Today I was sending an email with an account that isn't gmail.The mail had a attachment of 3 mb.It all the day that it doesn't go, it stuck in outbox and nothing happens.I want to delete it, but I can't it doesn't even open when I try.

Just switching to the Eris Droid phone and like it for the most part...what I don't like is it's email client. The GMail one works nicely, however, the Mail that comes on the phone doesn't allow you to select multiple messages and delete them..like outlook or the versamail client on a Palm device.

There has been times when it shows 4 unread emails on the phone (even though everything is read) and when I log into gmail it shows the 4 unread emails even if it was ones I deleted. 1. (and most annoying)- Black screen on incoming calls. Phone just freezes on black screen and I just cant answer the phone or do anything else for that matter. Just have to remove the back cover and battery.
2. lot less free memory after the update. using taskkiller but still- even after killing all non-system processes i have about 30MBs less memory
3. google maps, footprints, people, peep, stocks, gmail and some others keep opening by themselves, though ive killed the apps with appkiller.
4. so-many-mentioned lag on making calls. also. every-now-and-then while on call it makes another call to the same person and puts active one on hold...
5. does not recocnise some contacts and just shows their numbers when on in or outgoing call.
I've done several reeboots and also some hard resets on the device but still no use.Seriously concidering switching over to rooted ROM...
i figured out how to listen for outgoing calls. however, i can't find any docs or code samples for making a Receiver that catches outgoing sms or email.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI have my email settings to retrieve every 5 minutes, sometimes when I reply to a email I get the unable to send mail then I check the account settings and it says unable to communicate with the driod outoutgoing server, I restart my phone then it will work but this is not a solution long term. Sprint has restarted my phone too.
View 1 Replies View RelatedHours later and almost out of power (started out with 75%), I turned the phone off. The email I received had 29 attachments and was 1.9 MB in size, and it loaded fairly quickly. But when I tried to forward it, I gave up after letting it grind away for a few hours. Couldn't figure out how to cancel an out going email, so I turned the phone off, and back on again. That stopped it from forwarding and placed it in the out box. I guess upload speeds with 3G really do suck. I can't wait for 4G. Turning the phone on and off did not stop it from trying to forward. Need help trying to figure out how to stop an outgoing email.

recommend an email client that requires you to put in your email account password each time you connect?I want to use it specifically for my banking and nothing else/no other email accounts.I don't really want the app to save my password, because I don't routinely password-protect my phone (too much hassle for too little benefit), and I want to know that my bank details/emails are safe if I ever lost my phone.

I have configured the account on my mobile to not delete the e-mails on the mailbox of my provider because this is done when I download the e-mails later on my notebook with Outlook.I get about 200-300 emails daily. Therefore when I have scanned my emails on my mobile and saved them later on my notebook I want to delete the emails in my mobile. My Gmail account works great, and I have my aol and yahoo acounts set up no problem (well the yahoo was a little problem but got it to work so thats all that matters). I have 2 other email accounts that no matter what I do I can not get them to work. One is my works email which is handled by a company called network solutions. I can get the incoming server setup fine but I can not get the outgoing to work. The other is my school email which is some sort of msn email account variation (username@email.itt-tech.edu which i log into through msn.com). I cant get anything to work for this accuont.

But after a write an email and click "send" it doesn't go anywhere. the word "sending" appears next to the email, but it's still there after two days. No error message. This happens in both the Gmail and Email apps (I'm a Gmail user).
The outgoing mail settings look fine in the email app. I can't find them in Gmail, but they are pretty simple, and it seems unlikely that Google would mess them up.
I'm having troubles with Gmail POP server on my HTC Magic.I can send and receive emails from the Magic, but it won't download the emails that are already in the Gmail inbox.I have set up the Gmail account to enable POP for all mail, not just new messages.What am I missing?
