View 7 Replies View RelatedI know there are lots of threads about this already, but I need to RDP for work. So I have been looking for the best app to do that.I tried xtralogic's rdp, which is nice, but it looks like it only works with VPN, and when I tried to VPN in, it would give me a out of memory warning, and crash. So I tried phonemypc. also nice, but that only works if the account in use is constantly logged on to the servers, which I can't do.My account always gets logged off because other users need to get on as well.is there another app that might work better than these? does anyone else have a similar problem?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI was looking for a Remoter Desktop client in the marketplace and see there are quite a few pay ones (too bad there are no free ones). None of them mention if they work with the new, more secure, RDP introduced with the latest versions of Windows. I tried one demo app, and it failed to connect to my Windows 7 computer (which uses this latest version by default). Can anyone confirm a remote desktop client that supports the latest version of RD?I found a great VNC viewer, but I need one that specifically supports the built in remote desktop protocol.

View 2 Replies View RelatedSearching the forums came up with some old posts I'd like to get some feedback and am wondering what people are using these days for a Remote Desktop app. Free is preferred, but I could always shell out some cash if the free apps are garbage.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI was thinking of getting one and trying it out, but I don't know how often I would use it. What do you use it for? Can you watch Hulu on your home PC on your phone? Is it more of a work-related thing? Is it just for forgotten files?Just wondering how useful an application like this is to the normal day-to-day user.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have a Windows 7 x64 home premium computer and an Android HTC Magic running CyanogenMod (ver 1.6).I am looking for an easy to use remote desktop application.Requirements:
- Does not have to be "fancy", i.e. I only want to control my computer from my phone with my mouse.
- Needs to be FREE
- Easy configuration. Up until now, whatever program I have tried seems to be blocked by something (most likely my Windows Firewall) and I have been unable to make it work.
- Step by step guide please, I'm a noob to this and I need help.
So here's a question for you guys. I'm new to android and I'm looking for an app or combination of apps that will allow me to do a few things on my home PC. I'd like to be able to do the following from anywhere, not just my home network:
-Access my desktop via remote desktop
-View (and possibly edit) documents/pdfs on my PC
-Stream music from my PC. I've been doing some research and it seems there are a few options for what I'm trying to accomplish, so I'm hoping you folks can point me in the right direction.
i'm thinking about getting one of these. i haven't actually had a chance to try either one yet, but was wondering if ppl had opinions about which one is better, how well they work, etc.phonemypc: SoftwareForMe.com - PhoneMyPC xtralogic:Remote Desktop Client for Android
View 15 Replies View Relatedim trying to remotely access my pc. I have windows 7 ultra and have enabled remote sharing and disabled all firewalls. And turned off all antivirus/firewall programs. I have also opened port 3390. The good news is i can detect and begin to connect to my designated pc. Unfortunantly as soon as it conects it says logging off. And an error pops up saying, "connection reset".
View 2 Replies View Relatedgot my ip from "whatismyip.com", although there is a router too.have rdp configured to accept connections from me, on desktop have comp description set not on domain so don't have that filled out (or am I, sort of, being behind router?) should default gateway address be entered in there?what else is there, should be connecting, did this with my winmo phone, worked like charm.
View 7 Replies View Relatedremote desktop server for android ICS
I read on some old threads that for old android OS there was some app like webkey, that allow to control the android phone / tablet remotely via 3g
Some other app for ICS?
(i wonder if ICS has some remote desktop server built in in the OS, like windows, but i suppose it hasn't)
I tried a search, but couldn't come up with anything. Remote is $20, and phone mypc is $10 for now.
Both look really good, but has anyone used both? Which is "the best one"?
I'm looking for an actual Windows Remote Desktop app to connect directly to my job's server. I know one exists on iPad, but I haven't found the Android equivalent. I need something that supports all the options just like in the Windows Remote Desktop Connection's Advanced settings such as:
RD Gateway server settings
User Name
Server name
Domain/computer
What I am NOT looking for are apps that must have software (like a VNC server) installed on the host computer, e.g., Splashtop Remote. It must use standard Windows RDP.
Can anyone recommend an app (paid or not) that is virtually vnc/remote desktop for a droid.I would love to be able to remotely support my fleet of EVO phones when someone calls in with a problem, I could simply 'remote' into the phone and make the necessary changes.
View 10 Replies View RelatedHas anyone got this to work with the Evo ?If so, how does it look? I downloaded AndroidVNC and installed RealVNC on my computer but it never connects. Yes I have port forwarded 5800 & 5900, typed correct PW, typed server address correct etc etc. I get 2 problems, 1st it immediately says "VNC connection failed" almost TOO fast, like it doesnt even try to connect and just says failed.2nd it gets stuck connecting but never connects.I've used remote desktop with the Hero and iPhone 3gs and they were quite laggy and choppy (obviously). I'm very interested in how the Evo would look.

View 1 Replies View RelatedIs there any remote control app that will work on hulu desktop? I have "mycontrol" which works on windows media center, however, it's not 100% compatible with hulu desktop. It hardly can navigate up and down but works fine with right and left buttons. If there's any remote control works perfectly with hulu, that would be just awesome since there are way more videos on hulu than my windows media center.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have not been able to find a relevant topic so I thought I would start a new thread. I have Micromax A50 (no giggles pl) and I want to use it to view remote desktop of my Windows computer. I want to use the application on LAN (not Internet).
View 1 Replies View RelatedHas anyone tried Xtralogic or any other suggested remote desktop application on their Droids? Via the VPN, I would like to connect to my windows servers from my phone. How is Xtralogic if anyone has tried it? Also, is there a command line prompt application for the Droid, so I would have the capability of pinging windows servers, (after establishing a VPN connection of course)? The built-in VPN tool on my phone works fine.
View 10 Replies View RelatedRecently I got my Nexus S water damaged and they refused to accept warranty repair due to the water damage they found. Now it works partially, it boots, but the screen image does not show. The touch works, for example I am able to go blindly to the camera and take some photos and I know it works because it makes the shutter sound.
Due to the water damage the phone originally got into download mode only, the internal ROM was wiped out and I had to flash a new ROM and Recovery etc. with Odin. Now the phone is running stock factory image of ICS, and I need to figure out how to flash there something with debugging enabled, because the recovery doesn't work too.
The question is, is there a way to get some kind of remote desktop working over USB without doing anything on the screen? I'd like to be able to set up the phone as an AirPlay receiver at least.
I like Remote for iTunes but hate dealing with iTunes in general.
I play my music from PC >Optical cable > AV receiver.
Just wondering if theres a good Remote app that would accomplish this ?
(willing to install a 3rd party software on PC)
Prefer something phone/Tablet friendly.
