General :: Is It Possible To Delete Apps From Google Play Store Account Using Laptop / Desktop
Dec 1, 2013Having owned 11 different Android phones/tablets since 2010, I have a gazillion apps listed in my Google Play Store account. I know it is possible to individually delete apps from my phone/tablet, but for the love of all things telephony, once you delete an app it takes you back to the frickin' top of the list. I thought there would be a simple way to do this by going to the Play Store on my laptop, but for the life of me I can't figure out how to get rid of them. I realize it is not a big deal, but being the obsessive person that I am, once I try to do something.
When I log into my Google Play Store account on my laptop and go to "My Apps", it lists all the apps that I have ever downloaded, but there doesn't appear to be a way to delete them like there is on a device!

Sep 12, 2009I need to be able to sync my Lotus notes calendar and contacts with my HTC Hero. The sync must be done directly from my desktop to the phone, so what I am looking for is a one step sync. For security reasons I can not use a two step process where I sync notes to google email or other providers. It is not necessary to sync email, only calendar and contacts. Is this possible?

General :: How To Reset / Delete Desktop Backup Password
Oct 7, 2013I had to factory reset my phone.
Now I want to make a new backup using Helum but the app keeps asking for the Desktop Backup Password. I thought that this one should be reset (i.e. deleted) after a factory reset but I can't set a new one.
Is there a way to reset this without doing another factory reset?

Nov 6, 2009Is there a way to delete messages on the Droid without deleting them on the email server? My Curve would allow me to do this. My wife and I use the same email, and she gets bombarded with mail that clutters my phone. BB made it easy to delete only on the handheld, but I don't see any such option on the Droid.

Jul 11, 2009I have created a shadow account my provider e-mail account using the e-mail application on my mobile (HTC magic).I will use this account only while I am on the road. I have configured the account on my mobile to not delete the e-mails on the mailbox of my provider because this is done when I download the e-mails later on my notebook with Outlook.I get about 200-300 emails daily. Therefore when I have scanned my emails on my mobile and saved them later on my notebook I want to delete the emails in my mobile. I have the impression I can do this only one-by one and the trash can also not be emptied.Is there a way to delete all e-mails in my inbox at once and to empty the trash?

Sep 26, 2010I just got a unlocked HTC Magic, but I don't have a data plan yet. I fully understand using a smartphone without a data plan limits its functions.
My question is:
When try I downloading some apps over wifi (i.e. games, wallpapers, etc), it says: "Network Communication: full internet access" "Your location: fine (GPS) location"
Does downloading this mean it will use data whenever I use it outside of a wifi network?
I want to be able to start customizing and downloading apps and games that only work when I'm using a wifi connection. Just until I get a data plan of course.

Feb 1, 2010I am a new HTC Magic (Vodafone) user and have downloaded a number of useful Apps from the market. Since I work away from the UK (and have roaming disabled) and I have a Wi-Fi at home, I do not have a data pack included in my contract. However, I have found that a great App I downloaded - NetCounter - is reporting cell traffic that is going to end up costing me a lot of money.
So I have a few questions.
1) How do I switch between running applications, so I can see what's running?
2) How do I prevent certain Apps from starting whenever I power on the phone?
3) How do I see what Apps are connecting to the internet(ignoring the WiFi) and creating unwanted cell traffic.
4) Is there something I can disable so that I can use the phone normally, but prevent it from connecting to the internet unless I am back home and using the WiFi connection.

Are there some "core apps" or "core programs" that can't be removed?
A brief search on this matter on related threads seems to indicate only on "rooted" phones.
HTC Magic :: Recently Used Apps Launcher Appears Only Shortly When Holding Home Button
Oct 6, 2010When clicking and holding the home button the very useful modal dialogue appears showing the list of recently used programs/applications. Unfortunately, most of the time it appears and then disappears again. It is very annoying and makes this feature useless.
I am using LauncherPro on my Android 2.1 (CyanogenMod 5.0.8 DS), but with ADW launcher it showed the same behaviour.
