I already had a custom kernel to jumped to the stage where we have to flash the kernel and forgot to turn the USB debugging on. My backups not getting restored, its all jumbled.
Recovery is working perfectly though. The screen just shows that nAa "freedom within" freezes there.

I unfortunately didn't write down my PIN and apparently have forgotten it on my Nexus 7. I did not get the "Forgot PIN?" prompt, or did not notice it the at the 5th or 10th attempt point. It just says to wait 30 seconds.
Is there any way in my Google account to reset the PIN or remove it? It seems if Google lets you do it from the device through your Google account, you should be able to do it from your Google account.

View 1 Replies View RelatedProblem: When pressing the power button to turn phone on, there is no samsung boot logo. the only thing that shows up is a black screen, [the backlight] it will stay that way until the battery dies.
i know it's not a problem with the display because i can get to the recovery screen by pressing the three buttons. i tried numerous wipes and factory resets, even tried to reboot from there. but it still wont boot up, it only ends up with that black screen. Also the green battery shows which further indicates that it's not a display problem.

That's basically all i know about this phone, i know it's a clone because on the hardware differences under the hood compared to the real S4. [it's probably a legend or a superking since it's from korea i think] im not sure which operating system it runs, from the looks of it i dont think it has one.
Some things i've tried: i downloaded android SDK, MTK droid tools, SP FLash tools, for some reason, i keep getting error 8200 in sp flash tools and mtk droid tools doesn't detect my phone. I tried flash updating firmware with adb sideload, it always ends up with an error ''aborted''. i can't enable usb debugging since the phone wont turn on.
Sorry if I'm posting this in the wrong area, but can anyone tell me how to turn off USB debugging please? I'm using VillainROM 5.4.0.

I'm stuck in a reboot loop and can't get my galaxy nexus detected by my computer (when connected via USB). I feel like if I could get it to turn USB debugging on, I can then sideload and try to recover from this.
I have a problem on my xperia mini pro. when i lock my phone, and i want to turn it on back, it is turn off and suddenly the S.E logo appears. seems like rebooting back.
sometimes when i make the screen timeout for 30minutes, it will also turn off by itself and restart back by itself. sometimes it goes off and no reboot back. i have search on XDA and found that few problems like mine.
i try few solution like take out the battery, uninstall apps which maybe make my phone turn off.
i also reflash my phone to 2.3.3 and also reflash back to 2.3.4. it just goes the same. my warranty have void as i have unlock my bootloader.
i just dont root my phone yet as i think rooting my phone doesnt work for this problem.
i really miss my phone like the old days to tweeting and facebooking without any turn off and reboot by its own.
I was having that "My phone does not turns on" problem, then I decided to repair the software. Using the PC Companion I've done all the requested steps. The problem is: when I try to restore the backup I've made I get the following error: "Could not restore files".
Even when I choose only to restore contacts, the "Applications" is also included in the restore list. Then the Contact percentage goes to 100%, while restoring, and the error message appears. I even have the backup .sbf file.
I'm so angry it's hard for me to even type. I upgraded my X10 mini pro to Android 2.1 today and I followed the instructions and the YouTube video EXACTLY step by step.I made a back-up before the update, with the updated Back-up & restore app.Now the Android update is done and i've tried and tried but I can't get my contacts back. I'm posting this here because I feel my question will directly relate to custom ROMS:
Every Rom I load (Skyraider Vanilla,ShadowRom, The NewGuy Etc.) starts restoring my phone. Usually as soon as it connects with google, it has an old wallpaper up and starting to pull apps. I know how to disable it (menu -> privacy), but my question two-fold:
1. Do all roms have this feature built in?
A. If so, is it hard to remove that feature.
2. Assuming that above A. is difficult, how does one find the backup in google and clear it out so there is nothing to restore?
I know I can't be the only one this bugs, and I'm fairly certain I am overlooking some very simple step in this whole process.
I want to install some applications from the Android market, but every time my X10 mini says the download/installation failed. I tought this was related to a glitch in the software so I wanted to restore the settings by means of the PC Companion, however this also crashes and only returns the sony ericson support email ...

Needless to say it was soon forgotten. I've tried the gmail reset but it says the details are incorrect even though I can sign in with them on my PC. My guess is that it can't connect to gmail for authentication due to the firewall I'm using.

I think Clockworkmod got deleted when I flashed the operating system. So I can't install it without gapps and I need my apps!

The trouble being he has no idea what his Google account details are. He knows neither his email address or his password. He's never sent an email from his Gmail and never set up an emergency email account for recovery purposes. I've scoured the Internet for a solution but if all you have is your phone number, there doesn't seem to be any way to reinstate your account. His phone isn't rooted as he's not that kind of user.
