so I checked google and they're not there. Its been about an hour so i don't think they're going to show up by waiting. My question is if I restore will they be there so I can get them this time. Then flash the new rom again. Thanks

Since I was rooted I was a little scared to do OTA update. I had heard that it was possible to brick my phone if I accepted it. So I did the simple unroot method and upon reboot I expected to be able to update to Froyo...
Not the case...I have yet to get the notification again after about 1.5 hrs. I was so happy too this morning when I saw it. Worst part?? I forgot to backup my contacts...
I flashed capt jagers 1.6.1 rom and now all my contacts are gone.i did a nand and a titanium back up is there any way to get my contacts back?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI unfortunately didn't write down my PIN and apparently have forgotten it on my Nexus 7. I did not get the "Forgot PIN?" prompt, or did not notice it the at the 5th or 10th attempt point. It just says to wait 30 seconds.
Is there any way in my Google account to reset the PIN or remove it? It seems if Google lets you do it from the device through your Google account, you should be able to do it from your Google account.
HTC Droid Incredible running Froyo 2.2 (Custom ROM, forgot the exact name but nothing to spectacular)
I forgot my numeric password to my phone. I do not get the option to put in my gmail user id and password, and i dont know how i would reset my password! (have tried over 100 times and I do not get the option to use gmail user id and password.
However, I have full root access, as well as ADB (running unrevoked forever)
Can someone help me out and reset my password?
The verizon lady set up a gmail for me when I first got my phone. I guess I used that email to buy my apps and stuff because using my current gmail it wants me to buy the apps again. It's been a while so I forgot the email she set up and I don't know the recovery email I gave her (if I even gave her one) Is there any way I can find out what email I used to buy the app?

Everything works very well. I haven't noticed any hangups at all, with the exception of 1. my google latitude contacts don't sync. they appear on my desktop but dont appear on my phone with latitude installed.
I just got my hands on the ever so lovely HTC incredible and flashed it to cricket. However I'm having a few issues with getting my gps, mms, apps and getting my data connection to stop going on and off. I followed the walkthroughs for both the HTC Eris/hero and the Motorola Droid, course respecting the aspects of Motorola that won't work on an HTC. I've gotten the web running with the issue of it periodically goin in and out. As for mms, gps and apps....sadly they're a no go. If anyone has any ideas or can help it would be greatly appreciated.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI have to return my phone to Asurion. I had it rooted, s-off, with the stock recovery flashed back so could receive the OTA upgrade.
Today I put back clockworkmod recovery and applied s-on. I downloaded and tried to flash the stock rom according to the 10 minute video ( [VIDEO] HowTo UnRoot Incredible by downgrading ) put the recovery wouldn't accept it, I guessed cause I was s-on. I then applied s-off again and flashed the stock rom. The stock rom also put back the stock recovery but I was still s-off. I had to reflash CWM to apply s-on.
Now I am almost there except I have the CWM recovery. Not good I downloaded a couple stock recovery files but they will not flash while I am s-on.
I was advised and given a link to download a 2.1 RUU file that is an .exe. I was told to install HTC sync and run it. Either it won't run or I am not doing the right thing with it. I tried it on 2 computers- opened HTC sync, plugged in phone, chose HTC sync, got connection, tried to run the .exe. All I got was a brief dos window. I'm probably doing something wrong here. Can someone tell me how to run this? Or, can I extract the stock recovery from this and flash it? I extracted the files and the recover is in there. I was told it was all signed and legit original stock. Can anyone tell me how to do it if it is possible?
I just flashed to skyraider 2.5.2 and I am now getting a "SD card is mounted as read only" error. When I click on it in the notification bar it reloads the card and usually works after that but occasionally it will take several tries. This happens every time I reboot my phone.

So far the phone works I have Market 2.2 etc, but I tested Hulu and found out that my "handset" doesn't work with this format. I'm not sure how to check for Flash 10.1 but some video worked on the Adobe flash player site.

I then downloaded the 2.2 OTA and now phone is stuck on the M Logo. From my understanding I can't flash so now what to do? BTW I'm using the Terminal Emulator for rooting not ADB.

Sure I usually use the same basic email address that are about the same if not exactly the same but.. I lost my original phone never sent an email and I cant remember what it was now to put it in my new replacement phone so I can get all my contacts back. I never put in an alternate email so I cant send it that way and I tired everything I can think of. I also called verizon to see if they might have it on file and they said no. Anyway that I can get this withouth knowing the username, having a 2nd email, trying password retrieve and putting in all my usual emails?

Needless to say it was soon forgotten. I've tried the gmail reset but it says the details are incorrect even though I can sign in with them on my PC. My guess is that it can't connect to gmail for authentication due to the firewall I'm using.

Recovery is working perfectly though. The screen just shows that nAa "freedom within" freezes there.
Already tried recovery mode it won't go into it. Is there a way to turn on USB storage without actually turning it on the normal way? My device is a mytouch by lg [LGE739} and I'm trying to get cm9.

I think Clockworkmod got deleted when I flashed the operating system. So I can't install it without gapps and I need my apps!

The trouble being he has no idea what his Google account details are. He knows neither his email address or his password. He's never sent an email from his Gmail and never set up an emergency email account for recovery purposes.
