I am trying to edit a contact photo from the address book, when I select a photo from my album I always get the message "unable to save photo edits", and the app just hangs until i close it.
The contact photos i have are already linked to my contacts on my GMail account, and sync across, but want to edit with higher quality images.

I've noticed that if I try to edit a photo using the "Photo" app within Google+ I receive an error, "unable to save photo edits" (see screenshot) .

And then it seems that app loops, if i push back and choose other photo, i see previous one and same error. If i uninstall Google+ Updates it works fine, but after update it brakes again

I discovered it several days after the upgrade to 4.3. When I tried to update a contact or add an entirely new one I was recieving an error that stated " Unfortunately Contacts has stopped working". I then tried to install a new contact via Google on my pc. Saved there no problem but would not sync the contact to the cell. I was able to search this and found the fix on the internet. I have Enhanced Mobile Care thru AT&T and they were unable to assist me in this issue but are aware of it after the software upgrade to 4.3.
View 1 Replies View RelatedCurrently theming and I wanted to change the colors of certain title bars, but cannot find the XML files associated with the color codes. I have looked in the droid developer website and XDA and haven't found the needed info. I also attached images so persons who may know can answer; some stuff I just wanted confirmed. I would like to change some settings title bar colors and some texts. The arrows point out what I need to change, and the fonts of what I want to change are underlined. This is for the droid charge, just so people know.
I have seen people put images in the title bar in settings so how to do this or has a link to anything about what i mentioned.
Now it says "Please insert an SD card" when ever I try to take pictures or even look at old pictures. My SD card is not full, and works fine when I plug it in to my computer. I have the same problem when I use other peoples SD cards, and theirs work fine in their phones.I can't even take pictures and save them to my phone's memory...

On emulator it saves file on sdcard/FMSPHOTO.jpg. On a device(HTC Dream) it saves file in /sdcard/DCIM/100MEDIA/IMAG00..jpg.
The name is different, location too. I find that it can be HTC problem with camera. i have not different device to try it.
In the past couple weeks my nexus has stopped saving contacts that I add. This is regardless of how I add the contact, and I am sure that I have my Google account selected as the one to save to.
what the impact of 'resetting' the phone is. Will I need to reinstall all my apps and widgets?
I switched from the Hero to the Epic and have a question. With the Hero, if someone sent me an MMS pic, all I had to do was long click to save it. A save option appeared. The Epic doesn't seem to allow me to save any MMS pics sent to me. Am I missing something?

In my android application,I want to save some photos uploaded from a server on my database and then reuse them later. I think I should save them in a binary format and save their links into the database. Is it the better solution? Can you give some code or an example? now I only uploaded the image and display it directly using an ImageView but I want to make it available in my application when the user is offline.

And I see all the names now of my list, but the numbers aren't saved.. just their name, sometimes their email address..I'm currently on an old T-Mobile G2 but getting N4 soon..

Would using Odin to flash CWM Recovery and doing a nandroid backup and then restoring the phone to factory settings. Would it somehow save everything in the internal memory and fix the phone?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI am using a Samsung Galaxy S, with a program called DejaOffice. It syncs with a PC remotely just fine. Then it syncs with the native Android database. Recently it has started "joining" two similar contacts (Mother and Daughter, same home address, different cells numbers, different first names). The Android does this by itself. A contact disappears from the Android contacts database, and I go check one of the two contacts and find that the other has been joined to it. When I edit the remaining contact there are two Phone tabs, each with the correct information in it. I understand that if I then push the menu on the phone, there should be an option to Unjoin. But nothing happens when I press that menu button. If I simply select the contact (edit is then one of the menu choices), there is a Join menu selection (which works), but not an unjoin option.

On my old phone I could save/lock a message and it would not delete unless I unlocked it.
I'm using two different devices (iPhone and HTC) and I was able to sync contacts photos from the two devices without problem using Outlook...after I replaced Touch Pro, installed HTC Sync 2.0.18 and did my first sync... I noticed something weird...HTC Hero only synced contacts photos that were set by the HTC Touch Pro originally! and didn't sync any contact photo was set by the iPhone! sure thing the photos are working with Outlook without problem and I was able to sync them to the Touch Pro without a problem...

In call history, I clicked the little file picture and added their name, saved it as a google contact, and saved it. If I go to People, the name doesnt appear. So I went to the People app, entered their info, made it a google contact, saved. Still didnt work. Even manually synced my google account. So then I changed the "view" to show every option and slowly ticked off each box til I realized that only if "show auto gmail contacts" is ON does my new contact appear. It was also "linked" to 3 other contacts (the same one that I kept adding over and over wondering why it wasnt appearing). So, of course I do NOT want everyone I've ever e-mailed in my contact list, so the question is, how can I add/save any contacts and make them appear in People?
