View 6 RepliesI can't seem to find it anywhere..but whenever I receive a call and pick it up, I get a mini-vibrate, as well as when I hang it up.I can't find this setting anywhere.

View 6 Replies View Relatedso the phone does the great thing of recognizing when you're using the phone on a call but if you hold the phone with you shoulder or just not right against your face it activates the screen and you hang up on people. does anyone know how (or if) you can turn that function off so that if you want to activate the screen during a call you have to press a button or physically activate the screen?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI am using commitva z71 category phone. (motorola quench xt3 xt502).
I had been using cyanogenmod roms on it. presently i have CM 7.1 EAV 7.2. The roms usually came with ADW launcher as default. But one problem I have been facing is that some times my phone does not respond to press of any button, not even power button after ending a call. The screen however goes off and does not light up.
I have to either remove the battery, replace it and restart or I have to make a call to my phone from another phone. When I give a missed call, the phone gets activated. But when I press Menu button, it brings up the keyboard instead of Menu.
This problem has been persisting whichever version of CM Rom I have been using.
The problem aggravates when I use Go Launcher as my default launcher by using Launcher Switcher. When I use ADW as default lanucher but have Go Launcher also on my phone, sometimes the defaults are cleared and I am asked to choose the launcher to finish the task of closing phone app.
Initially, I thought this was the problem of default phone app. So I tried dialer one from play store, but to no avail.
Is there a way to delete the ADW launcher that comes with the custom ROM?
The end call button gets hit by my cheek and drops calls, anyone else having this problem? Is there a way to lock the screen or an App to lock the screen during calls?
View 5 Replies View Relatedevery time I make a call, receive a call, turn the phone off, turn the phone on, loose service or gain service, a voice says "Verizon Wireless". This is very annoying and I can't seem to figure out how to turn it off. Changing ring tones and such does not work, still says "Verizon Wireless". Is there anyway to turn this off?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI don't remember my DroidX always doing this, but recently after I hang-up from a call it shows the "Call Time XX:XX" in the center of the screen and I can't do anything until it goes away, which is generally 5-8 seconds. Hitting Home, Back, etc does nothing and tapping on the screen or the message also does nothing. Is this a setting I can disable? I can look at the recent calls to get the length of call if I need to see it, so I don't need the dramatic pause to give me this info.

How do you selectly delete numbers in your call log? All I can find is delete all. You would think someone would look at how a BB works and understand you don't always want to delete all your calls.
Is there a way to delete some of your call log and not all of it?
I use Google Voice (love it) primarily because of it's visual voicemail on my Droid. I do have a Google Voice number, and I'm trying to decide whether to set the Droid app to "make calls using Google Voice" or not.
I have no problem with giving out a different number, and my placed calls seeing the GV number in caller ID.
My question is, does this affect how the call is actually connected, from a quality standpoint? I tired a call both ways, and the sound quality seemed a little bit different. But then, I am an obsessive compulsive weirdo.
Is there any difference in call quality or routing between making a native Verizon call and a Google Voice call on Droid? (Like, does Google voice actual use 3G to connect to Google server over the internetz, then place the phone call?)
I have two questions:
1) Before the update, there was a sound that indicated when the call was ended. Anyway to get that back?
2) Has anyone figured out a way to change the end button behavior that was previously controlled by the Spare Parts app? I would like to end button to go home and then go to sleep but Spare Parts can't do it under the new software. Any ideas?
When you want to make a call - you press the phone button and the phone dial buttons pop up and on the top some names from the contact list. You can roll down to get the full list of contact names to select from...
My problem is that this dial list is too sesnsetive : it is enough to touch a name and puff it starts dialing right away. This way I started call by accident people that I did not really want to call. Can this smart dial be made less touch sensetive. Or better: an option when the phone will respond "do you want to call this person?" or something
I have an Eris and my recent call log on my phone displays my outgoing calls as Unknown even if they are saved in my Google contacts. I have the outgoing calls set to go through GV option selected on the phone and I'm not sure what's going on. The contact is displayed for a second and then reverts to Unknown. When I add the unknown number to my existing contacts it works and displays properly, but when I call the same number back from my contact list, it shows up as unknown. My incoming calls and missed calls all show up with the proper contact info, so it seems to just be a problem with my outgoing calls. Does anyone know what's going on or how to fix this?
View 1 Replies View RelatedOften during my calls I can hear a call waiting tone (double beep) but when I look at the screen there is no parallell call? Am I hearing the other persons call waiting or is it a glitch in my phone? I had this issue on every ROM, 2.1, 2.2 and live in Sweden (if it makes a difference)

View 1 Replies View RelatedHi. I am looking for some advice with regards to how I receive calls on my Xperia X10i. Basically, the story goes as follows...normally when I receive a call I have to do that swipe thing to accept the call, however, at very random times instead of the swipe I get the option of pressing 'Accept Call' or 'Decline Call' which are displayed on the lower part of the screen side-by-side. Now, to be perfectly honest I actually prefer the latter option but do not know why it is so random. To be clear, I have never updated my phone since I got it and I have searched the settings but not been able to locate anything which would explain this.
View 3 Replies View RelatedSince the time I have upgraded to KitKat- I have been facing the issue of Call History. Every Time I miss a Call and I click on the name/number- Its asks me to select a default option of whoch way to open that entry , that is, through Dialer or through History. I tried selecting history and clicked on the "always use this option" but the same thing kept happening every time. After a few tries, I chose the other option and did the same thing and it again kept appearing... It looks like there's a bug in this and it never really saves my preference.

I am trying to make a VoIP application and I wanted to know if it is possible to do the following with the Call Logs content provider -
I want to add new Call Log records for the VoIP call along with the call logs for the regular call. How can I add new records to the existing Call logs content provider?
I want to add custom fields to the Call Logs like a session ID and SIP address(name@domain) field. How can I customize the call logs database?
Dunno if this has been covered and maybe this is a stupid question. I have not had the phone long enough to have much call waiting experiences but the times I did, I noticed I had to press menu and then go thru a menu to "click over" to the other call. This is g=fine and dandy from the comfort of your couch but is not advisable if you are driving a car. Is there a one button shortcut to go to the other call without having to look at a menu?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm having problems during the "read" call of the InputStream. The call gives me a "IOException: Software Caused Abort" exception. I'm able to get the BluetoothSocket and also the able to "connect" to the device. My app. is in the client mode and sends in a "x" byte "command" to the device which is then supposed to send me a "response". The expected "response" is also of "x" bytes. This is where the error arises.. While reading the "response" i'm getting the above mentioned error.
View 5 Replies View RelatedIt seems like my Samsung Behold2 the call drop ratios is extremely high, call drops out of no where and sometimes I have seen full bars on phone but still calls get dropped. Another issue that while on the call the other parties voice will stop coming, the phone will be running and shows the call timer on as well, cannot end the call if this happens, the dialers just seems like hanged. only thing to come out from this issue is either take the battery out or somehow manage it to go in airplane mode.
View 16 Replies View RelatedIs it possible to make a call from an activity and make sure the activity doesn't keep running while the call is in session? And, once the user is done with the call (by pressing the hangup button or whatever), the call log screen wouldn't get shown and the user would be directed to a new activity within the application. I know there's ways to detect calls and call hangups through services, but, I'm not sure if it's possible to make an activity from an app pop up as soon as a call is over.
