. I bought my droid from verizon about a month ago and was able to set up my yahoo mail without a problem (thanks to this site) by buddy got his droid last week and we can't get yahoo to work for him. Have they changed something?
