This is my first time posting but i had a pretty interesting question. Is there a way, to connect my phone to my Pc through bluetooth or wifi and you is as remote audio device. Meaning I am playing a movie on my computer but I am laying in bed with my headphones pluged into my phone and hearing all the sound.

I connected my phone via USB to my RR sport to upload audio files to the RR hard drive. However, I keep getting connection error. Apparently my device is not being recognized as a storage. I did the unmount thinking. Also, I am wondering how I can play audio from my phone through the RR audio system.

is that possible (at least theoretically) to get working steaming audio to wireless and wired headphones simultaneously [Android 4]? It doesn't matter, if you steam the whole system sound or just sound of single program (for example music player). The idea is to get audio output on 2 devices at the same time. If that is not possible, can confirm possibility to steam audio using A2DP to 2 separate headsets? I've met some old devices (for example samsung cell phones on their own OS) which allowed to select multiple bluetooth devices as clients and steam music from the player simultaneously to multiple headsets.

Is there a way to assign a name to each phone so that they are identified on the router like computers and other devices are? Currently the Android phones just show up as "unknown" device. The Wi-Fi is secured with 128-bit encryption, so I'm not concerned with the neighbors connecting, but it would be nice to be able to see which phones are on the network at any one time.

From an application (android application :) ), I would like to intercept the audio stream to analyze it, to record it, etc. From this application (let's say "the analyzer") I don't want to start an mp3 or something, all I want is to have access to the audio stream of android. Any advice is appreciated, it could a Java or C++ solution.

At any point in time I want to know how much data is buffered with the device. I want to use this so that if the data with the device go below a level, I want to go into a buffering mode where I will buffer 2-3 seconds of data before continuing playback again. Also, thereīs almost nothing about it on the forum right now and I couldnīt find good resources over the internet.
Iīve seen pretty quick and objective examples on how to access the main information from the containers but I couldnīt find in any place how I could get the names of the tracks (MediaStore.Audio.AudioColumns doesnīt have an specific constant for it) and the most important, how I could retrieve the path for the media (audio file in this case) Iīve found using the info on MusicStore.Audio.
am I missing something here? It seems it should be so easy but I canīt find the info! Also if I change any data on the container, will this data be also changed in the real file as well?

getting one Android device to be able to stream its audio to another Android device. Specifically I want to stream music but I'd also like notification sounds and other audio to stream.
I have a second, older phone, that I am repurposing.
I want to add one more endpoint audio device in android and am trying to modify the setRouting() functions to support the selection of the new added audio device. As far I traced, the doRouting() in class AudioHardwareOss should perform the audio endpoint device selection. However, donRouting() just returns NO_ERROR without any other functionalities. So, my question is where and how endpoint audio device selection is achieved.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have an application that is playing audio, and I would like to allow the listener to toggle between pause and play while the screen is locked, as it is a hassle to have to unlock the screen in order to pause the audio playback. Is there any way to monitor for KeyEvent.KEYCODE_DPAD_CENTER while the the screen is locked? I have been looking through the documentation but have not found any information on how to do this.

Friend of mine told me today that ones of his co-workers have their phone set-up where it is bluetooth connected to his laptop, His laptop is connected to his home television which makes the tv act as his monitor, then he uses his android phone as the wireless keyboard and trackball for the mouse. He wasn't sure what phone exactly he had, or what app he was using.
My questions are. Is this possible with the eris? If so, is there a specific app you need to get? I know that the Eris doesn't do data over bluetooth, so I don't know if this is something that won't work now, but may work with an upgrade to 2.x. This is something that I would be interested in doing.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI was curious why at home when I'm connect all the time with wireless that the wireless status would not display immediately when I unlock my phone.
So today I left my wireless settings page up. Then let the phone lock and sit idle. When I opened it sure enough the wireless had diconnected and as soon as it was unlocked began obtaining an IP from my network.
THIS IS NOT THE BEHAVIOR I'M LOOKING FOR!!
I like to have various apps running while at home and I want them to go through my home wireless not 3G.
This seems like something Verizon would probably prefer as well.
Is there some setting I'm missing?

just started using the Pandora music app, but my kids in the back seat could not hear it. so I stopped by Walgreens and picked up the "JUPITOR JACK". you can't miss it cause it has the big red ad: "AS SEEN ON TV". it works well enough, but I had to tweak my car audio system to make it decent. whatever the droid plays comes out on the car radio, it's better then my old belkin FM transmitter.

I always run into the same problem though. wired or wireless, i cant get it to connect right. wired never works in any way but i dont really care about that. wireless however shows some signs of working. it shows some data has been sent, not received though. and my computer will detect and connect to it, but seems to lose the signal after a few moments. when i bring up a browser it doesnt even look like something might load. it just says im offline. could someone help me with this?
The other part of this problem is i really just want to connect to my computers ad hoc network and use a wireless keyboard and mouse program. none of them seem that great unfortunately.. recommendations are appreciated. but my biggest issue is that i cant seem to connect to an ad hoc network. i believe my phone detected it only once while i was on the "white widow" rom, but could never quite connect..
Is there anyway for the phone to remember my password, so that when it tries to connect to the WiFi, it will NOT ask me to enter the password. It is a hexadecimal number and it is frustrating me when I have to enter it every few minutes when the phone finds a different network, then wants to switch back to mine.
