Here's my issue;
Basically when i sync playlists from my PC to my phone, it saves the playlists on my phone as .PLA format.
Now the only player that actually reads those playlists is my stock player.
I have tried several android players, but non of them will recognize the playlists.
On my PC for syncing i have tried
-WMP
-Winamp
-MediaMonkey
-DoubleTwist
All of these create playlists in PLA format on my device when transferring them, which wouldnt be a problem if i wanted to use the stock player.
As for android apps/media players i have tried:
-Cubed
-Winamp
-Mort Player
-Media PlayerPro
-Mixzing
-Astro Player
When i create a playlist using any of the apps on my phone, every other app is capable of reading them.
However, the playlist file can not be found on my phone, or my SD card. so i have no clue what format they are saved to, or where they are saved too.
I'm basically looking for a way to transfer my playlists from my computer to my android phone, and have the other apps actually read the playlists. The phone im using is the Samsung Galaxy S.
how do i download apps, can i download them from my computer through the usb or do i have to do it through my phone/ am on payg and it would cost me loads on the internet
View 2 Replies View RelatedThe audio/video works perfectly if I watch the recording on my phone, but when I email the video to my gmail account and save it to my computer, it opens in Media Player and there's no sound. Does anyone know how to fix this? I have a Samsung Moment.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI used to be able to just plug the phone into the computer via USB and a drive letter would appear and I would be able to easily move files off the phone and to my computer.
Now when I plug the phone in Media Share pops up with numerous menus and sub menus. Best I've been able to figure out to do is copy one individual file at a time to some mystery folder somewhere on my network. Or using DLNA it opens up Windows Media Player on my computer which shows previews of the photos but no way to transfer the actual files.
So i just got this bh2. I wonder how to put games/apps i downloaded from the computer to my phone ? Is it going to be the same way as the BEHOLD ?

Reminder: not talking about google contacts or anything like that, i'm talking about contacts that are saved on my SIM card.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have an Incredible, and would really like to catch up on TV shows that I miss. I usually use hulu on my computer. I know that CBS has an app, but I don't really watch CBS much. Is there a way I can get ABC/ Fox to work on my phone? I know with 2.2 it will probably work, since it will have full flash but can I do it now somehow?

It allows you to easily download music, photos, and more either on your phone or onto your computer from your phone. It also allows you to create ring tones and send them to your phone. Its like itunes for the iphone.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have had the Hero for a while now and love it but hate 2.1 (LAG ). I'm now rooted, and am back in love with my Hero. I came from a jailbroken iPhone and I use to have an app called iPodMovie.info. It let you stream and download tv shows, and movies, even before they were released. My question is, is there an app similar to this for Android or the Hero?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI use windows media player to manage my music and make playlists. I have no problem syncing music to my device. What I want is a way to make playlists for my music from the computer instead of the tedious methods available on the handset. To clarify: by "playlist" I do not mean that I want to set up a specific group of music to sync instead of syncing all my music every time. I mean playlist in the same way the word is used in the built in Android media player. If it makes a difference my device is the Droid.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI used Mecanto on Nokia, and it's very impressive. It's like ORB, except it has a very good app (instead of using a browser). Mecanto now has an Android app in beta; I just got the email:Installation:
1. Go to Settings > Applications and then check the box called Unknown sources.
2. Use the phones browser and go to http://www.mecanto.com/ms and select "Android beta version".
3. After software is downloaded, press on the downloaded application and MeCanto will be installed.
4. Start MeCanto and enter your user name & password
You install a small server on your computer (get it from Mecanto site), then direct it to your media folders. It indexes your files (taking a long time if you have .5TB of music, like me). It then starts uploading your files to their server, where only you can access them (read their FAQ for privacy concerns). Before they are uploaded, though, you can stream directly from your computer. It's kind-of a weird system; I wish it would just stream. For me, playback stutters and skips a lot, but I'm wondering if it's just because I have the $10 internet plan (not the $25 smartphone plan, which may be faster). I do always have 3G (indicated as such anyway).
