So I had mixzing for like a few hours and it made playlists. I want to delete these playlists but everytime I try to, no matter how many I try to delete, it ALWAYS FORCE CLOSES!
The message reads: the application music (process com.htc.music) has stopped unexpectedly. please try again.

Some of my closed apps automatically start when internet connection is opened.How do they sence the connection is opened?Is there an app that can stop them from opening?
My app killer will kill them when I manually hit the kill bottom or when the phone is locked.But there is no settings that stop them from starting and running after I start my data or WiFi connection.
I am using TuneWiki and I am having a hell of a time with playlists. Not making them, that is a snap using Winamp, but getting rid of them when they are not wanted. Sometimes playlists seem to self generate from file transfers (am pretty sure I could find those root files on SD card), but some are just not used anymore and are empty. If I could consistantly delete them in TuneWiki it would be no sweat either, but no all will give that option when I hold my finger on them. So where are they stored on the SD card, and if not there how can I get rid of them?

So I deleted all the files off media card and I am now using Salling, which is way better. But now when I go to Music I have Double Playlist one with music and one empty. I have gone through the sd card and don't see anything in there or any reference to Double Twist, any ideas how to delete these empty playlists?

Also when I try to remove applications using the settings > application manager, none of them have delete or remove buttons...
There is an annoying playlist on my Nexus 5 on Play Music app. It is under Auto Playlists and is called "Last added". I can't seem to delete it, which is annoying. I don't know if these auto playlists will go away after some time by themselves, but if not, do any of you know how to delete the playlist?
Btw, I used iSyncr to transfer my music from Mac to phone, and I didn't have that playlist before.
While transferring songs onto the SD card, there were M3U playlist files in those folders. After deleting them off the card, they still appear in Mediascape. Doing a long press on the playlist only brings up the slide with the album art (like on timescape), and no option to delete.
Is there anyway to delete these?
I connect to my works Exchange server using EAS (I think, it was the default) and it syncs with my mail automagically as stuff comes in. I'd really like to find a way to automatically delete stuff on the Hero as I delete stuff on the exchange server. Is there a way to do this without involving another program?

I frequently update to the latest nightlies when I am on a specific rom. However every time I do so the rom will reinstall system apps that I delete because they are useless. To delete system apps I have to use an app which is annoying.
Is there anyway to blacklist apps to automatically uninstall them when I update my nightlies?
I've searched the web, and the androidforums, and haven't found anything about this, so I figured I'd give it a shot here. About 2 or 3 weeks ago the Music app just stopped reading playlists right. Music can see all the play lists, it just can't find any of the songs. All the files are still there, and oddly, double twist can still read the play lists fine, and get to music. Has anyone run into this, or had any ideas on what could be causing it?

View 2 Replies View RelatedThere has got to be some way to do this. I playlists in itunes that I want to sync with my incredible. I'm using a mac. At first I was just dragging and dropping the files, which works fine, except there are no playlists. I tried salling mediasync, it copied the songs, but not any playlists. I also get about half of the songs that won't play and message "unable to play files of this type" on the phone. So, is there a streamlined way to copy playlists from itunes to the incredible without downloading 2-3 different applications?

But if i turn off my phone or if i take out my sd card, the ringtones disappear. They are not even avail to assign to a ringtone in the sounds and notifications settings. Is there a trick to get my phone to keep my custom ring tones?

View 7 Replies View RelatedI searched but couldn't find this problem. I use the Google Sync software on my PC to sync Outlook 2003 to my Google Account. I use the 2 way sync option.
When I create an appt. on my Inc. it shows up in my Gmail calendar fine but when the gmail calendar syncs to outlook that appt does not show up in the outlook calendar but goes directly to my "deleted items" folder and shows an appt date of 12/31/1997 no matter what date it is scheduled for.
Appts made from outlook synced to Google work fine and vise versa. Only appts made on my phone have this issue. I hope this makes sense and any help would be appreciated since I love the fact I never have to connect my phone to my PC.
First of all I am very pleased with the Droid (including the keyboard) and Android OS 2.0. Have been playing with it since december 13th and I especially love the texting app. In my home, Berkeley CA, it worked great, but now in Puerto Rico there seem to be some glitches. I turned off the auto delete messages because I prefer that. Not sure if its because I disabled the auto delete or because I am in Puerto Rico, but randomly when I go to my texting app, all my threads will be gone. This has happened to me twice now within a week.

