I have about 13GB of music on my SD card. A few of the albums show up as "Unknown artist" (everything else is correct: song name, album name, album art). It is kind of annoying.
Anyone else have this problem. I have spent a lot of time tagging my music. I know my music is tagged correctly b/c it works just fine in Winamp, iTunes, iPod, Songbird, etc.

For some of the albums/songs it says Unknown Artist but when I look at the files they are all in the proper folders with correct names. I added music using DoubleTwist if that helps.

View 10 Replies View RelatedWhenever I boot my SGS2, PlayerPro Automatically starts (shows up in the notification bar, but doesn't play any music.), it states that it's playing a blank song (no name) by an unknown artist/album. View 1 Replies View RelatedDid they seriously not include a way to "hide" folders that you don't want showing up in albums? For example, it just searched my SD card and came up with an "icons" folder that contains various program icons. Is there seriously no way to tell it not to appear in HTC album? On windows mobile we had to resort to registry edits to correct this, but I'm afraid we can't do that on android... Also, is there serious no subfolders? So I can't have something like: Photographs -> Family -> Pets

View 2 Replies View RelatedMy girlfriend made me several mix CD's for Christmas, and I'd very much prefer to just rip them to my Droid since I use that as my primary MP3 player now. The problem I'm having is that even though I place the ripped MP3's into a folder named as I want it to appear under artists, and then the subfolder named as I want the album to appear in the music player, once I go into the player on my Droid it just says "Unknown Artist" then "Unknown Album." I don't understand why it's doing this, because I have the folder named the way I want them to appear and it's not working, yet other music I downloaded in my music folder is correctly showing up on the player. To better illustrate what I mean: In my music folder on the SD card, I just added a folder "CD1" with the album "Album1" inside that, with the tracks inside that. INstead of on the player it being displayed as "CD1" under artist" and then "album 1" under the album drop down, it just says "Unknown Artist" and then "Unknown Album," but the tracks are there.

Also, can anyone tell me the difference between voice search and voice dialer? It seems like when I use voice dialer, I say "Call Home" and a list of options pops up of who to call (one choice being Home) (When I wish it would have just automatically called Home), but if I use voice search it automatically does call Home.
Tried installing Angry birds, running ZapX and i'm getting the error in the title.. Tried searching but came up empty..
View 5 Replies View RelatedI plugged my Droid X into my computer to try and transfer a video I took today. It came up with a Motorola "CD ROM" drive. I clicked the setup file, installed it, then switched my phone to USB Storage. Windows tried installing the drivers and said there was an error. Now when I connect my phone to the computer nothing happens besides windows saying theres an unknown device.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI ran into the first problem with my Droid- and I am sure it is not the Droid itself. I am running Vista32- I have Motorola Media Link installed. When I plug my Droid into the PC, I get a mass storage device that installs OK most of the time, and an "unknown device".. Even when I mount the SD from the phone, I still see no Drive in my computer The unknown device never installs. I have tried almost every suggestion i have seen.. reboot pc..reinstall MML, reboot phone.. no luck

View 2 Replies View RelatedComing from a Iphone to the X the music player is a little lacking. Often I will go into a certain artist and want to play all the songs by that artist, or thumb through all their songs to find a certain one. On the stock music player on the X this seems hard to do (maybe I'm missing something).
if I pull up the music by artist and select a certain artist then it shows me all their albums (The iphone has the option at this point to select all albums and see all the songs of that artist in alphabetical order). The X doesn't give a option to select all albums at this point. If I go to artists and long press on a certain artist I can select play and it will start playing all that artists songs, then I can hit pause and go into the list from that point to see all the songs but they seem to be in a random order making it hard to find a specific song.
I've tried a couple other players and haven't been able to find one that functions like the Iphone, makes it hard to quickly find one song.
I have a droid razr and I am using bluetooth to play music through my car nav system[Kenwood dnx9140]. everything works fine,but I can't figure out how to transfer song title and artist to the nav screen. Is it possibly an app that I need or an update that I need to do?

I was pleasantly surprised all of my contacts showed up, all my apps were still there just like I had it when I had 1.5. Oh, and texts and recent calls still being there was another plus.One thing doesn't seem to be working though.My albums are gone! Well, not really. They're still on the SD card with their respective pictures in them, in the albumthumbs folder. I can't see them on the phone, though. My question is this: Does anyone else have this problem? And has anyone fixed it? I tried unmounting the card and remounting, and they still didn't show up. Is there another directory they have to be in with 2.1?

I tried to figure it out on my own and it shows a little icon that made an album, and I have supposedly inserted photos into it, but when I click on it, it doesn't show the pictures in the album. So I don'tdont even know if they are in there or what. how to send it via email if possible. I have the entire droidx 2 64-pg manual downloaded to my device, and none of it says anything about albums.

View 13 Replies View RelatedBefore I proceed, I would like to say that despite the complaints that follow, I absolutely love my Droid Eris.
1) First and foremost, the four front screen "buttons". These are a major source of aggravation for me. I would estimate that they only work about 25% of the time. The only way to get them to register my commands is to swipe them up or down which usually results in unwanted "taps" on other on screen functios.
2) The pinch zoom function worked great for the first week. Now I can very rarely get it to work.
3) Major lag when flipping through pictures in albums. Major! It's absolutely ridiculous. They're only thumbnails!
4) HTC flash only seems to work for about ten videos. After that, it just won't open when I try to play a video. They only way to get it back is to kill browser with task killer.
5) Not really a complaint, but it would be nice if the browser had options for on screen navigation buttons like back, home, bookmarks, Windows(tabs), etc.
6) The weather and clock widget displays the wrong weather,city,and time at least 95% of the time. The clock is the worst. Not even the same time zone which is extremely uncool. I very rarely look at the small system clock so it has caused me problems on more than a few occasions.
All of this I can live with...except for the four front screen buttons. They aggravate me to the point that I've wanted to throw the phone accross the room on more than one occasion.
Use Picture Viewer to read e-books and such... Well, try to. It seems it does show the files in order? By that, I mean alphabetically by filename. Has anyone else noticed this or is it just me?
View 5 Replies View RelatedWhen I try to use Sense to view photo albums for one friend, it shows that they have zero photo albums. The official facebook app does the same. If I use the browser to visit her profile, I can see her numerous photo albums easily, but damnit! I want the software to work like it's designed and this little bug seems so bizarre. As far as I can tell, the missing albums bug only applies to this one friend. I would be able to easily overlook the bug except that one friend is my fiancee.

View 6 Replies View RelatedInstead, they are replaced by a generic green "Droid" icon. These are apps that are newly downloaded, and some that I've had for a long time. It's only a few of them, and it isn't a random thing- They stay that way, and the others still show up. I don't know if this is a Sweeter Home II issue, or a Sholes 2.0.1 ROM issue, or something that's up with these particular apps. In SWII, I do have the icons resized to about 75% of their original size. But even in the "Manage Applications" list, where they are all stock sized icons, they behave the same way. I've unloaded & reloaded apps to no avail.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI use the Handcent SMS and the LED color (blue) and it worked perfectly fine. I set the color to a custom color now and when I get a text, the LED for SMS doesn't show up. I also have the custom color off now too. I also have Missed Call. I used it to set a color for the SMS LED, but it still does not work.
