Jelly Bean :: Samsung S4 I9505 / Android 4.3 - Ringtone Never Change
Oct 26, 2013I just upgraded my Samsung S4 I9505 to android 4.3. I having quite a lot of issue. My ringtone never change, always use system ringtone. Same goes to Notification. I found out my phone always hang for few seconds, the screen stuck. This all happen after i upgraded.

I changed my stock gallery to Note 2's stock gallery and than after completing the process I had a reboot and than suddenly I saw that the gallery was missing from my phone yhan I did recover my old secgallery2_galaxy with the odex file after installation when I opened gallery the gallery didn't open and said UNFORTUNATELY THE GALLERY HAS STOPPED.I tried QUICKPIC too but it didn't change the lockscreen wallpaper. I tried to change wallpaper through settings but it opened the wallpapers the phone had.

How to achieve this in jellybean? I've already tried changing stuf in /etc/vold.fstab,but this seems to have no effect (I changed /mnt/usb_storage/USB_DISK0 to /mnt/fusb_storage/USB_DISK0 to see if it affects anything,but nothing changed)

I connect 4 accounts in Contacts
a business account (google apps google mail and google+)
a personal account (google apps google mail and google+)
a gmail account
and facebook
the business account is currently ME in Contacts which means if I send an email from my phone from the personal account the image shown is not the personal image it's the business image
how can I change ME in Contacts to be my personal account?

Sep 28, 2013So I just got a new phone last weekend, and I'm quite unfamiliar with Android 4 (4.1.2 is my version), having upgraded from a 3 year old Android 2. I'm currently texting a friend and have noticed that when I receive a notification for a new text, although the text symbol appears at the top of the phone, no vibration is made (I currently have my phone on vibrate/silent). It vibrates perfectly well when other notifications are received.

The boot logo also appears during off-charging (before the animated battery).So I searched the web and found the link below(which looks promising) and tried but I get the "can't open dev/block/mmcblock0p18" error. It's NOT the boot animation, it's THE boot logo guys.

Dec 18, 2013I got an OTA Android 4.3 update last week (or two weeks ago, perhaps) for my AT&T (out of contract) Galaxy S3 (SGH-747), shortly after (~6 weeks I think) getting an update to 4.x (can't recall which number it was, but it was less than 4.3, maybe 4.2.1?)
The 4.3 update has completely screwed my phone:
Have Slowness issuesHome screen repaints icons noticeably slowlyThere are now sticky notifications of two downloads that happened BACK IN MARCH. No matter how many times I click on clear, they come back almost immediatelyHUGE BATTERY DRAIN. THE BATTERY COMPLETELY DEPLETES AFTER 2 HOURS AT MOST, WHICH DIDN'T HAPPEN BEFORE THIS STUPID UPDATEBattery stats shows the drain is because of an app that I completely doubt did anything. When I uninstalled such app Android is now blaming Android system (or something like that), and the battery drain continues CANNOT ACTIVATE WiFi HOTSPOT ANY MORE. "Please wait while verifying" and then "A network error has occurred". Even with FoxFi, I get the same issueetc.
I am no longer using AT&T but instead StraightTalk (for 10+ months). Everything was working perfectly for me before this stupid update
Checked that there is no newer update. Also, installed Kies 3.0 and it tells me my OS is not supported for updates via Kies either.
how to wipe out this update and go back to the stock original rom (4.1.1 i think).
Jelly Bean :: HTC First Can't Get SU Or Root Android 4.1.2
Nov 17, 2013Trying to root the phone. I'm not a linux pro... but I can't get the su binaries in the /system/bin folder. It won't let me mount the system saying 'Over-lap error'.
AND When I run deamon, it will start, then it will say it doesn't exist. But it's in the bin folder. Not the su though. Also, I can't connect to HTC through their software to sync or unlock the bootloader.

Dec 27, 2013Just updated my HTC one mini to 4.3. Since updating emoticons do not show up in text messages when i type them or receive them in the standard format such as ": )" they stay as the code. They do not show up as an actual emoticon like Is there a way to enable emoticons to appear or am i stuck with selecting emoticons from the drop down menu each time I want one. Also when receiving texts with emoticons in codes such as ": )" they do not show up as emoticons.
