I currently just use Aux-In for my car stereo which works fine, but I came across this on Amazon Amazon.com: Clarion BLT370 Bluetooth Audio/Cellular Phone and it seems like it could be very handy. Anyone use one of these with any luck?

I think it only supports the A2DP bluetooth profile (no hfp).Right now the music plays through the car stereo just fine but when I get a phone call it does not. Ideally I would like to have the phone call audio go through the stero and use the phone's microphone as if it were on speakerphone. Is this possible?My phone is a g1 running the latest experimental release of cyanogenmod rom.I would love a built in solution but I think the ability to do that is so non standard it wouldn't exist. An existing marketplace app with the ability would be great, too. I have not done any android development but I am a java developer, so a pointer on how to do it programmatically (or that it is not possible) would be great, too.

Obviously, I would prefer to play my music thru my car stereo via AUX cable, rather then streaming via my bluetooth speaker.I already spoke with tech support for my new BlueAnt S4 and they said there is no way to disable it via the speakerphone. Hopefully, there is a way to block it on the phone directly.

Apparently my device is not being recognized as a storage. I did the unmount thinking. Also, I am wondering how I can play audio from my phone through the RR audio system.

I just started Pandora up on my shiny new Epic but the audio does not stream to my BT headset by default apparently and I cannot figure out how to make it so. I have the new Blueant Q2 and have been streaming music on my Palm Pre prior to today.

My 'droid will not connect to my Garmin 785T with the A2DP profile, sound for phone speaker phone works fine tho. Garmin won't do anything, I've already talked to them, are there any adjustments or setting on the droid that I can try to make this work, I'd really like to get Pandora or other audio going thru it.

View 8 Replies View RelatedCan somebody give me a straight answer on Bluetooth on the Droid and car stereo's.I've tried using the droid on a sony mex-bt3700u, a pioneer I don't remember the name of and a jvc kd-r800 on display in various stores. It will pair and work fine (Stream A Online Radio, GPS Navigation, and hands free phone conversations) except 2 things.My understanding is that the stereo should not come up as headphones.It does.The second thing is, shouldn't you be able to browse, pick, and choose (AVRCP) the phones music content in the Droid from the stereo?I can't do it on any of these stereos.I'm at my witts end.I really want to replace this beater stereo in my late model Porsche, but want to do it right the first time and not be pulling and replacing it multiple times.

Situation: On airplane with in flight wireless. Want to allow wireless, but disallow cellular, including 2g/3g data.
I've looked around and haven't found a whole lot about Page Plus. But from what I can gather, they use the Verizon network, and you can use any (or most?) Verizon phone....like the Eris. And the reviews seem to be pretty positive.Anyone have any experience with Page Plus?cause their plans are cheap....much cheaper than Verizon.
View 36 Replies View RelatedI'm at my friends lake cabin, but the signal here is God awful. Nobody's phone can get a consistent signal, even on 1x. The nearest Verizon tower is a few miles away and it doesn't help that there are hills in the way. Text messages are the most reliable form of communication. But it keeps bouncing between 3g and 1x murdering my battery.
Its not huge deal since I'm doing stuff during the day, but browsing the web would be nice for killing downtime at night.
I would just like some tips on boosting a poor cellular signal. If it helps, we have a cellular booster attached to the TV antenna, and some tin foil.
Does anyone know if there is a way for either meridian or the regular android player to recognize audio tags on lossless audio files?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm toying with the idea of making a car dock for my Droid. The official Droid dock doesn't work with any cases and if the iPhone is any indication, no one will ever make one that does. Plus, it doesn't do everything I want.
I want to plug my phone in with as little fuss as possible, have it charge, output audio to my car stereo through USB. Charging is absolutely necessary, and I want to avoid using the headphone jack for audio if I can because it's an extra thing I'd have to plug in rather than just sliding the phone right in the dock. Better yet if the USB audio output is a constant volume intended for control on another device.
So.. Is it possible? If I need hack a car charger in to a usb audio cable I'm fine with that (unless I could get both in one). This thing would do it, but it looks like it has more pins than standard usb (can't really tell in that pic, but maybe someone knows?), and the Droid doesn't.
My other options are connecting the Droid directly to the head unit via USB and mounting it as a mass storage device, but I prefer the way the Droid handles music better than the head unit, and mounting the USB is an extra step I'd probably get too lazy for. And finally, I'd considered making an app that spoofs an iPod, since my HU has iPod controls, but that's more work than it's worth when the Android music player's controls are just as good.
I just put an .avi movie on my DX and tried to play it. Video looks great but no audio. It sounds great on my PC. Any ideas?

View 10 Replies View RelatedI just got the brand new Droid 2 Global, trading up (WAY up) from a BlackBerry Tour. The audio settings for my earbuds show "audio effects" that can be enabled, but the only one that works is "effects profile", which is a "sound stage" stereo separation thing. The other two are Surround and Equalizer, but they are grayed out and don't work. The Equalizer is stuck on the Extreme Bass setting. What gives? Why isn't there an actual EQ function on this thing?

View 5 Replies View Relatedjust started using the Pandora music app, but my kids in the back seat could not hear it. so I stopped by Walgreens and picked up the "JUPITOR JACK". you can't miss it cause it has the big red ad: "AS SEEN ON TV". it works well enough, but I had to tweak my car audio system to make it decent. whatever the droid plays comes out on the car radio, it's better then my old belkin FM transmitter.

View 1 Replies View Relatedlet me start out by saying that I totally expected this to flop, and not even come close to working.I have a Kenwood DNX6140 installed in my car.So on the way home tonight for some reason I decided to try an experiment.I live in southern california. I ran the A-Online-Radio app, and searched for a radio station I loved in Rochester, NY when I was going to school there. Low and behold, it shows up in the list.So, I turn on the bluetooth on the phone, and connect to the kenwood. I switch the kenwood to the bluetooth input, it says "connected to Droid" (didn't even expect to get this far lol), and hit play on the A-Online-Radio.
And poof, the audio starts playing through the kenwood and out my car speakers.That is so freaking awesome, I still can't believe it.The last time I was able to do this was with my VZ XV6700. I would use internet explorer on the WM device, and connect to the web page, and start the streaming, which would come out of the phones speakers. Then I'd connect an FM transmitter to the phone, so I could hear it on the stereo in the car. That sucked, was a pain in the butt, but it worked.
