So I got my sense to run in landscape, its clearly a glitch, but a repeatable one. I'm toying around with LP so I have home switcher. When you push home, the switcher comes up, as you select HTC Sense turn your phone into landscape, then sense will run like that. The home screens are a little werid, but all the apps and things work fine. FIGURE IT OUT HTC CMON

I mean seriously, they built the hardware with the kickstand for it to sit in landscape mode yet the software is stuck in portrait. View 4 Replies View RelatedBefore i start i just want to say that this worked for me. i do not have multiple eri (plural of eris)to test this on.. so if you want to try it and post your results. i was just playing around with my phone and decided to turn sense off. i was playing around with it and then i decided to try youtube. it worked on every video that i tried (with different users and everything). some background info>> my youtube application has never really worked.. it used to be where i could just try the video a few times and after a few error messages it would work. but now, with sense off, it works perfectly. i just thought i would put that out there so that if youtube was that important to you (because i would rather sense than youtube) then you can turn sense off before you decide you need to file a "law suite".
View 10 Replies View RelatedI just installed BH_Man's 1.6 notwiz using Odin and everything is working great except my HTC sense keyboard seems to crash nonstop now (it was working before with just stock 1.5). Is anyone here also having that problem? If someone has a working sense keyboard app that works with this rom, can you please upload it or tell me which version the app is? Swype is cool but I would also like to have the sense keyboard as well.

The new weather app HTC included with v2.1 doesn't allow me to add cities that aren't in its list ... frankly I don't give a crap what the weather in Paris or Dubai is! We used to be able to input additional cities, current locations, etc. and swipe thru the list. If there's a way to add cities I haven't found it yet ... anyone know how?
I've looked at the WeatherBug, Accuweather, Weather Channel, etc., etc. apps and while they're nice they don't allow me to EASILY switch from city to city. So, what I'm looking for is EXACTLY what we had before.... Anyone know where I can find that?
I just bought the Nexus One unlocked for AT&T and really like it. 1 wierd thing is that when I rotate the phone counter clockwise, the screen goes to landscape just fine; but when I rotate it clockwise it does not go to landscape "the other way". And, if I'm holding the phone 'normally' and rotate it 180 degrees ('upside down') it doesn't follow.My youngest daughter delights in telling me that her iPhone does this with no problem. What's up with that?
View 7 Replies View RelatedI just received a Droid Incredible and I believe it's a great phone, but there is one thing on it that makes it difficult for me to fully enjoy using it. I use the calendar everyday to type meetings, appointments, and reminders. I noticed that when I try to type anything using either calendar (HTC or Google's calendar), the portrait orientation is the only option that is offered. I know that the landscape keyboard is available for everything else (text messages, internet, etc.), but I'm forced to type all of my calendar appointments using the portrait keyboard. This slows down my typing whenever I use the calendar. I tried using the voice to text option to input text, but it is not always accurate. Is there an option under calendars that I did not find that makes it possible for me to type in the landscape orientation or do I need to download an app that will make it possible to type in the calendar using the landscape keyboard?
View 4 Replies View RelatedIt doesn't have a front facing camera like Evo BUT the Fring app works perfectly and will let you do video calls with the Incredible. This is actually excellent news for me. A lot of the times I couldn't care less who sees me but I want to see them (daughter, wife, etc.). This way they can look at what I'm looking at while I see them.

View 1 Replies View RelatedThis thing doesn't seem as if though it was designed to be used in landscape at all. The desktop can not go landscape along with many other programs.
But the biggest issue I am seeing is that the landscape keyboard doesn't seem to assume the same rules as the qwerty portrait. When you are in landscape and make a typing mistake it will not auto correct. No matter what the settings. If you searching something in google or typing in chat program it will not stop suggesting words to you. No matter the settings. But the worst offending issue is that in a chat program like meboo you can not see your conversation while typing.
When typing really fast in Landscape mode on my HTC Incredible I am noticing that the default HTC Incredible keyboard misses about 30% of my keystrokes. This is annoying, especially since I type faster in landscape than in portrait, yet the faster I type, the more keystrokes get missed.
Missed keystrokes seems to rarely occur, if ever, in portrait mode even if I type relatively fast.
Has anyone else noticed this? Is it due to graphic-lag, lack of multi-touch typing or some setting?
I've tried Shapewriter, SwipeIT, Swype, Better Keyboard, and Smart Keyboard and have found either their layout sucks and/or they miss significantly more keystrokes than TouchInput does in Landscape.

The only way I could get it to flip into landscape mode was to hold it vertically. Is there something wrong with my phone or am I imagining things?

Was streaming Pandora for a couple hours while working, then went to type a text and the full size landscape qwerty wouldn't come up only that aweful portrait mode cramped keyboard that makes me feel like I am typing on a blackberry now the browser won't switch to landscape either which is 'incredibly' annoying. Teeter seems to work fine, on level 19 and also "Bubble" an app for Leveling which switches to landscape in either direction.
