HTC EVO 4G :: Pattern Lock - Forgot Gmail Account
Sep 24, 2010I have the new EVO. Unfortunately one of my friends entered my pattern wrong too many times so it locked and is now asking for my gmail account. Problem is I forgot my gmail account...I know I can take it and get it reflashed and lose all data but I'm really not into that. tricks to get my email or just bypass the lock?

Sep 8, 2013I recently installed cyanogenmod with CWM recovery (on a Nexus 7) and decided to try one of the largest grids for the lock screen security. Needless to say it was soon forgotten. I've tried the gmail reset but it says the details are incorrect even though I can sign in with them on my PC. My guess is that it can't connect to gmail for authentication due to the firewall I'm using.

I could not remember it and after several tries I decided to hit the "forgot password." It asked for my gmail account, and I do not remember creating one, after many tries, I gave up. Jun 12, 2010We recently purchased the Moment for my daughter, she has had the phone for 2 days. It seems she does not remember the lock pattern and we have not signed up yet for a gmail account. We have tried holding the left and center button then holding the right after a battery pull but when the progress bar comes up(grey) it goes a little over halfway then stops, it never finishes. I have done a search and came up with nothing else. She has 2.1 if that helps.

Jun 1, 2013I unfortunately didn't write down my PIN and apparently have forgotten it on my Nexus 7. I did not get the "Forgot PIN?" prompt, or did not notice it the at the 5th or 10th attempt point. It just says to wait 30 seconds.
Is there any way in my Google account to reset the PIN or remove it? It seems if Google lets you do it from the device through your Google account, you should be able to do it from your Google account.

Dec 10, 2011How many if you use the pattern lock? How I use my device. I live alone so no one else is going to pick it up at home. I don't let other people borrow it, and don't leave it out at work. I also do not have any of my email except correspondence, and no financial information or online shopping.
I now have lock screen shortcuts so I get tired of having to enter my pin each time to use the shortcuts.

Mar 21, 2010Yesterday I swiped my unlock pattern wrong to many times and now I have a screen saying that I should type in my google account username and password to unlock it.
I'v done this 100 times now with the correct username and password but it does not open my Hero. It is like it dosen't tjeck it online....
So now I have a locked Hero that can't do anything, How can I unlock it?

May 5, 2010I am not happy with the lack of locking options coming from a blackberry. This is problem I face: I am waiting for a huge page to load, or downloading something from the market and I am not interacting with the phone. I have the screen set to turn off in 30 seconds to conserve battery. Every time the screen turns off I have to enter the unlock pattern!
Here is what I would like to do:
Only lock the phone and require the unlock pattern if the phone is manually put to sleep with the power button, or if I haven't touched the phone in XX minutes. It would be great if the screen could turn off, but NOT require the lock pattern until its been off for XX minutes. How to do this for free or a cheap app? I am on an HTC Incredible.
