Sprint Hero :: Get Weather App That Works Like OLD HTC Sense Application?

Am looking for a weather app that works like the OLD HTC Sense app.
The new weather app HTC included with v2.1 doesn't allow me to add cities that aren't in its list ... frankly I don't give a crap what the weather in Paris or Dubai is! We used to be able to input additional cities, current locations, etc. and swipe thru the list. If there's a way to add cities I haven't found it yet ... anyone know how?
I've looked at the WeatherBug, Accuweather, Weather Channel, etc., etc. apps and while they're nice they don't allow me to EASILY switch from city to city. So, what I'm looking for is EXACTLY what we had before.... Anyone know where I can find that?

My wife really likes the weather animations with the stock Sense UI weather widget. However, she is running LP and cannot use that widget anymore. Does anyone know of a weather/clock widget that still gives you those animations that can be used with LP?
I have beautiful widgets currently, but it doesn't show the full screen animations like she likes (windshield wipers if it is raining, bright sunlight when sunny, etc.).

I read somewhere that 2.1 will block the tethering with PDANET. Does anyone know if that is true or not?
I just bought the paid version of PDANET a few days ago and that will suck it I can't use it anymore after 2.1.

Just purchased an unlock code from HTCCode to unlock my Orange UK phone. Didn't work. I am now back on my Orange sim but cannot get my phone to fully boot up. I get the message The Application HTC Sense(process com.htc.launcher) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again.I've tried several times with the force close button, without success. I don't know if anyone else is experiencing this, so I figured I would post it. Since flashing DC 2.08.1 on Sunday, I've had sense crash on me quite a few times per day. It did it twice on Sunday, four times yesterday and twice all ready today. I did flash the Espresso w/ stock rosie theme from DCUpdater and I'm not sure if that has anything to do with it. Any help would be appreciated as I really don't want to have to re-flash. If I have to go that way, I will probably just reload my nandroid of Fresh 2.0d.

Before upgrading to 2.1, I was able to turn off Sense UI by following these steps:How to: Turn off HTC Sense | AndroidGuys.Now, when I select "Clear Defaults" and hit the HOME button, all it does is take me back to the Sense UI home.Does anyone know how to turn off Sense UI with the new 2.1 firmware? Rooting is not an option.

can i run the HOME setup with all the nexus sweetness (weather/news app, maybe some icons...) and still be able to switch back to my SENSE the way I have it set up now when I want (just by going into applications and switching out the defaults between SENSE and HOME) without having to flash, reboot, etc.?

I am about to get my Hero back and was wondering if Open Home & Sense UI played nice together? Will I get to use Open Home & HTC Widgets? I have been using it on my Moment, but not sure if I even need it with my hero, just want to be able to use different icons & skins. Would I be better with Pandahome or DX?

I've found this great home replacement app called launcherpro that is wayyy faster and smoother than the sense home. I currently have this set as my default home, so I just pull up taskiller to kill off sense and free up some memory. Even though I kill sense off with taskiller I see that sense has started back up every once and awhile and was wondering both why it starts back up and whether there is a way to stop it from doing so? Also, will killing sense like this lead to any problems down the road?

I have looked there, and xda is my next stop, but I would like to ditch Sense and use the standard Android UI. Does anyone know if this is possible? I am not talking about flashing the ROM but rather stopping Sense and loading the normal UI. I am not having any real problems with the Sense UI per se but from playing with other Android devices I think I prefer the normal interface.

All of a sudden, the weather on my home screen w/ htc scene/rosie display wont automatically update, i have to click it, then refresh it for it to update, & when i go to the settings, & check the automatic updates it doesn't stay checked, b/c when i go back to settings, its unchecked, & i can check it again, back out, & go back, & its unchecked again.

I forgot what i clicked on but it asked me "complete action using" then it gave me three choices to choose from which were

Forgot the third
This is referring to the homescreen and the default home is what the defualt android home screen looks like and HTC sence is what i need. I clicked on the Defualt home and now my home screen looks different. How do i get that option to pop up again so I can choose HTC sence?

I have a rooted Hero, running Fresh 2.3.3 ROM with DarchKernel786. I use LauncherPro and want to delete HTC sense from taking up so much internal memory! Is this possible? Also, i want to remove some stock apps like Peep from my phone as well, but they do not show up under app uninstaller. I've read that root explorer app can accomplish this, but the app was really confusing and I didn't understand. Can someone help me out?

Is it possible to use LWP in HTC Sense in Fresh? I know the flip guy sent out a fix for this, but that took away weather animations (and I like that). Also the LWP ran a bit laggy, as opposed to when I ran the LWP with the undo fix. The issue is though, when I run it with the fix undone, whenever I wake the phone up, it disappears. Is this some sort of remedy for this.

Since few days ago, com.htc.bgp has been force closing on my HTC Hero. I have tried pretty much any remedy I have found on the internet, but it still bugs. Here's a list:
-Hard reset
-Deleting caches from ALL of the apps
-Deleting the HTC Sense app on Facebook.com (with hard reset)
-Turning off Facebook sync (this DID work, but losing functionality that worked just a few days ago kind of sucks).

Anyone using Genie.apk (News and Weather Widget)? I installed the widget for "Weather" and it has been working well, until yesterday. It just says "Sorry, unable to connect, Please try later." And there is a "Retry Now" Button. Pressing retry says "loading" but then returns the same message. I have deleted and reinstalled the widget with the same results. Hopefuly it is just a server issue, and will be fixed shortly.

I got tired of the big clock on my screen, seeing as how I have one in the task bar anyhow, but enjoyed having the weather. There are many widgets out there, but I really liked the one that came on the nexus one.

Why the weather is disappearing on the clock widget? Sometimes I have to sync it to come back on the home screen. When the weather disappears I still have a internet connection. I noticed it today that I was having this problem. I contacted Sprint just to get this notated on my account. I read this on the forum before but I can't find it. How can I stop this from happening?
