Samsung Behold 2 :: Flash - Odin And Root - Android System 88% Battery Status

I just got my Behold II with android 1.6 on it.
I don't understand what is root the phone , flash the phone using ODIN to save battery .
Also my phone rightnow when I check the battery information , it said " Android system 88% of battery" " Phone Standon 6% " , Is this because the new Android 1.6 making my battery drainning so fast because rightnow I am using with a little of playing around , WIFI , and then I turn off the WIFI again , the battery still didn't last for at least 24 hours . I didn't making too much calling also .

1. Open up Odin Multi Download
2. Under Select OPS, choose Behold2_partition.ops
3. Click PDA, choose the PDA File you are Trying to Flash Rather it Be BH_MAN Rom / or Stock
4. Power Off Phone
5. Make sure you have it connected via USB
6. Hold and Press Volume Down, OK, Power (the red end button)
7. Phone will say Download Mode
8. Click Start on Odin Multi Downloader.
9. Wait a couple of minutes
10. Stock Touchwiz phone working again!

With the New Update Do this For me?
adb pull /system C:BH2 ( C:BH2 = Your File Folder ) then upload the file's and Post them here?
Since I'm still waiting on the Update myself, I've had a brief chat with my Source at Samsung & he confirmed there isn't nothing life chaning in the kernel regarding problems. All fixes was addressed mainly to the OS it's self.
The Faster I can get the System Dump of the Update, the Faster I roll out updates to the system.img for everyone..

in odin i got everything running fine then i power off my phone and enter download mode and then i press start in odin and it tells me to plugin phones!! so how do i plugin in my phone if it is already connected via usb? it even shows my device is plugged in when i first enter download mode but odin keeps saying plugin phone.

After countless calls to t-mobile I have *FINALLY* received my update, which means now that I've got the updated kernel I'm ready to upgrade to BH_MAN's rom... But of course if something goes wrong I'd hate to ODIN back to a buggy system. So my question is this: can anyone instruct me on the process of creating a new ODIN file on a system with the updates? Because unless the process is way over my head I'd really love to give it a shot.

Don't extract the file(s) from the tar that you download, the file that you download is what you need. Load Into the PDA setting in ODIN Flasher!

Here is a brief much more complete guide to creating your own Odin images for distributing custom ROMs or making backups. Thanks to kam197, BH_MAN, chadmd23, SoulCreator, and all the other community members.
Requirements:
A Samsung Behold 2 to backup/edit/test ROMs on
Root via try3/asroot2, persistent su, or modified kernel
Working ADB connection
SD Card with ~300MB free
Cygwin - if you are working in Windows
Basic knowledge of a command line
Making the ROM Dump: The Behold 2 has 14 partitions in its flash memory, but only a few of these are useful to modify. You will want to focus on different partitions depending on what you want to do. After you make a ROM dump you will need to package it using the instructions in the following section before you can flash it. Backup your personal data? You may want to backup your data while trying out a different ROM. It is simple to do. Start an ADB shell session and obtain root access. All necessary files and instructions are included in the download.To use the update you will need a Windows PC, USB cable, your Behold II, and about 5 minutes.Some users are reporting that after the update the phone will temporarily be stuck in a boot loop. This seems to happen when the user has previously installed certain custom ROMs such as Take5 and Galaxy R12.The work-around requires a complete factory wipe of the phone, meaning you will lose all of your data and apps not on the SD card.

I'm having a problem with my phone, I've had 2 lines show up at the top of my screen in the past couple of days. They're both multi-coloured and definitely look glitchy. They show up even in boot screens, fastboot, recovery, etc. I thought it might have been a problem with Galax0 that I was running, so I tried to re-flash it with Odin, and Odin seems to finish, but the phone does not actually get flashed. It stays at my previous firmware, with all apps installed, but when it reboots with Odin, the screen doesn't work (except in between the two lines at the top, so I can just see the bar at the top). I pull the battery and reboot, and it works, but is very glitchy.

I have a question about the files being used to flash my Samsung Galaxy S2 via Odin.

