View 11 Repliesso, I'm having a problem syncing my photo gallery with picasa. whenever i go into accounts & sync in the settings i only see options for contacts, gmai, and calendar. is there something I'm missing?
View 23 Replies View RelatedI don't remember how I did it, but I was somehow able to upload all the photos that I've taken with the camera to Picasa. Now I have quite a few videos in there as well, but I do remember a message saying that videos are not supported by Picasa and that only the photos would be uploaded. I'm now trying to do the same thing, but whenever I choose the entire 'Camera' folder to upload to Picasa, the only 'Share' options are YouTube, Gmail, and Bluetooth. Does anyone know how I may have done that the first time, or a way to sync photos from the gallery to Picasa web albums?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI upload photo's from my computer to Picasa Web using Picasa, where they are stored in my Google Plus space.
Under my account sync settings in Android, along with Gmail and Contacts and all that, I've got "Sync Google Photos" and "Sync Picasa Web Albums".
What's the difference between these two choices?
So one of the features I really liked about my iPhone, and my windows phone devices was that I could simply go into my gallery app, and view my Fb albums right from the device. I recently got on with t-mobile, and purchased a Samsung Galaxy SII which I love in most respects..
BUT
The gallery only displays the photos I take, but I want all my fb albums displayed too... how do I accomplish this? Is there an app I can download, settings I can change, voodoo rituals I need to perform??....
I can for the life of me figure out how to get my pictures from picasa to show up in the gallery. Does anyone know how to do this? 2nd: I set up two seperate hotmail accounts. But when I click on the email app, only the defualt email shows up. Any way to get them both to show up?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have a Fascinate that automatically populated my Gallery with the zillions of photo albums I've uploaded to Picasa. My boyfriend has a Droid X and I put my Picasa email/password in his Accounts thinking it'd just effortlessly autopopulate his gallery with my pictures too, but it didn't. I looked around on the internet and saw that you could download the older Gallery (the one that's like the one on my Fascinate), so I did, but again, there's no setting that I see to show my Picasa albums on there, there's no auto-populating, nothing.
Any ideas how I can make this happen without having to go into a separate application or on the web to see these? I looked it up on another site and it said settings can be found at "settings > accounts & sync" but the Droid only has Accounts listed, no Sync.
I just finished the update to 2.1, and all went well. But when I went to look at my gallery, it downloaded and is showing all of my Picasa pictures! It never did this before, and I can't seem to find a settings menu to make it not do this! I would go ahead and delete the folders it added from Picasa, but before I do this, I want to make sure that it's not going to delete them on my Picasaweb account too.
Did anyone else have this problem? Will deleting the Picasa pics that showed up on my phone make the ones on my online account go away?
Never mind, just found the answer:
Similar to syncing for contacts and email, thumbnails of synced photos are transferred wirelessly, so there's no need to plug your phone into your computer. You can add and select the Google accounts associated with the Picasa photos you want to sync with the Gallery in the "Accounts & sync" tab under Settings. Click on an account and mark the checkbox next to "Sync Picasa Web Albums" to automatically pull your online photos into the Gallery.
It still would have been nice if this were an opt-in thing, but at least I can turn it off...
I can't believe they removed the cool 3D gallery application, which will automatically show your Picassa pics, for the new crappy one. Here are some instructions and a link to add the old one to your Droid X so you can view and share Picasa pics!
View 13 Replies View RelatedSo on my DInc running Froyo I now have an extra link under my google account that lets me sync my Picasa web albums. I have no idea how this works though. I took pictures, but they didn't upload to Picasa. Can I set this up natively? I've been using Photobucket, but I'd prefer a Google service if it works better.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI don't get how a phone that says google on the back, doesn't have access to Picasa. I understand some phones have this but I need something that will work on my eris. The mobile site works great but for some unknown reason you can't access all your albums. Mainly I'm looking for access but some kind of automatic syncing for pictures in my phone would be great.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI am already syncing the Picasa Web Album for my mail google account on my galaxy, but i have a secondary google acount which I sync emails from. When I go to Accounts and Sync, there is no option for me to sync my second google acount's Picassa Web Albums. Does anybody know how I can sync 2 Picasa Web Albums, both of which have been setup on different google accounts?

I also downloaded this on My mac I was able to just Command Click every single song I wanted and sync it directly to my phone straight from iTunes. And I made a folder and Copied a BUNCH of photo's from iPhoto directly into the Folder I created in my camera Gallery.
I thought 2.1 would bring picasa support to our phones, since the moto droid on 2.1 has it, but apparently our photo gallery doesn't have this feature. It seems odd that they would include flickr and Facebook sync but not google's own service? Does anyone else have an app that will sync or access picasa? Their mobile site doesn't auto sync and doesn't let you view all your albums.
View 3 Replies View RelatedWas it meant to fail? Each time I try to upload a pic it tells me to enter an account or make a new one, it jumps from the caption enter page to the new account setup screen...
The regular gallery app is limited to flickr which I don't use, I don't use Picasa either but keeping all else google at least makes it easier to integrate later on... I don't use facebook either... Heaven would be imageshack for me, so what does one do in this dilly of a pickle?
Touchwiz gallery seems to pull pictures posted in Google+ into separate folders labeled by date posted as opposed to one folder labeled "Photos from Posts" like Picasa or stock ICS/JB does.
Attached is a picture of the folders I am talking about. It's the ones I wish to remove/hide.
Is there any way to have it do the same as stock and place them in one folder as well?
If not, is there any way to simply hide them while keeping the rest of the folders from picasa visible?
If not, is there a third party gallery that will allow me to do the above asked.

