Phone prompted me to do an update so I did, now skyfire won't even open and the default browser that came on the phone will at least open, but force closes after like a minute. Can I roll back to my previous firmware? I started to browse all these rooting and flashing forums and sticky's and it all sounds like rocket science to me.

The title says it all just updated to firmware 1.21.405.2 on o2 backed up my settings beforehand but the restore didn't work! How do I try it again please?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI am using CyanogenMod 5.0.6 on my Nexus One. Until recently everything was fine but now, none of the browsers on my device are working on either Wifi or EDGE. I tried default browser, Dolphin, Skyfire and even Firefox nightly build. All of them are not opening any pages. Strange thing is, all other internet related applications work i.e. Market, K9, News & Weather etc. It is not a DNS problem as I can ping sites in terminal and get a response. I tried clearing the cache/data. Also tried CacheCleaner. None of the things I tried seem to work.
View 1 Replies View RelatedMy Incredible just got updated to the 2.1 update1 firmware. When the update was installed all of my pictures stored on the phone were deleted. Now when I take a picture, most of the time, the phone will just show the picture I took on the screen but not allow me to to do anything (take another picture, share, delete, etc.).
The only thing I can do to get the phone responsive again is to click the home screen button and then the click camera icon (repeatedly) until the camera is responsive again. I tried switching the phone to save to the Micro SD card instead of the Phone memory but am still having the same problems. I have also tried turning GEO-Tagging on and Off but that does not effect problem.
I just ran an update using the SEUS and I have received a couple Vodafone applications and a Sony Ericsson Sync application are there meant to be any other changed that I have missed?

Build number is still on 24?
For about 3 - 4 weeks ago, I had a problem with my phone after updating the firmware, that there would be some source code running in the right side of the screen, I wrote about it in here and some one told me that I should use pc companion to reset my phone, I did it and it helped or at least I thought it helped. The day after my phone ran out off battery, and when it was charged I turned on my phone and the proble was there again, and since then, every time the phone is turned off and back on again I can start with resetting the phone too get the source code away.
So what can I do? Can I restore to the original firmware again or is that impossible? Because I'm so close of throwing the phone on the ground from 3'rd floor and go back to my iphone again. Another problem, I use the program in the phone to backup all my contacts, sms, call info and so on, but when I restore after a reset ALL my contacts is gone, and yes I have marked the contacts to be backed up.
I bought my phone 3 months ago and I had no problem with it "except the usual low in-call volume and battery life" but then I went on and I updated to R2BA026 firmware. First I did it OTA and the phone started restarting by itself and entering into constant restart loops. So I though it was a defective update and reupdated the device through SEUS to the same version but the problem is still there. The only way to get the device out of the restart loop is to take out the battery for few minutes and then put it back and start it, it works fine for a day or two and then it does the same thing and the problem appears again. I tried removing all applications and removing the memory card but the problem still appears and there is nothing I can do about.

No matter what web page I've tried, I get some form of an error message that I don't have a high enough version of adobe flash to play the video.

I just bought a new Miracast capable smart tv (LG LN5700). When attempting to connect using the new screen mirroring option, the wifi direct connection is successful, the tv recognizes that the connecion is made, but the screen goes black and eventually the connection dies. My girlfriend also has an S3 on Sprint running 4.2 and hers works just fine.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI updated my unbranded desire to FroYo, and now I really wish I hadn't. Anything that requires data not Working as previously. My email is no longer push - I have to go in and manually refresh - which takes at least 5 minutes, and in the case of my exchange email, usually results in a sync error. Twidroyd, Twitter, Peep, Facebook, all timeout whenever I want to refresh them; I may get one proper update a day, but the rest of the time, nada.
Internet is so slow now, I just give up half the time. WiFi flickers on and off, even though it's set to on all the time. Anyone got any ideas of stuff I can check, or whether I can un update - I love the aps2sd and stuff, but it's bricked the rest of my phone. It's getting to the point where I'm actually starting to dislike the phone because it just doesn't work.
When I start Barnacle all I get is

