i want to root Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 7 inch, but ODIN say's fail, and i click start again and now nothing, now nothing happens, tablet still Downloading, it's around 10-45%, what i need to do ? close odin and restart tablet ?

View 5 Replies View RelatedTrying to root the phone. I'm not a linux pro... but I can't get the su binaries in the /system/bin folder. It won't let me mount the system saying 'Over-lap error'.
AND When I run deamon, it will start, then it will say it doesn't exist. But it's in the bin folder. Not the su though. Also, I can't connect to HTC through their software to sync or unlock the bootloader.

View 1 Replies View Relatedi have rooted my galaxy note 8 with framaroot jus to use a mouse and keyboard emulator no to do anyhing technical or some ROM things and then i " regretfully" have updated the device to jelly bean 4.2.2 and now i am lost im not rooted and though i have the supersu app installed and stuck , it cannot be uninstalled.i have ried to use root manager to remove the file from inside , it tells me it has been removed however it is not also it cannot be opened it tels me " there is not SU binary installed , and superSU canot install it , this is a problem" tried to re-root the devise again , downloaded the latest framaroot . i doesnt work and tells me " failed ry anoher exploit if available" all of the other options are giving me the same thing.

I have a Pantech Flex P8010. I never thought it would be updated to jb. So I rooted it. Removed all bloated applications from it. Changed the recovery to CWM. I haven't taken any back up before the bloat removal. All I have is the cwm backup of the debloated version.
Now Pantech have released the jb ota. Is there any way to update the phone to jb with the root privilege? Is there any way to return to complete stock? Will the recovery and boot loader image available in the forums be useful?
Best way I could describe it. On ICS the dialer would allow me to type a number and come back to it later, now when I multi-task the number disappears. I am running 4.1.2 on a HTC Desire 300, and the dialer is stock to the best of my knowledge.

My question here is, is it possible to root this firmware before flashing it. The case is, my phone is now rooted and I don't want to loose root access, but I would like to flash this new firmware, cause with this one i have occasional problems (force close of apps, freezes, loosing wifi connection, etc). I've searched every where but haven't found anything. Only Mobile Odin have such options, but my phone is not supported yet.

I started down this road because I wanted to backup my phone so I could do a hard reset. So installed "Titanium Backup". It wouldn't run because my rom wasnt rooted. So i have spend 4 hours researching and each item i find leads me to another issue or program to install. Most everything seems to involve rooting. The 4.3 update has completely screwed my phone:
Have Slowness issuesHome screen repaints icons noticeably slowlyThere are now sticky notifications of two downloads that happened BACK IN MARCH. No matter how many times I click on clear, they come back almost immediatelyHUGE BATTERY DRAIN. THE BATTERY COMPLETELY DEPLETES AFTER 2 HOURS AT MOST, WHICH DIDN'T HAPPEN BEFORE THIS STUPID UPDATEBattery stats shows the drain is because of an app that I completely doubt did anything. When I uninstalled such app Android is now blaming Android system (or something like that), and the battery drain continues CANNOT ACTIVATE WiFi HOTSPOT ANY MORE. "Please wait while verifying" and then "A network error has occurred". Even with FoxFi, I get the same issueetc.

Checked that there is no newer update. Also, installed Kies 3.0 and it tells me my OS is not supported for updates via Kies either.
how to wipe out this update and go back to the stock original rom (4.1.1 i think).

Since updating emoticons do not show up in text messages when i type them or receive them in the standard format such as ": )" they stay as the code. They do not show up as an actual emoticon like Is there a way to enable emoticons to appear or am i stuck with selecting emoticons from the drop down menu each time I want one. "Android System" is using 91% battery. I've disabled location services, backup and so forth, but the problem persists. I've tried flashing various ROMs, including stock sense, stock GE and Android Revolution HD 21. The problem is there with all of them.
I gave up on Samsung, with their useless support.I would like my contacts and calendar to be the same at all times on my computer (windows 7 outlook 2010) on my phone (Note 3 with 4.3) and on my iPad (air)..I've been trying to sync outlook to the android, but no luck.So thought I will try to sync the iCloud to the Android, maybe that works.
