Sometimes, for example, when I perform a search on google, the text box where I enter my search query gets stuck on the screen...even when it loads the results. There is no way to make it go away without restarting the browser.

Is there any way to use the heros search button to perform a google search in dolphin browser? It's a big drawback at the moment.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI have loaded the Dolphin browser as my default browser and the google homepage is stuck in Spanish. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app multiple times and nothing changes. The only way to view it in english is to scroll down to the bottom of the google homepage and press "Google.com in in English". Once I close the browser and come back its back in Spanish. Any ideas or suggestions?

New to Android and to Dolphin Browser HD. I've Googled for days, however, I have come up with squat.
1) When I open a new tab, can it automatically go to my homepage and not the "Speed Dial" sort of page it does now? Any add-ons that might enable this?
2) Does Dolphin Browser HD do automatic text reflow? And, if not, any other browsers that can do this? It is pretty tedious now trying to read pages that aren't re-sized for mobile.
Seems like mine forces closes more than I would like. I downloaded the HD one for my inc. What's the difference between the HD and reg one? Also any other better or comparabers browers out there?

I like to listed to music streaming and the stock browser seems to allow Flash play audio, but the Dolphin browser can not recognize it. The problem with listening with the stock browser is that when the phone goes into standby mode, it stops playing. Does anyone know how to keep it playing when the screen turns off?

View 2 Replies View RelatedWell I just downloaded the Dolphin Browser on to my Incredible today. I noticed that playing videos was actually better with putting it in the Iphone mode. In fact I cant even get it to load with the android mode, and the desktop mode while it has better quality because its loading the actual site video, the video seems to skip and frame rate. So sound comes before the lips or vice versa. On the Incredible the best video loader by far is You Tube player, that seems to be the best and I can even put videos in high quality mode.
I wish I could play every video with the you tube video player as it is the clearest and sharpest video player out of everything that plays on the web. the 2nd best browser for playing videos is the skyfire browser, but that for me only works half the time and can seem like a pain. Anyone got any suggestions to making the video work better that would be great, coming from the moto droid to this phone for video reasons, am very unhappy with so far. I hope in the future that they can fix this problem of mine. Its just so pix pix-elated.
Question! I'm a big fan of the dolphin HD browser, but I can't seem to find a way to turn off 'mobile view.' There are lots of websites I like that won't let me see video if it detects I'm on a mobile device.
The stock browser has an option under settings to turn off mobile view, and it usually works.
Does dolphin browser have something similar? I can't seem to find it...
I can only "watch" the item and look at it but there is no purchase button how can I find it?

does it matter which i use ? for example if i know the www address or if I just want to search say for car rentals and do not know the web address.
also my phone is a bell prepaid phone and when I use the browser to find a page i get a little pop up that says something about bell mobi whatever that is and telling me to bookmark it.
Sometimes with the browser getting stuck? The progress bar will load to like 90% and just stop. Happens on every page I visit. The only way to get it to work again is to reboot the Inc. The problem occurs intermittently.

I have a question with youtube/android market/internet browser after searching for something. For example, if first I type in the word transformers and then click it, it will search youtube or if I am on the android market/internet search for transformers. Next if I went to search for transformers 2, I start typing in the word "transformers" and right away the above word appears, but if I click on it, it goes right to the original search. How can I do it where if I click on it the word transformers will appear but not run youtube video/android market/web browser so I can then type in the number 2.

Whenever I do a search w/ google search widget it will open the searched items in the HTC internet browser. I checked for a setting but didn't find any. Dolphin HD is the default browser.
View 16 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to integrate google search widget, but met a problem when retrieving keywords from google search widget. It only has problem in the following scenario:
1. Launch my application, and click back. 2. Enter keyword in google search widget, i..e 'a', and launch it. Everything works fine. 3. Press Home. 4. Enter keyword in google search widget, i..e 'b', and launch it. But my application still got 'a' from getIntent() method.
The problem seems to be caused by activity life cycle. For step.4, only onRestart -> onStart -> onResume -> ... is called so that I can't get the launching intent from google search widget. The bug goes away if I finish my application in onStop method. (But it will cause problem for landscape<-> portraint switch since onStop is also invoked when switching screen). Is there any way to get the query string from google search widget for this scenario? Or did I miss any setting in AndroidManifest.xml?
Currently using Dolphin HD on my desire. When using the soft search button is there anyway of changing it to search via Google.co.UK and not Google.com. Its really annoying when your search results are all for American sites. The stock desire browser uses co.UK but I much prefer Dolphin HD.

View 2 Replies View RelatedSince I've set Dolphin as my default browser, when I click on a link to search for an app in the market I get a not found error. For instance, there is a link in Documents to Go (the paid key file) that is supposed to take you to the market to download the actual Documents to Go apps when I click on that link it opens the Dolphin browser and then there is a not found error. Before I set Dolphin as the default those types of links would open the market place to the application.