I have the HTC Hero/T-Mobile G2 Touch and I still do not have the latest firmware 2.1 update on it. I've got as far as changing the year to 2013 and it brings up the request to update the phone. I select to update it and it turns off my phone to install.
It then loads but stops half-way and it just shows a white triangle with an exclamation mark in the middle with an image of a phone underneath. The update does not continue from there. I've tried it at least 4 times and it's done the same every time.
How can I confirm that apps2sd is working properly? Every time I install an app my internal memory decreases (I'm pretty sure that means it is not working).Is there a folder located on the sd card where all of my apps should be located?
View 9 Replies View RelatedI bought LG VU II (F200L) in perfectly working condition, it almost new. After installing LG PC suite and connecting it said new firmware update is available so I proceeded which was done successfully but since then touch screen is not working properly.
Usually it responds ok but main issue is back button is not working anymore, and sometimes when I press power button to unlock screen it responds very weird and not so responsive as well as sometimes doesnt responds or opens apps that I havent even clicked.
I tried to restore, emergency restore, LG Flash tools and used correct KDZ files to flash roms successfully but nothing seems to resolve this issue.
I believe it's because I accidentally deleted the Talk apk without backing it up. How can I revert it back?
View 17 Replies View RelatedI'm not sure when this started happening or if it ever even worked, but my vibrate notifications do not work for text messages or email (i'm using K-9). I've gone through EVERY possible setting, in the messaging app, in K-9, and the standard phone settings, to ensure that Vibrate Notification is indeed on, and yet it does not work. It doesn't matter if my phone is on Vibrate Mode, Silent Mode, or Normal Mode, no vibration notifications.
I've tried restarting the phone, nothing works.
My Haptic Feedback works perfectly.

After the firmware upgrade I am experiencing the following issues:
At the beginning when I conmect to my wifi everything works fine for the first 5 min, all apps work flawlessly, then suddenly my phone only uploads date (up arrow only) but no down arrow n then my apps such as whatsapp, fb messenger, etc do not recieve any data until I goto those apps and stay in there for about a min. Then I get all my whatsapp messages sent about a min ago . But my browser seems fine..and the speed there is good.
I have flashed my x10a with flashtool and x10_2.3_aro_2.ftf firmware. But after the flashing is finished, my phone screen touch is not working. What can I do now? I am unable to install xrecovery to install another rom bcoz screen touch isn't working. So I can't install any custom ROM.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm a new comer on this forum. I got my Ally about a month ago. So far I like it overall, though it feels a little slow at times. I installed the update1 pushed out to me couple weeks ago from verizon. After that, the Skype mobile doesn't open with error message. I tried removing and reinstalling it, then it worked again. But it's screwed up again after rebooting the phone. I had to repeat this twice. Sorry if this was discussed before. But is there any solution to this problem?
View 6 Replies View Relatedthis isnt the same as all the others, i rooted my phone and was able to download apps for a few minutes, after that all my apps would sit at "starting Download" i would wait hours for it to work but nothing ever changed. i paniked and reset factory settings on my phone so i only have stock apps and SU, the catch is it wont let me delete SU so my warrantee is void. also when i try to reboot recovery it looks like it will then goes black and starts normally. is there a way to remove SU or reboot recovery another way? i would be fine if the market started working again please help.

View 3 Replies View RelatedMy fathers phone got the OTA update to version 8 ever since his vibrate functions in games ringers etc has just vanished. The phone has been reset via settings>privacy>factory data reset twice. And i still cant get the vibrate functions from haptatic keyboard or ringers to work. He needs the vibration stuff back for work. If i cant figure it out it will have to be returned as nonfunctioning so unless im totally missing something
this is all of our first android phones my 2 sisters and my mothers ota worked fine i have the v9 update from the updater but my father ota just messed up i guess
Yesterday I was having fun trying out the secret codes (like *#*#4636#*#*) and tried out the touch screen code. Then clicked on update (firmware).
Then the touch was not working. I tried taking out battery and putting it back on. Tried factory reset after backing up data with Kies. Tried rooting the simplest way. Tried to flash using Odin with a recovery and pit file. Still nothing is working.
Pls advise me the best unofficial firmware update to download. Froyo based.

My LG Ally is stuck at the "VELOCITY" boot screen and is stuck in a loop. I had Velocity 0.3 flashed yesterday and I decided to re-flash today. I have tried wiping data/files/cache/dalvik cache. I'm stuck and I don't know what to do. Also I never did a Nandroid backup (because I'm slow).
