I am wondering if anyone knows of a way to transfer SMS and MMS messages from my Blackberry Curve 8330 to my HTC Hero (Sprint). I've been looking everywhere for an answer, but not really finding one. Also, if it helps at all, I use a MAC (in case there could be the possibility of a OS to computer transfer).

Have they come up with a way to transfer texts from a Blackberry to HTC Incredible yet? I heard sprite mobile had a solution. I am coming from a BB Storm 2 and I am feeling kind of sad leaving my Blackberry mostly because of Blackberry Messenger!

what is the best way to transfer all the music from my Blackberry's SD card to the EVO? The pictures I am not so concerned about but it is just the songs. Do i take the old card out of the BB and insert in the EVO or is there a way to just transfer the songs?

I know the simplest way to do it would have been to Google Sync my contacts into my Gmail from my BB then sync them to the EVO, but unfortunately, I can't do that now. The SIM in my BB is out thanks to my number transfer so no data, and I didn't have Google Sync installed.
I have a little over 200 contacts in my BB, and as I'm sure you understand putting all of them in manually is near insanity. Anyone in the same boat as me? Any solutions to this or is a long night of manual contact switching in my future?

Phone security - I've just moved from my Sony Ericsson C510 and have had other SE phones over the last 4 or 5 years and all have had the option to have a SIM lock and a phone lock, so basically you enter two pins at startup. I have managed to set the SIM lock on my X10 so it asks for a code at each startup, but the only other options I see for a lock are the pattern drawing thing, which admittedly I haven't attempted to set up yet. Is there anything where I can enter a code-based phone lock like on my old C510?
2. I have managed to transfer all of my contacts from my C510 using the send-all option over bluetooth, but is there anything I can do to transfer all of my texts to the X10?
3. Wallpaper. On all of my previous SE phones, it has always given me the option to use either a standard picture size or a maximised size for my phone wallpapers. On the X10 it forces me to crop my picture to a size which is not ideal! (e.g - if i wanted a pic of someone as my wallpaper, it would probably just cover their eyes!) To make this worse, once the selection is selected, the wallpaper is horribly zoomed and blocky. Surely I am doing something wrong and this can be resolved??
4. Where is the file system? Unlike my previous phones there is no file manager.

If I am running an App, Opera for example, and I press the back/home buttons, the only way I can get back to opera is to goto the main menu and click on it. I recently came over from using a Blackberry (and using the Blackberry Messenger app), and I am wondering what you all might suggest as an easy way to briefly send quick messages (not using SMS or email) that would be easy to set up on my end and for my Blackberry friends.Currently I do not have any chat systems or instant messaging systems set up (as never used any of that before), so I am hoping you can make your suggestions very simple to understand and set up. I use a blackberry at work and it seems when I use that one, it is the only time I lose all screen functionality. It starts going haywire. If I touch the A key, it will select the N or something completely off the wall. If I unplug it, wait about 60 seconds, it works again. Wonder if anyone else has an issue with other brand chargers? Going to toss this one but thought I'd let people know in case they run into the same issue.

When I switch the phone to vibration only, it shuts down my vibration for my email/texts. Besides having to turn down the volume (which I often forget to turn it back!), are there any apps out there that will suit my needs? Perhaps have both a ringer and an email/text option?

View 1 Replies View Relatedafter installing 2.2 on my hero, everything was working fine, until now. im having problems with my text messages, they wont send under sprints network, if i put it in roaming then they send right away, but roaming has awefully slow (1x) network speeds, but if i put it back to the 3g network speeds of sprint then everytime i try to send a text it just swirls in circles (the little thing next to the message) and wont send. is this sprints network being down? or does this have to do with the 2.2 update?i dont think its sprint because my mom and sister arent having any problems with there phones from the same plan. but i tryed restarting many times, taking out and leaving out the battery, putting it in airplane mode and turning that back off to reset connection, iv tryed everything and cant get it to work, so idk what to do, and i dont understand why if it was a software problem with the 2.2 installation, why would they send in roaming but not on sprints network?

But when I try to delete them the messages app crashes/freezes and even after killing the task it does not sort itself so I am forced to reboot.How the hell do I delete these!? Is there another way or do I need to wait for the next software update that I care about? The lag is the least of the issues, I believe this is also causing SMS Popup to crash (now uninstalled) but I really love this app.

It now shows a box that says download and when I push the download button it doesnt do anything.
