I realize the phone doesn't come with headphones but will we be able to buy headphones with player buttons and a mic? The N1 came with some headphones with play/pause and forward backward control buttons as well as a mic so you could pick up a call without taking the phone out of your pocket.

Why is it hard to find headphones with volume buttons? It seems like something that is an easy thing to implement. Why can the iphone do it and not android.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI've read around that the Apple headphones with the microphone do not work with the X. But all the threads I've read that from are from a while ago. What I've learned is that apparently other headphones with mics will work but these will not pickup your voice through the mic, and the volume and click buttons will not work. My question to you is, did anybody get these headphones to work with the mic and buttons? How did you get it to work? It seems to me that it is a software issue because other headphones will work, so has anybody configured there phone in a way to make it happen?
View 1 Replies View RelatedOk we all know that our evo music playback on headphones is ridiculously low especially if you coming from the iPhone, but today I found Astro player beta which have some good equalizer that can boots your audio output to new level,even louder than the iPhone 4 output with the same headphones,so try it out and keep in mind its still in beta stage so it force close a lot but it doesn't affect music playback when it does that.

Every time I unplug my headphones from phone, the music player launches and plays music through the speaker. I use the headphones to talk while I game, and am not running the music app, however it still chooses to open. Is there anyway I can prevent this?

View 2 Replies View RelatedWhen listening to music via the music player through headphones, any movement of the headphone input in the headphone jack causes tracks to FF it seems. i.e. If you spin the cord while in the jack, or even if you just push it in farther to see if it is fully seated tracks will FF. Not a showstopper, but I wanted to put this out there and see if anyone can reproduce this or is my phone just weird?

Shouldn't the phone's external speaker not be playing music while I'm using my headphones? Sometimes the external speaker will remain silent while my headphones are working (as I would imagine should be the case) until I receive a text message, and then the external speaker will play music along with the headphones. Anyone think this could be a problem with my device? My 30 day period expires on Sept.5 so I am wondering if I should return it for an exchange?

When I plugged in my earbuds from my Ipod tonight to go for a walk, the music continued to play through the speaker and not the headphones. I can't seem to find what I have done. I am using Isynch for my music and the preloaded music app. Do I need special headphones?

View 3 Replies View RelatedOn my way to work I use the headphones attached to my Incredible to listen to iHeartRadio/Padora, etc. Once I get to work I make sure I kill the applications that I am not using, including the music applications. Once they are killed I remove the headphones from the phone. The problem is that once I remove the headphones, the music application automatically starts and plays over the speaker on the phone eventhough the applications were killed before I disconnect the headphones. The only way to stop the music from playing is to task kill it again after I disconnect the headphones.I am using the headphones supplied by the Blackberry Storm that have the microphone.

It'll work normal and then all of a sudden itll switch to a headset icon and the music messes up. I have to take out the headphones and plug them back in, and on Pandora I have to switch songs also. I've tried 3 sets of headphones and even a pair of speakers. Tried search, didn't find anything.

This is particularly noticeable on the small in ear headphones/earbuds during quiet portions of music, or if you have music playing and turn the volume down to zero, and for a short time after pausing music (until the audio jack is powered down. Is anyone else having these issues? Can anyone confirm that some phones do not have this issue?
I love the phone but this is almost a dealbreaker for me as it somewhat kills the whole idea of not needing a separate music player, though it can be somewhat worked around by headphones with online volume controls, decreasing volume by about half and boosting iron the phone.
Is there any way to mod the radio so that it can be listened to without headphones through the speaker? It's frustrating that it's required to have headphones on in order to turn on the radio.

View 6 Replies View RelatedEven registering the broadcast receiver at the highest priority still fails to receive the Bluetooth media button events on the HTC Hero phone. The Bluetooth media button registration code works fine on the other Android phones that I have tested. Apparently this isn't the first time HTC has done something like this, as I also found a report of a similar problem on one of the HTC Microsoft Mobile Devices reported here
It seems extremely short sighted of HTC to code their media player so that it grabs the Bluetooth AVRCP media button events in such a way that other applications are unable to work with the Bluetooth head phone buttons and Bluetooth in car stereo systems.................
Every time someone leaves me a voicemail on my home phone number, VOIP home phone voice mail box sends me the voicemail as a .wav file attachment. When I try to play this .wav file the phone refuses, saying "Sorry, the player does not support this type of audio file".
So, I take it the .wav files cannot be played on Android phones. Has anyone found a workable and simple workaround to this yet?
I noticed earlier that my Home, Menu, Back, and Search buttons decided to start lighting up randomly. It did this on and off for a few minutes. Anyone else seen this happen to their Incredible? Do you think it's an application? Because there were no actual notifications or alerts at the time. This isn't the first time I've seen this happen either. . .

I've seen these buttons (highlighted in red in the screenshots) in various places; Used for selection of a single item or as "enabled" or "disabled", they just don't look right. Especially in Astrid, they don't look like they do in the screenshots from the market. what are these buttons called (they're not radio buttons or checkboxes, so I'm assuming they have a name)? Does this happen to anyone else?

Well i installed pandora and have pandora one, i've also bluetooth'd it to my car stereo on the way home yesterday.Well tonite i was messing around it some more and noticed there are about 8 songs that i didn't download or transfer in the HTC Music player, they are songs/artist that i've possibly listen to in pandora. I'm not sure if pandora downloads songs and the htc player picked found them. So i tried to play a couple songs, skip a few and nothing new appeared in the htc player.