I am trying to flash the PDA, Phone and CSC back all to normal stock. I have downloaded a firmware and I only have one file with a .dll file. The one file I have is named "I9100BOKK1_I9100TMUKK1_I9100BOKJ1_HOME.tar.md 5" I have extracted the files from here also and it contains boot.bin, cache.img, factoryfs.img, hidden.img, modem.bin, param.lfs, Sbl.bin and zImage.
How with these files and Odin do I flash all three parts. I can't see how to use these files on the above link with instructions for flashing and rooting.

I bought my Galaxy Ace S5830i last month. I hadn't installed Samsung Kies until yesterday, when I launched it it prompted a firmware upgrade. First I tried to use kies to upgrade but whenever the upgrade process started (Kies started downloading the firmware files) my device automatically got disconnected..I tried reinstalling kies, restarting my phone but nothing worked.
I then decided to use odin(v1.87) to flash the firmware on my device but it kept failing at first step itself. Here's what it said :-

The phone has been working as fine as ever. Kies never got to the step of INSTALLING the new firmware as whenever it started downloading the firmware files my phone got disconnected so no damage there.
With ODIN I entered download mode but here too it fails at the beginning, so I just switch off my phone and restart it and it works as if nothing ever happened (I've made several attempts)

Today itself i downloaded and tried to flash my S DUOS 2 with stock ROM on Odin v1.85. Though it started and was in initial stage( Flashing boot file), i mistakenly DISCONNECTED the device. Now it's not turning ON !!!!
Device : Samsung Galaxy S Duos 2 S7582
Firmware : S7582XXUAMK3 ODDAMK1
Odin - v1.85
Mistake - Disconnected the device while it was downloading the firmware.
Device Status : Not Switching ON ! , Nothing happens when power key/+ any key is pressed

I'm following step by step process to root my gt-s5310 using ODIN 3.07. Started from download mode and connect to the PC is no problem at all. ODIN finished with the GREEN PASS. When I tried to open recovery mode, only android recovery mode is open(but malfunctioning, going no where when I press the home button) that recovery mode also don't has "install zip from sd card" option.
My android version is 4.1.2 . Baseband version S5310DXAME2. Kernel version 3.0.15-1521875 se.infra@SWDA2309#1

Alright this may have been asked a few times, or maybe it could not of been asked. I just can't find the thread related to answering this question.
Okay so my question is, can I flash Galaxo 1.6.2 or GAOSP "without" ODIN flashing or updating my firmware to 1.6? and not then what consequences would occur if I don't flash firmware update before GALAXO 1.6.2 flash. My phone firmware version is I7500ZHJA1 and I believe that is the latest firmware for my region which is still Android 1.5.

I am currently trying to repair a soft bricked(stuck in boot loop) Samsung Galaxy S2 (T-Mobile) . I am trying to save the info (contacts,sms,pictures..etc). Would using Odin to flash CWM Recovery and doing a nandroid backup and then restoring the phone to factory settings. Would it somehow save everything in the internal memory and fix the phone?

First off, I want to say thanks to Kam187 & the Creators of asroot Okay, Below is the Method I used for getting Root working for my app's.even though Shell is running as Root, any Call's made to su trigger's the white List Superuser.apk, So don't think your phone is wide open. G1's & MT3G Setup's are the same regard sh.I'm not sure is the apk is counted as warez or not, if so I hope a Mod will remove the link to the Apk or let me know to Remove it Okay, File's Need to complete the Task is.Try3 Placed in C:SDK ols> found here > try3 SU for /system/bin found here > su Superuser app control for our App's found Here > Superuser.apk Next, Mount the SDCARD and place the SU file in the root of the sdcard like so ( /sdcard ). Two things, please help! When I go to setup ADB, in the cmd dialog box it reads it as "Samsung T929" but doesn't show a specific serial number. Am I okay or is that bad? Then I get to the following line trying to root: data/local/try3 /system/bin/sh Then it tells me that it can't find that file or something. Any ideas?