View 1 Replies View RelatedAfter a 3 year stint with Windows Phone I've come back to Android with the purchase of a Galaxy S4, however the transition back hasn't been entirely smooth.
how android organizes the photo gallery. Doesn't matter the app, they all seem to organize in a similar way - find all folders with photos in it, list every folder as a separate album. That's great, but I don't want that.
On my Lumia 920 I had my photos organized like this. And on the device, they show up like this:I have folders with only subfolders as content. And they retain this organization in the photo viewer. I cannot find a single app that does this. I've tried Scalado, QuickPic, Just Pictures, Android ICS Gallery, Samsung Gallery, Customization Android 3D Gallery - nothing.
Is this just how the media scanner works? Any way to organize into subfolders within a gallery app? Is there any app that allows me to custom define my own setup? I wouldn't mind having to configure a text file to my setup, I just want it organized.
This is how BB, iOS, WP, and almost every other mobile OS organizes photos. The application F-Stop Media Gallery on the android marketplace allows the construction of custom albums. Although you cannot specify covers for the empty albums containing sub-albums, I've found a decent workaround.
With sub-albums looking like this. In order to get some form of album cover, you need images in the folder. However it will take the top 4 images and use those, so if you want a phone for the whole cover you'll need to split it up into 4 quadrants. Or just do 1 image and deal with it being small. Also, albums within other albums don't take on covers for some reason. I contacted the device and he said this was intentional but they were looking to change this in the future.
Albums need to be manually defined, which is a tad irritating but it works alright once you have it set up.
I currently have G+ to sync photos. In my gallery, every photo syncs just fine except for the Instant Upload folder.
In the G+ app, under photos - Instant Upload album displays the images just fine.
In short, gallery shows Instant Upload as a blank folder but G+ shows it full of picture.

I believe I have tried everything now to get rid of all my picasa pictures in the gallery on my tablet included reading the forum and the rest of internet and now my brain is soon exploding.I have a Iconia tablet with Taboonay 2.2 custom rom. What have I done:
-I have stopped automatic sync option in account/sync to my gmail account, there is now way to tick off gmail, contacts, calendar and picasa.Only option is to stop auto sync with the gmail account itself.
-in settings/app menu I have closed down gallery app and clear data
-with astro I have deleted cache in ..android/data/com.android.gallery3d and android/data/com.google.android.gallery3d
-then I have wiped dalvik in recovery
but the pictures comes back like magic in front of my eyes every time I have tried.
How can I remove the thumbnail of an album in the gallery on my Captivate? I'm running 2.1.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm sure it's been asked before but are there any good alternatives to the default Gallery/Albums app?
I have a T-Mobile G2 (HTC Hero) on 1.5 at the moment and the Albums app is such a frustration. I really can't see why the developers didn't figure out a way of navigating a tree structure?
Currently I have a lot of photos and they are stored on the SD card under a directory for year (eg 2007) then a directory for month (eg 03_march) then a directory for the event/place. It's how I store them on the desktop. Of course, the Albums app simply shows me every single directory with photos in, so I lose the ability to navigate by year/month/etc.
I know that Astro file explorer can do what I want, but the image viewer it has is limited and simply not as nice as the Album app, and the thumbnails are too small. Am I alone in NOT wanting to see hundred and hundreds of "albums" but rather see my photos stored how *I* want them stored?
I have an android razr M and all my photos go to an album that I never make.
For example,
when I save a photo from Facebook, it goes into a album called "facebook"
when I take a photo, it goes into an album called "camera"
when I save a photo that I received through text it goes to an album called "messaging"
when I edit a photo it goes into an album called "edit"
I never made these albums, and I don't choose where the photos go. How can I create albums, and how do I put the photos I take/save into the album I want?
can anyone else upload video/pictures from the gallery to youtube/picasa successfully? mine keeps saying "failed to retrieve account information" no matter what service I try to upload to.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI want to be able to pull in google plus photos when using photoshop touch and autostitch apps etc. But their import options only access local folders on my device. I can download individual photos one at a time to a generic download folder from google plus to use, not full albums. When I try to create a new folder in gallery, and move the Picasa/Google Plus photos I get a notice saying "unsupported file." I read somewhere that there should be an option in gallery that makes photos available offline, but I don't have that. Just basically trying to be able to organize and download my g+ photos for use with these apps, in a less time consuming way.
