General :: Programming Chain Dialing In Galaxy S4?
May 27, 2013I recently migrated from the iPhone to the Galaxy S4. When retrieving business voice mail messages from an external business voice mail system, I must call an access number, then follow voice prompts that request PIN numbers and mailbox numbers. I would like to be able to program within ''contacts," an entry titled "Office voice mail" that executes chain of commands that enable the phone to automatically dial number sequences with a single touch. I have been able to do with with every smartphone and calling device I've owned for the past 15 years.which dialer keys on the Galaxy S4 that correspond to "pause" and which key will enter programmable PIN numbers and authorization codes.

Nov 12, 2009So I have my Facebook account set to sync with my contact but I use Google voice all the time for text and phone. Is there a way to get the pictures that go with my contact to show up when they text or call my gvoice number?
All my pictures are from Facebook so if everything works right the pictures I see in gvoice should be the same as the profile pix in FB.

May 11, 2010I have been using Drodmod v1.0 for a while now and kinda bored. I've got it over clocked to 800mhz. Is it possible to make a nondroid backup using driodmod and lets say I want to upgrade to bugless beast rom. I know I can backup my apps using either astro or Titanium Backup utility, but can I take the nondroid backup and mix them into the bugless beast one so once i restore (bugless beast) it will have all of my information and apps already on there???

Jul 17, 2010Sorry if this has already been said, but while I was typing on the keyboard I noticed something cool. If you type a text or sentence and you look back and notice that a word you tried to type got switched to a different word because of a missed key or just because of the predictive text, instead of moving the cursor back and erasing, you can just click on that word. This brings up the original suggestions along with what you actually typed even if you've moved past this word. Maybe the original Droid had this? I came from an HTC Droid Eris.

Aug 24, 2010Maybe this is already out there but I don't recall reading it. Anyway, at the bottom of the screen where the phone, apps and browser icons are, theres little dots on either side. Pushing one side or the other scrolls the screen to that direction but if you push both sides at the same time, icons for all five home screens will pop up and you can pick the one you want to go to instead of scrolling through the pages.

Nov 20, 2009There seems to be lots of discussions on Battery life, so I did a test myself. I was getting about the same battery life as everybody else, about 6-7 hours with moderate usage. Which is what all the beta testers were getting pre release. I thought I would give something a try. First of all, when I picked up the phone it was about 75% charged. I charged it to 100%, and let it go down to about 30% that first day and then charged it. I followed this everyday for the first week, and was still getting the same battery life out of it. I never allowed the device to completely drain and shut off. Well I gave that a shot, and what did I find, My battery is lasting much longer, like doubled. So give this a try. I let the phone die, completely die so it shuts off. Then charge it 100% overnight. Worked for me, don't know if it will work for you, but give it a shot.

You can use one finger to hold the green icon, then you'll notice a little green icon on the other side of the screen (where the sound off icon usually is, it disappears when you hold the unlock icon). Then just tap that one too and it unlocks.

Aug 30, 2010I was using the quick the "contact quick task" widgets for one-touch dialing of key contacts prior to installing Launcher Pro. But now in LPP, they don't work. I've tried recreating them but they just seem to be broken in LPP.
Any fixes or ideas on other ways to do one-touch dialing with LPP? Also, is it just me or does "speed dial" (on the favorites page in dialer) not work at all. I can get to the speed dial page but cannot successfully add contacts.
Motorola Droid X :: Symptoms - 3g Cut Out - Googled - Dialing
Oct 14, 2010Quick rundown on what I've done to my DX: First got it, OTA 2.2 update, rooted, then deodexed with 928droid's black glass deodexerrr, then installed incognito theme. Alright, after I installed the Icognito theme yesterday, a few hours later, a few strange things started happening. My 3g cut out, googled around, and tried dialing *228 then option 1. A few minutes later the 3g came back on but eventually quit working again. I tried a battery pull a few times, nothing. Then I tried the *228 again, nothing. Second, I have this damn "Memory usage" thing on my homescreen that I have no idea where it came from. Lastly, now whenever I reboot my phone, it boots automatically into clockwork recovery. When I'm in clockwork and hit "reboot now", it boots up fine. Here's a screenshot for more info on what I'm talking about:

Apr 1, 2010This may be just me or my combo of applications but, When I enter a number on the touchpad and press dial the screen goes dark and will not come back or accept input unless I put the phone to my face or otherwise cover the the light sensor. Even pressing the power button does not bring the screen back . I have forced the 2.1 update and have not noticed this behavior before. Not a big deal but is annoying if you dial a wrong number.

Mar 10, 2010For some reason my droid likes to power on in my pocket (I think its the screen sliding open/closed causing this). As I use the unlock pattern, it seems the emergency dial function is too prominent on the screen and almost every time I'll hear my phone using the emergency dialer when the phone presses against my leg while walking.Does anyone know if there's a planned fix or already released fix that can make the emergency dialer also a 'slide to activate' like answering a phone call or possibly reduce the emergency dial button in size considerably? As I've pretty much given up on Motorola providing much in the way of Droid updates at this point, esp since they appear to be ditching android slowly I'd be willing to root for this functionality.

HTC Droid Eris :: Fun Trick - Screen Fades In And Out
Dec 11, 2009If you lock the phone by pressing end, the screen goes blank instantly. If you press the end button to bring up the lock screen (do not unlock), and then quickly double click the end button, the screen fades in and out. Phone is still locked, so no real use. Discovered this in a meeting today. I forget what the meeting was about and before someone else says it, yes, this is completely pointless.
