HTC Incredible :: Home Screen Is Scrolling Automatically

I'm afraid to bring this up as I suspect I might be headed for a replacement phone,For the last week or so, I've noticed my phone seems to be scrolling to the left automatically.The home screen will scroll as well as if I'm in the market for example and trying to enter a search term, the blinking cursor will move to the left. It's more of an annoyance than anything else.The phone still works great, but I'm worried that it might turn into something bigger.

I had an app, can't remember which it was, that would automatically go to my home screen after I hung up the phone. Any ideas?

For example when I was using the camera and as soon as a snap a pic it goes back to the home screen, not all the time, but annoying nonetheless. It just did that when I was using google maps also.

This is more of an annoyance, but whenever I reply to a message off the home screen widget, it automatically defaults to the home number for that contact, instead of replying to the same (cell) number that it was sent from. If I go into the messaging app, it works as it should (replies to the same number).

I am trying to teach myself the basics of Android dev. At the moment I am experimenting with home screen widgets. I would like to create a simple widget that lists all my bookmarks. Somewhere in my googling I read that ListView is not usable in a widget. What's the best way to display a scrolling list in a widget?

Rooted my replacement Vibrant but didn't wanna remove the bloatware right away in case future froyo required it. So, I tried just freezing the apps with Titanium. This makes sure they never start up when you turn your phone on and they are removed from the app drawer. You just unfreeze them whenever you want. Anyway, it makes the app drawer/homescreen scrolling a lot smoother.

I've been experiencing a problem where the phone vibrates in short pulses and returns to the home screen. The home button also vibrates at the same time. It hasn't happened much maybe 7 times or so since Sunday. Curious what it could be.

Is there a simple setting that will automatically disable my screen lock when I'm at home or at work? If not a setting, is there an app you recommend?
Long version: I'm fairly new to "devices". I got my first, a wifi-only Samsung tablet about 6 months ago and use it sporadically, mostly when traveling, but also it's become my semi-permanent music player at home. I got my first smart phone, a MotoX about 2 weeks ago. Love the MotoX and feel it's exceptionally well designed, easy to configure, and useful, but I have nothing to compare it to other than my wife's IPhone 5.
I have done a web search for this information. I have also searched and scanned around these forums, but didn't find anything I felt comfortable with in terms of how fussy or current the set up steps are or how current the app recommendations are. The two apps I've come across are, IIRC, called "Delayed Lock (trial or paid)" and "Unlock with WiFi".
My question is - today, mid-October 2013 - how do you recommend disabling screen lock while at certain locations. I imagine I'll be using it strictly at work or at home, both of which have wifi I connect to automatically. I might want to disable screen lock while driving, but so far have found my MotoX's Assist driving mode to work very well. I might get a Bluetooth device and at that point would probably want to disable the screen lock while that bluetooth device was connected.

I'm developing an application that should add it's shortcut to home screen after installation and remove it after the application is being uninstalled. The application will be preinstalled on the end user device, but still should have an option for uninstall). The task looks very simple but I've faced lots of troubles implementing it. What I have done:
Add shortcut to the home screen using
com.android.launcher.action.INSTALL_SHORTCUT
on app first launch or on newt device
reboot.
MANUALY remove shortcut using
com.android.launcher.action.UNINSTALL_SHORTCUT................

should be getting my Dinc here in a couple days and was making a couple wallpapers to get ready. My one question is i seen the post hat say the resolution or size is 960wx800h but is that just for the main screen and that will scroll to all 7 pages what i was wondering if not, what does the width of a picture have to be to scroll the total of the 7 pages, like i have a long width wise wallpaper and wanted to make it expand to a diff image on each page. sorry for the trouble and if the 960 already covered that,

Two things I'd like to be able to do with my incredible.First is reduce the number of homescreens. Seven is really pointless for me, it makes finding the right screen take a little longer and there's just not enough good quality widgets that I need to use. I could do better with 5 and possibly just 3.Second is that when I'm not on a homescreen and I hit the home button, I'd like it to go back to the LAST homescreen I was on, not the center one. And if I'm already on a homescreen, once again pull up the homescreen select menu, instead of going to the center homescreen. It's a waste of a button press to always go to that center screen when pressing the home button.

