Is there any remote control app that will work on hulu desktop? I have "mycontrol" which works on windows media center, however, it's not 100% compatible with hulu desktop. It hardly can navigate up and down but works fine with right and left buttons. If there's any remote control works perfectly with hulu, that would be just awesome since there are way more videos on hulu than my windows media center.

I play my music from PC >Optical cable > AV receiver.
Just wondering if theres a good Remote app that would accomplish this ?
(willing to install a 3rd party software on PC)
Prefer something phone/Tablet friendly.
I tried a search, but couldn't come up with anything. Remote is $20, and phone mypc is $10 for now.
Both look really good, but has anyone used both? Which is "the best one"?
I've been reading a lot to being able to remote control my Linux running computers at home. I have a 60gig music collection and want to be able to play it smoothly on any of the computers or my Android. Of course I want to remote control the computers since most of them are headless (=without monitors) and until now I've remote desktop-ed them from the laptop. Oh and all the computers are Ubuntu installed. It turns out there are many different media players, even allowing DAAP or UDNP setup so that the media library is shared over my LAN, even to the Internet (subsonic). The best application I've found are Spottily and Groove shark, they're a beauty to use since the music is always available - but unfortunately they don't allow for any kind of remote control. So I thought; what if I could use some of the great media players for Android but just change the audio device they're playing on. Since Lucid Lynx actually brought an updated version of Pulse audio (the default audio device) which allows you to play music onto another computer on the network!
View 4 Replies View RelatedI use a PC at work all day but quite often want to use GTalk to chat to people. Unfortunately my company blocks it so I can't use a browser to chat but obviously I can through my phone.
I used to have an HTC Desire that was rooted so that allowed me to use droidvnc to connect to my phone from my PC via vncviewer using USB(There's no wifi here). It then meant I could type on my keyboard which makes things a whole lot easier when you're in the middle of something.
Basically now I've gone to an HTC One X I'm just wondering whether there's any app or anything that would let me do the same thing but without rooting the device as I don't want to invalidate any warranties just yet.
I'm really after a bit of software to let me remote control my phone via USB for the purpose of using GTalk.
Is there an app that allows someone from a pc to connect to an android device and control it like team viewer does on pc's?
View 6 Replies View Relatedok I asked this question before but can't find the thread anylonger so here it goes again. I'm coming from a palm treo to the htc hero, and on the treo I had a program named pdareach that enabled me to have a image of my phone on my monitor, that I could control from my desktop. the main advantage was being able to text via my keyboard and not having to press the keys on the cell. Is there a software out there for the hero that is comparable? I've contacted junefabrics and they don't make pdareach for android phones. So am I the only lazy one out there? I don't mind paying for the app if it works, and preferably a program that works without rooting my phone, I'm still a novice here.
View 17 Replies View RelatedI've seen I think one million threads for apps available to turn your Android phone in to a remote control for your PC, but nothing that goes the other way. I've just come from several years of Windows Mobiling and I've always had access to several apps that will allow me to control my phone from my PC.

Can you make a route on google map on desktop, then send it to the android phone? It is alot easier to do it, rather on the map.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI know there are lots of threads about this already, but I need to RDP for work. So I have been looking for the best app to do that.I tried xtralogic's rdp, which is nice, but it looks like it only works with VPN, and when I tried to VPN in, it would give me a out of memory warning, and crash. So I tried phonemypc. also nice, but that only works if the account in use is constantly logged on to the servers, which I can't do.My account always gets logged off because other users need to get on as well.is there another app that might work better than these? does anyone else have a similar problem?
View 5 Replies View RelatedCan anyone recommend an app (paid or not) that is virtually vnc/remote desktop for a droid.I would love to be able to remotely support my fleet of EVO phones when someone calls in with a problem, I could simply 'remote' into the phone and make the necessary changes.
View 10 Replies View RelatedHas anyone got this to work with the Evo ?If so, how does it look? I downloaded AndroidVNC and installed RealVNC on my computer but it never connects. Yes I have port forwarded 5800 & 5900, typed correct PW, typed server address correct etc etc. I get 2 problems, 1st it immediately says "VNC connection failed" almost TOO fast, like it doesnt even try to connect and just says failed.2nd it gets stuck connecting but never connects.I've used remote desktop with the Hero and iPhone 3gs and they were quite laggy and choppy (obviously). I'm very interested in how the Evo would look.
View 10 Replies View RelatedAre there any good free remote desktop clients out there? I'm trying to be able to use my desktop whilst at work or anywhere when I need to do something productive.I'm really looking forward to using something like this on this awesome Incredible
View 4 Replies View RelatedI was looking for a Remoter Desktop client in the marketplace and see there are quite a few pay ones (too bad there are no free ones). None of them mention if they work with the new, more secure, RDP introduced with the latest versions of Windows. I tried one demo app, and it failed to connect to my Windows 7 computer (which uses this latest version by default). Can anyone confirm a remote desktop client that supports the latest version of RD?I found a great VNC viewer, but I need one that specifically supports the built in remote desktop protocol.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI was thinking of getting one and trying it out, but I don't know how often I would use it. What do you use it for? Can you watch Hulu on your home PC on your phone? View 5 Replies View RelatedI have a Windows 7 x64 home premium computer and an Android HTC Magic running CyanogenMod (ver 1.6).I am looking for an easy to use remote desktop application.Requirements:
- Does not have to be "fancy", i.e. I only want to control my computer from my phone with my mouse.
- Needs to be FREE
- Easy configuration. Up until now, whatever program I have tried seems to be blocked by something (most likely my Windows Firewall) and I have been unable to make it work.
- Step by step guide please, I'm a noob to this and I need help.
So here's a question for you guys. I'm new to android and I'm looking for an app or combination of apps that will allow me to do a few things on my home PC. I'd like to be able to do the following from anywhere, not just my home network:
-Access my desktop via remote desktop
-View (and possibly edit) documents/pdfs on my PC
-Stream music from my PC. I've been doing some research and it seems there are a few options for what I'm trying to accomplish, so I'm hoping you folks can point me in the right direction.
Any app / method for me to remote desktop to mk809III from a pc.
I have seen plenty of ways to remote control a pc from an android device, but nothing so far that works other way around.