Why is it doing this and is there something in settings that will prevent it from deleting emails from my phone? I've spent what seems like hours going through the email settings menus and cant' find anything. Is there something in the general settings menu? Please help. I'm running the stock HTC mail program.

I use Advanced Task Killer quite a bit and one thing I immediately noticed is that a lot of programs keep launching themselves in the background. I never saw this happen with 2.1 other than sometimes when I would wake up in the morning, Gesture Search or CityID might be running. Now, I can go into Advanced Task Killer and kill everything and within 5 minutes I can go back in there and have between 10 and 15 apps running. They always seem to be mostly the same ones. Here are the ones that are currently running:
- Gesture Search
- Engadget (This one starts up within about 10 seconds after I kill it)*
- TiKL - Touch to Talk (Beta)*
- Layar*
- Amazon MP3 (this must be something that came with 2.2)
- Svox Classic
- Voice Dialer
- Internet (I use Dolphin)
- AppBrain App Market*
- The Weather Channel*
- Startup Cleaner 2.0*
- EasyTether*
- Handcent SMS*
I uninstalled all the apps on that list with an (*) next to them and then reinstalled them to see if that helped at all. It helped for some of them but I have the following apps still startup after I reboot my phone and let everything finish loading. The ones with an (*) below are ones that the Startup Cleaner 2.0 kills on startup.

Handcent loads back up in about 15 seconds after it is killed. TiKL loads back up in about 30 seconds. If I wait about 5 minutes after killing everything that is running, I get the following apps running:

- Startup Cleaner 2.0
- Handcent SMS
- TiKL
These all load without me doing anything on my phone. None of this happened with 2.1. This is driving me nuts.
I know that some people in here are against Task Killers but I have all necessary programs on my Ignore list. I also disagree with some peoples thoughts that even though a task killer shows low memory, it doesn't mean you are low on memory. Anytime my phone starts running slow, I can guarantee that Advanced Task Killer will show less than 100MB of available memory. That's how it's been every time my phone has run slow.
is anyone else experiencing a lack of automatic syncing for gmail? I seem to only be getting my new emails delivered to my phone if i do a manual sync. Is there a setting that i can check somewhere that may have gotten switched off somewhere?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI always have my phone plugged in over night, and one night I noticed that the screen came on for no reason, stayed on for a few seconds, and then went off. It did it a few times off and on. I thought it was a little weird, but didn't think too much about it, until just now.
I'm sitting next to my phone, plugged in, and the screen comes on again for no reason. It had been plugged in for awhile then, and when the screen lit up, I happened to glance at the battery status bar, and noticed that it did not show that it was plugged in. Now, maybe 30 min later, the battery bar shows that it is plugged in and full.
Could my Inc be self-bump charging? My phone is so new that it came with Froyo on it already (unless the Verizon guy downloaded it when he set the phone up)
Has anyone else noticed this at all? I've always had good battery life... I can usually make it through the whole day without hitting orange (12 hours+), with plenty of texting, some youtube videos, facebook, Daily(comic)Strip, and checking email and weather, plus Angry Birds. And I've never really bump charged.
To get the most out of your Incredible's battery, you have to bump charge. To bump charge (I think) you charge your battery until the light turns green, then turn your phone off, and wait until the light turns green again. I think this is a hassle, especially when I want my phone ready to go when I wake up (and I don't have time to bump charge).I was thinking that an app could be made to automatically bump charge the phone. All the app would do is turn the phone off once the battery initially charges to 100%, so the phone would keep charging once off, and get a real 100% charge.I am not sure if an app like this could be made, but it would be useful! The only problem I see is: after bump charging does your phone loose charge for every second it is plugged in, or does it stay at the true 100% until it is unplugged? If it loses charge while plugged in after bump charging, then this wouldn't work.

I do not know if it is just me or if this is a known issue. Sometimes (about 25% of the time) when I turn on my phone one of the apps on my home screen will automatically start. It is usually my calender app or Documents to Go, but it is always an app on my home screen. Anyone else have this issue or know of a fix for it?
