Anyone else having issues with the screen flashing or sliding to the left two times per occurrence when using the browser and applications? Any fixes for it yet?
Did anyone else realize that after hitting the up arrow to view applications you can grab the top and slide it down (opposite of the notifications drawer) Just found that out today

View 3 Replies View RelatedJust wondering if now that we have full flash, if there is a "best browser to use" I have been using skyfire and it seems slow and choppy and sometimes things dont even load. Is there a better browser or any other advice you could give me?
View 10 Replies View RelatedI just got the OTA 2.2 update and love the speed of Froyo...it REALLY is faster that 2.1. BUT its not fast enough to run flash properly on some pages. IGN.com is one site that its just to choppy to scroll around properly. I'd rather have speed and smoothness than flash and I don't see any options to disable flash.
Anyone know if it can be disabled and where is the option? And by disable it I mean give the static image....not the green arrow in the white box. The reason is because some pages do not render properly when flash is disabled. A HUGE white box covers a lot of the screen. One example is IGN.com.
Also on a side note, everything else to me was extremely fast on 2.1 and the reason why most people can't tell 2.2 is faster is because they are looking at the fast things in 2.1 and trying to decide if its faster...which you can't really do...you have to look at whats slow. Its like seeing a car fly by...was it going 90 or 100? Hard to tell....but I'm sure you can tell between a car going 20 or 60.
Below are a couple of things in 2.2 is definetely faster than 2.1 for me.
1. Scrolling through text messages is much smoother than 2.1
2. There was a slight 1 - 2 second delay in 2.1 when going to bookmarks (using the thumbnail option)...I guess to load up the images...it is now much quicker. Also, scrolling through the thumbnail bookmarks is a lot quicker.
Maybe its just me but with this RUU and full flash, the browser scrolls a lot slower. I was running skyraider before and noticed this after I installed the full flash apk. Removed full flash and scrolling sped up like before.
Anyone notice this?
I'm temped to revert back to either skyraider or flash lite. The browser lag is quite annoying. Anyone know how to disable full flash in the latest leak (cant uninstall it). I imagine i could just rename something. Any tips?
As it may be a little while before Froyo is available for the Incredible I wonder if it might be possible to port Froyo's browser with flash support to Android 2.1. Ah the things you dream up when stuck at work doing data entry all day.

He told me the password and I can use it to wake the phone up just fine but I use the slide screen, but now there is both password unlock and the slide screens. I cant figure how to remove the password one

View 5 Replies View RelatedWhen I fire up my web browser, Google is my home screen. Just below the search field my browser says "location unavailable update". When I click update it tries to acquire location but can't. I think I've tried everything to get it to locate my location. I've turned it on through google settings. I've turned on GPS on my phone. I've got nothing. I'm at a loss at how to enable this feature because I used to have it and liked it.
View 1 Replies View RelatedFor example when I was using the camera and as soon as a snap a pic it goes back to the home screen, not all the time, but annoying nonetheless. It just did that when I was using google maps also.

View 3 Replies View RelatedSometimes, for example, when I perform a search on google, the text box where I enter my search query gets stuck on the screen...even when it loads the results. There is no way to make it go away without restarting the browser.
View 1 Replies View RelatedFirst post: This is probably a dumb question. Why do I get a white screen with a circle and a gray triangle when trying to view flash content? Example: Zinio or Olivesoftware. Motodroid, Android 2.2, Flash 10.1.92.8 from Market.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm installing Android in a mobile without touch screen. I wonder if is there a way of turn of the screen lock, or unlock it some other way then slide the screen?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI really like the pattern unlock that android has, but I don't like having to both slide to unlock, then pattern unlock. Any way to disable the first slide lock only? I've searched, an found a few old threads but nothing helpful. Applications like nolock, disable both lock screens.
View 13 Replies View RelatedFor some reason my screen will not slide lock sometimes. The only way to get it back is to restart my phone. Did I turn something on or off that would do this?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm hoping it is and I'm just too much of a newbie to find how (spent all morning googling and checking forums add youtube) for a way to customize my 7 home pages. I have beautiful widget for the clock and weather but all 7 screens have the same wallpaper and lock screen. Also the icons could use a little bling Maybe even a banner.

I do not know why a good product is discontinue ? I can not use the email on this launcher because Google change the API . URL.....
View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to download the home replacement application Slide Screen by Larva Labs on my HTC Evo 4G but its not in the Market and when I click the download link on Slide Screen's web site I get a 404 error. Any idea if this app is no longer available or do I have to download it elsewhere?
View 5 Replies View RelatedDroid X Android 2.2. Does anyone know how to remove the slide to unlock screen when the phone first wakes up? I use the visible pattern lock and first have to slide to unlock then the phone goes to the visible pattern. The old operating system let you remove this but I can't find that on 2.2.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have ads that display on the top and bottom of the screen, and I'd like them both to slide off the screen smoothly, instead of just disappear. Is there some way to do this? They are both WebViews, if that makes any difference.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI had the slide lock/accidental touch lock disabled in 2.1 bone stock phone. Got the 2.2 OTA. Installed without issue and has addressed many of my previous complaints (VPN, WiFi, speaker volume). Under settings / location&security, in the security section, I see only two options 'set up screen lock' (pattern/pin/password) and 'security lock timer'. Where is the option to turn on the slide lock? VZW support was completely clueless, as I have (sadly) come to expect. They transferred me to Motorola support, who says there should be a 3rd option there for the screen lock.
View 1 Replies View RelatedHow do I activate the slide lock screen coming out of timeout now since the 2.2 froyo update? I don't see it in the setting anymore?
View 10 Replies View RelatedSlight Update: Now using Slide Screen. Love its simplicity, and the ability to have all in one screen. It'd be nice if they allowed you to change wallpapers, and/or the side color rainbow thing. But all in all I love it. And I am not complaining. Go to Slide Screen by Larva Labs. Or search it in the Market.
View 10 Replies View RelatedI love the SlidingDrawer widget, but would love to be able to have it slide down from the top of the screen (like the notification bar) vs. just the bottom. Is this possible, or am I looking at copying the code to create a custom implementation
View 2 Replies View RelatedI got my phone back late oct, and i use it unrooted, all the time, I can make calls very simply. with minor lag here and there. But anytime my phone is asleep, and i try to answer any incoming call, either Google voice or direct, I can't slide the screen to answer. and none of the buttons do anything and the call goes missed.
it's really annoying. my wife has the same phone and hers eloquently answers calls. after a few moments, the display changes to show the call is missed. and i can operate the phone again - usually with the dismay of having to call the person back, at the same time while they are leaving voicemail - NOT being able to answer the phone when it rings is really kinda a critical problem for me. Anyone familiar with this issue, and would like to take a stab at helping me fix it. I'm willing to wipe and restore to defaults just to make it work right.
I have to call back about one out of 3 callers because when I try to slide the answer button, something goes wrong and the screen to answer disappears without answering the phone. the phone continues to ring, but I can't answer it.
1) Is there an app to change the answering options?
2) is there a way to get the slide screen back so I can answer?
Is there is a way to take slide show off when I receive a picture message? its annoying I receive one picture go to view it it displays for 5 seconds and then goes back to the text... Is there a way that it doesn't have to be view in slide show mode?
