i have downloaded custom rom but there are some bugs such as
1)Dialpad layout on dialing screen is not working
2)the symbol for internet H+ or E is showing but the problem is that it doesn't show that data is enable and able to transfer data.

When I'm generally sending an SMS or using the text pad, there is a hepatic response which is welcome in my opinion. However when dialing, I don't get any vibration feedback. I swear remembering this was so
My firmware is 1.5.Can anyone suggest as to how to turn it on? Vibration is enabed in Touch Input btw
It always (and I mean 100%) tries to call the wrong person or perform the wrong action. Has anyone had any luck with this "feature" at all? I'm about to give up on it as it seems pretty useless.

1. Turned on Bluetooth
2. Turned on my Bluetooth headset - got the headset connected message.
3. Pushed the button on my bluetooth headset and said: "Call _______ at home."
Nothing happens. How do I fix?I used the update.zip file linked at Android Central to manually update to Android 2.2.
Now that we have root, will there be a way for us to get bluetooth voice dialing working? A well needed feature.

I am giving the height dynamically for the three layout in java file, so i need to give 12% of height to header and footer layout, and the remaining 75% i need to assign height to body layout. I need to do aa Factory Reset of one of my rooted android devices. I have the Home Screen pages set up just the way I want them to be and am trying to avoid having to reconstruct them once the Factory Reset has been done. I'm assuming that all of theat data (wallpaper, layout, app widgets page and position location is stored somewhere.
So, where do I find it so that I can make a copy of it and then restore it once I've rooted the phone again.
This may be just me or my combo of applications but, When I enter a number on the touchpad and press dial the screen goes dark and will not come back or accept input unless I put the phone to my face or otherwise cover the the light sensor. Even pressing the power button does not bring the screen back . I have forced the 2.1 update and have not noticed this behavior before. Not a big deal but is annoying if you dial a wrong number.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI use HTC desire, using Froyo 2.2 by pinky (based on official rom).One thing that bothers me so much, is after I dial a number from phone, some screen savers of android like cartoons showed up. The pictures were like android character playing guitar, android eating ice cream, sometime as stupid as android eating hot dog.Is this normal for android os? or did I just misinstalled some apps that does this? from what i remember I never installed screen saver apps. Those screensavers bothers me so much! As I was becoming unable to see the 'End call' button!

Not a real pressing need for me to look at the little green Android guy either.Instead, that action usually means I need to press a series of numbers for an automated call service. My dialer has a small button in the lower left corner that will bring up the dialpad but I would prefer it be up front and center by default. It's a small thing but if there's something out there to make it happen, I'd be interested.

Is there a way to automatically make the dial pad pop up instead of the search? If I want to search for a phone number I'll go into the internet. When I click on the phone icon I want the dialpad to be there. If there isn't a way to fix this then I might not upgrade my phone when the time comes to upgrade.

View 6 Replies View RelatedMy Virgin Mobile HTC EVO 3D on ICS is having touch screen issues...but only in games. In games such as Minecraft: PE, Modern Combat 4, Modern Combat 3, COD:BOZ, N64oid, and similar games which use an on-screen joystick, it isn't working. I can place my finger on the joystick (or where it's supposed to be) and try and touch and drag, but it either doesn't respond or responds for half a second then acts as if my thumb isn't even there. It's really driving me insane. I'm not able to play any of these expensive apps anymore. My old EVO 3D recently killed itself due to an unknown issue, so VM sent me the phone I have now literally the day after Christmas. I had this same issue with my last EVO 3D. It's gotten to the point where I'm considering purchasing a PowerA MOGA controller, just so I can play these apps.

But now the phone dialpad does not load at all the first time I touch the dialpad icon (it brings up a small white panel layout). Here is the layout I have: Here you can see that the first textview has a weight of 2, second has a weight of 0, but still the second text view takes up all the space. If I give the first edit view a weight of 0 and second a weight of 2, surprisingly, first edit view gets more space. Isn't this weird, or am I doing something very wrong. View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a simple horizontal linear_layout with bunch of image views in it. the trick is that the views have different widths, relative to the size of their parent (the linear layout). I set the layout's weightSum to a 100 and the layout_weight to let's say 10 of one view and 15 of the other, on so on. And it did not work. I also tired using float values setting the weightSum to 1.0 and the layout_weight of the image views to 0.2 and 0.3 and so on. But it didn't work either. I did search this group for any references to the weightSum but found nothing. Any ideas how to handle it?

i got a brand new S3 In december 2013 , i dropped it an it broke ( both touch and LCD ) I got them replaced by a authorized service . It worked fine 2 months , Two days ago some problem appeared, Touch screen stopped working propperly , it worked only for short periods of time. Now if i press really hard on the right hand corner (Above the return arrow) it works Perfectly ( as long as i keep my finger there) but sometimes it works fine after reboot but in the end it stops (No signs of cracks or damage) , i had CM11. What i've done until now :
-Deleted CM11 and added 4.1.2
-Took it appart and checked the ribbon ( fine)
-Hard reset
- Dummy file generator
Everything works on it buttons ,Before the freezing screen flashes a bit .
