Sep 26, 2010I'm sorry to bother everyone with this, especially if it was already asked. My sister, her husband and her son (my neph) own an Evo. They were OTA's to froyo way back. Now, I've gotten a call from her asking me why their swype no longer works on their phones. They had a swype.apk that was unauthorized, fyi. Note: I am not asking for a link, I'm asking if anyone knows what happened. She's asking me (everyone comes to me with their android questions).

Oct 30, 2010So I got my sense to run in landscape, its clearly a glitch, but a repeatable one. I'm toying around with LP so I have home switcher. When you push home, the switcher comes up, as you select HTC Sense turn your phone into landscape, then sense will run like that. The home screens are a little werid, but all the apps and things work fine. FIGURE IT OUT HTC CMON

Jan 25, 2010Before i start i just want to say that this worked for me. i do not have multiple eri (plural of eris)to test this on.. so if you want to try it and post your results. i was just playing around with my phone and decided to turn sense off. i was playing around with it and then i decided to try youtube. it worked on every video that i tried (with different users and everything). some background info>> my youtube application has never really worked.. it used to be where i could just try the video a few times and after a few error messages it would work. but now, with sense off, it works perfectly. i just thought i would put that out there so that if youtube was that important to you (because i would rather sense than youtube) then you can turn sense off before you decide you need to file a "law suite".

Apr 22, 2010I just installed BH_Man's 1.6 notwiz using Odin and everything is working great except my HTC sense keyboard seems to crash nonstop now (it was working before with just stock 1.5). Is anyone here also having that problem? If someone has a working sense keyboard app that works with this rom, can you please upload it or tell me which version the app is? Swype is cool but I would also like to have the sense keyboard as well.

Jul 20, 2010Am looking for a weather app that works like the OLD HTC Sense app.
The new weather app HTC included with v2.1 doesn't allow me to add cities that aren't in its list ... frankly I don't give a crap what the weather in Paris or Dubai is! We used to be able to input additional cities, current locations, etc. and swipe thru the list. If there's a way to add cities I haven't found it yet ... anyone know how?
I've looked at the WeatherBug, Accuweather, Weather Channel, etc., etc. apps and while they're nice they don't allow me to EASILY switch from city to city. So, what I'm looking for is EXACTLY what we had before.... Anyone know where I can find that?
Nexus :: Swype Beta Not Working On N1
May 27, 2010I looked around and couldn't find anything specific to an un-rooted N1. I used to have the original leaked version of Swype and it worked fine. I downloaded the Swype Beta when it came out and have been having all kinds of problems with if freezing. I've tried un-installing and re-installing and it still happens. Can someone tell me how to fix it or post a link to the original leaked version?

I can tap the letters to type, but when I swype my finger, the whole keyboard becomes highlighted around the edges. Its not registering the swype, but I registers taps.

Oct 16, 2013recently I have received a Galaxy Nexus from A sibling because it had a defective charge port. I had replaced it (which included a new mic). I noticed my mic didn't work with phone calls (I understand that people were experiencing a muted effect, I cannot even hear a muffled sound. just fuzzy background recording) as well as with certain apps like snapchat. however with certain apps and features such as Smart Voice Recorder, and Text-to-speech feature, it functioned perfectly with clear recording. I have plugged in a external mic, as well as a two individual headsets with mic feature, and the same problem persist. I have even gone as far as to download the Soundabout app which allows me to decide what my primary recording device is, and still no resolve.

Was quickly reading a review of the Desire and read it has touch-to-focus. Was just wondering if anyone who is actually running the modaco desire ROM on their N1 can confirm whether this works? I'd also be interested to know if I could just use the desire camera app on a rooted N1 with Cynanogen? I'm rather partial to the stock appearance and not massively inclined towards Sense UI.

Jul 1, 2010I just bought the Nexus One unlocked for AT&T and really like it. 1 wierd thing is that when I rotate the phone counter clockwise, the screen goes to landscape just fine; but when I rotate it clockwise it does not go to landscape "the other way". And, if I'm holding the phone 'normally' and rotate it 180 degrees ('upside down') it doesn't follow.My youngest daughter delights in telling me that her iPhone does this with no problem. What's up with that?

I am not new to android: i have had the G1 which i did not root, the T-Mobile pulse, which i rooted and the HTC Legend and now the Nexus one.
Some questions?
With the legend i am am awhere of the Sence UI ? i liked how facebook contacts synced to my phone and when i rang i saw there display pictures, does the Nexus one do this?
SMS, is there a similar app to the legend, where you see threaded messages with a picture of there facebook dp?
I can't hear the phone when it rings, its so quiet, the volume is on max, is there anyway to increase this?

May 15, 2010I recently bought a rooted N1 off of ebay. I plugged my SIM in and everything worked fine all day yesterday. I went to sleep on my bed, with the N1 in my pocket, and when I woke up the phone was indicating that there was no SIM card in the phone. I rebooted the phone, and factory reset it, yet it still indicated that there was no SIM inside the phone. I put my SIM card in my wife's iPhone and the phone worked fine.
1) Could sleeping with it in my pocket have done this?
2) Did I just buy a dud off of Ebay? And if so, how is this possible because it worked all day yesterday?
