The verizon lady set up a gmail for me when I first got my phone. I guess I used that email to buy my apps and stuff because using my current gmail it wants me to buy the apps again. It's been a while so I forgot the email she set up and I don't know the recovery email I gave her (if I even gave her one) Is there any way I can find out what email I used to buy the app?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI am using the HTC mail app, to get emails from a Gmail account, which gets messages from a POP3 account. In Gmail online, I can send all messages as being sent from the Pop3 account. I cannot figure out how to do this with the HTC mail account, which makes it pretty useless. Anyone else using HTC mail and receiving and sending from different accounts? I've tried changing the outgoing server stuff, but I keep getting failed message sent errors.

I have recently wasted all of my time on my tablet. I have stop using my tablet since new years eve due to my forgotten google account password. I have to hard resetting it but my Tablet does not have volume buttons on the outside only on the touch screen.
View 11 Replies View RelatedI unfortunately didn't write down my PIN and apparently have forgotten it on my Nexus 7. I did not get the "Forgot PIN?" prompt, or did not notice it the at the 5th or 10th attempt point. It just says to wait 30 seconds.
Is there any way in my Google account to reset the PIN or remove it? It seems if Google lets you do it from the device through your Google account, you should be able to do it from your Google account.
I'm a newbie to this forum, and hope someone can help. Have had the Captivate for almost a month now and am plagued by an annoying problem. I have set up email accounts connecting to a google-hosted email account via IMAP. I am finding that when replying to a received email, my reply goes out with redundant repetitions of the email address on the "to" line. Example: Email from soandso@gmail.com arrives. I click "reply" on the phone and the reply goes out to soandso@gmail.com; soandso@gmail.com; soandso@gmail.com; soandso@gmail.com etc etc *10 times*, instead of just once. It also copies me about 10 times! Is anybody else seeing this? I use this for work emails, so it looks very unprofessional like I am trying to spam my clients! I have another couple of days before my 30-day return period is up, so hopefully someone else know how to fix this. Is there some setting I am overlooking?

I have no trouble revieving email through the email setup not Gmail but there is no provision for an address book or contacts list for sending emails. I Googled around and found K-9 Email and went to Google Apps to download it and upon tapping the download button a message came up stating "no devices found". The Nexus7 is running Jellybeen 4.2.1.

I forgot my numeric password to my phone. I do not get the option to put in my gmail user id and password, and i dont know how i would reset my password! (have tried over 100 times and I do not get the option to use gmail user id and password.
However, I have full root access, as well as ADB (running unrevoked forever)
Can someone help me out and reset my password?
Since I was rooted I was a little scared to do OTA update. I had heard that it was possible to brick my phone if I accepted it. So I did the simple unroot method and upon reboot I expected to be able to update to Froyo...
Not the case...I have yet to get the notification again after about 1.5 hrs. I was so happy too this morning when I saw it. Worst part?? I forgot to backup my contacts...
I obviously have my main gmail account running. But my school also uses gmail for our school email's but our address is xxxx@mail.usf.edu. How do I go about adding that as my second email account on the phone? I think I was on the right track, but I don't know what type of server it is, which I think is the main thing I'm asking here. I did a factory reset because the option to clear data option under Settings - Applications - Manage Applications - Google Apps - Clear Data was not there (I have Sense UI 2.1, don't know if that was the culprit). My question is, is there a way to reinstall my paid apps, without buying them again, since my phone now associates my new gmail address with the market and Google Checkout? Or is there a way for the market to use my old gmail address so i can reinstall these paid apps without paying for them again, and then use the new address? I backed up all my apps with Astro, but for some reason bTunes didn't get back up.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to use "note to self" and it records fine and I hit send, It then pops up email clients. if i choose, yahoo it doesn't autofill anything, if i choose the built in mail app it auto fills the subject and the message but it does not have my email address as a default, so I have to type it in every time. Since it is note to self, shouldn't it keep my email address in there. I haven't found a way to make it default. Any suggestions?

View 2 Replies View RelatedDoes anyone know if the X can "remember" a sent email address? My iPhone/BB both did this, but I cant tell if there is an option for this here.
For example, if I email an address thats not in my contacts, the next time I try to email that address I have to type out the entire address again, whereas with my iPhone or BB it would remember my sent addresses and I could just select them, even if they werent in my contacts.
Also I see no option to never delete from server. If I download email from my POP account onto my phone, will I still be able to get that on my PC when I get to my office? If I delete it as well?
I want to change the email address the phone is set up to. But I have a niggling suspicion doing so requires a factory reset. First things first, please tell me if that's wrong and I'll be happy. If however I'm right, What's the best way to go about saving everything? If I download a backup program, will it store all my settings, apps etc or just data on the SD card? And will changing the email address bugger something up and stop me from restoring the backup? I wouldn't put it past google.

I'd like to be able to change the from / reply to address on an account in the the Mail application (as opposed to the Gmail one) but can't find an option to. I have mail from my primary account forwarding to my gmail account which syncs with the Desire and I want to be able to reply using my primary address rather than the gmail one.