I was up one night, with my rooted eris. Lying in bed, texting my girlfriend because she refused to let me sleep, I thought nothing of it. My phone was plugged in, and I fell asleep on top of it.Now most of the time my phone will automatically scroll to the left.I have reset my phone and tried other ROMs and it's all the same. I read in the forums that there is no fix but that was as of 5-xx-10.So i was wondering.... Is there a fix now or am I going to have to get a new phone?And if i do have to get a new phone... Would it be a refurb or would it be a NEW phone?

Can anyone help with a problem I have? I created an activity (extending a list activity) and have it populating with a list of peoples names, however when I scroll up or down it automatically greys out the whole list view until you stop scrolling. I have had open home (full version) for a few weeks now and I'm very pleased with it so far. The last couple of days I have been rearranging my folders and widgets and some of the open home settings.I also changed my background but when I chose the picture I wanted I only got the option of cropping in portrait. Now the background doesn't move from side to side when I change screens.I am assuming it's a setting I changed when I was playing around but I can't find any way of changing it back to the original landscape background that moves from side to side.

Although I don't have any issues while using apps or playing games, sometimes when I scroll through my home screens it kinda jerks back and stays on the same screen as if I had not swiped it properly or something. I'm not sure if it's because I am so used to my phone which does not take as much effort or if this is an actual problem.

Up until several days ago/yesterday you could scroll through the home screens in a circular manner( ie swiping the finger in one direction while the last screen would be replaced by the first one). Now all the sudden I see that my screens are like between two walls, when you reach the right or the left end you can't continiue further.
Is this some change in the settings someone made accidentally?

Sorry if this sounds silly, but what are the benefits of using a launcher or home screen replacement (launcherpro, ADW, etc?) I mean, they look like they are copies of Sense UI, so I really do not see the benefit if you are on an HTC phone. I could definitely see if for other Android devices, but I am just confused as to what the benefit is.

Ok Freaky, I place my phone down on the table within a few min the screens move from one to the other automatically whats up with this.. Its like a ghost here lol, No for real I swing my home pages all the way to the right within a few min they go back to the left strange any ideas people whats causing this..

I downloaded a couple widgets from HTC this evening. They show up in the widget list but wont load to home screen. Instead when I select them I am taken to a screen with uninstall and details as choices. Usually if I tap the widgets they are placed on a home screen where they can be launched.

When I fire up my web browser, Google is my home screen. Just below the search field my browser says "location unavailable update". When I click update it tries to acquire location but can't. I think I've tried everything to get it to locate my location. I've turned it on through google settings. I've turned on GPS on my phone. I've got nothing. I'm at a loss at how to enable this feature because I used to have it and liked it.

So I have had the Incredible for a while now and I absolutely love the phone. The only thing that has really bugged me from day one is the positioning of the home screen. The phone is suppose to be fully customizable but it seems that the one thing I have yet to figure out is how to change where my home screen is located. I would much rather have my home screen set as the left most screen instead of having it directly in the middle of my seven available screens. You know, sort of like how the iphone is and what not. Does anyone know if something like this is possible?

I have the HTC Incredible. Recently I realized that I cannot add any of the apps that I download from the Android Market to any of my home screens. If I try to add a program to my home scree, none of the apps recently installed (e.g mint.com, yelp, dictionary) show up in the list. But if I go to "All programs", they are there. Has anyone else had such a problem?

The other day when typing my haptic feedback kinda went clunk. Now I get no feedback whenever I move from one screen to another or select an icon on the home screen. I am sure that I got feedback when I pressed an icon before, I just want to make sure that it is supposed to do that.
So, can anyone confirm that they get the haptic feedback when they press an icon on the home screen?
I still get feedback from the softkeys, but it does not seem as strong, so I think by haptic motor has a problem.

Has anyone else been experiencing this. Sometimes when I click on the Home Screen button, it doesn't always go to the home screen, it might go to the screen to the right or left of it.
also sometimes when I lock the phone and then when I unlock it, it doesn't always go to the home screen. it might jump around.
Sometimes when I hit the home screen or down error right above it, the desk clock appears.
this is all very strange, just wondering what all of your thoughts are. Could it be a particular app that I downloaded.
