May 18, 2010has anyone gotten a pop up stating something to the effect of "this power supply is not compatible with your device, unplug to avoid damage to your device"?

LG Eve :: Charging / Amperage - Usb Power Supply
Apr 6, 2010I just got a used LG Eve but it didn't come with an ac wall charger. A pc puts out 500mA through usb as most of you know and I find it takes awhile to charge this phone through my pc. My pc is also in the basement while my room is 2floors above that and I generally like to charge my phone next to my bed while I sleep. How many amps does the ac wall charger put out? Also I have a usb power supply thing that puts out 5volts at 2amps. Would this be too much for the phone/battery and kill it?

Android :: Time Elapsed Since AC Supply Unplugged
Aug 17, 2010I'd like to know if there is a way to get the elapsed time since the phone was unplugged from AC supply. I know that I can register a receiver to catch battery events - but this just works if my service is running already when the status changes. In my case I assume that the application is started when the AC supply was already plugged out before and I then want to retrieve the time.

Android :: Does The Kindle Application Only Supply Quick Reads?
Aug 24, 2010I really really really want a kindle 2 reader, but it isn't my birthday until December, so I've downloaded the kindle for Android application to my Sony Ericsson X10 Experia, I've only downloaded one book so far, but I read it within a day, I noticed at the end of the book that it said "quick read". Are all the books supplied quick reads? Is this the same on the Kindle reader? If this is the case I won't be buying one, I want the full version of the books!

Jan 5, 2010Has anyone had any luck with aftermarket power supply's. I'd like a car/ac charger or a stand alone power pack. I usually use my DEXIM. but it does not work with the Behold 2. I've tried a car charger/battery unit by Wireless Gear that said it was compatible with all Samsung phones, it came with 5 power tips and a USB outlet that still would not work, even using the OEM USB cable. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I will go with OEM Samsung if necessary, but there selection is limited.

Aug 3, 2010I would like the screen to stay on (on whatever brightness it's normally set at) when connected to external power. I've found the Settings/Applications/Development "Stay Awake" checkbox, but the screen still dims down after 30 seconds, though it doesn't go completely off.Is there a way to keep the screen on?All the WinMo phones I had had two separate profiles one for on battery and one for when on a charger, and you could set the screen brightness and timeout independently for each power profile.The reason for this is that I have a dashmount cradle of sorts that I use, and I generally put the phone in it and plug it in when I'm driving any sort of distance. I do things like look at the phone signal, see if new mail comes in, etc. while driving, and it's just reassuring to look down at the phone and see it doing something without having to hit the power button.

I power it off completely every night and then power it back on the next morning to save some battery. I've always done this with my other phones and never had a problem, but this being a smart phone with so many applications running, it's like a computer so I wasn't sure if it's just better to leave it in sleep mode all night instead.

May 25, 2010If you'll recall, the power button, volume rocker, micro usb port as well as backplate were all the infamous red color, prior to the Incredible's release. A few of us actually liked the uniqueness of the red backplate and photos of a version of the phone were even leaked, sporting a black backplate & red buttons.
I noticed yesterday that the micro USB port trim (currently black) has a little piece of the plastic chipped away. The interesting thing I noticed is that, below the black, I can see a hint of the red. Personally, I'd prefer red accents for the three areas.
HTC Incredible :: How Do You Uninstall Power Control Widget?
May 5, 2010Searched all over the forums and internet for an answer but came up blank.I downloaded an app called power control and installed it. It screwed up my contact list so I wanted to uninstall it. Not just remove it from my desktop, but full uninstall is what I'm after.Did a search for it in the android market and could not find it anywhere again to uninstall it that way. Tried using Astro File Manager to uninstall but does not show up there.The only place it shows up on my phone is in the bottom menu bar ( menu, phone, + ) I hit + -----> widgets ------> power control. Anybody have an ideas on how to uninstall this thing ?

Next, Do i really need much processor power at all when screen is off? Why cant i just dial this way down so the battery is barely being used when screen is off? (how low can i go and still have no issues with email/messaging sync?)
Right now I have "screen off" profile set to 284/245. Is this why there is a bit of lag when unlocking? And is did i just answer my own question above? Meaning is this the reason why its not good to crank it way down during screen off?

Apr 29, 2010Just thinking, should the Push Gmail use less battery power than "Pull" such as Yahoo Mail. It would seem that the pull process is having to go look every 15 min and the Push process is merely sending it as it arrives.

May 4, 2010The "automatic" brightness setting sucks. It doesn't detect high light situations, like being outdoors. To get the proper brightness you need to use the power control widget to set the brightness up to see it in sunlight. Not a big deal, but after using the widget you either have to manually reset it to automatic in the settings, turn the brightness off or on high. Its just kind of annoying. When your in sunlight without the brightness up to the highest level I can see nothing on the phone. Literally the screen appears to be off. Is this just my phone, or does the incredible really not sense high light situations.

Or do you have to install undervolt to do that? Also can you install both overvolt and undervolt at the same time? Sep 9, 2010seems like anything using 3g drains my battery. slacker player saps 30% of a 2600mah battery in a single hour. If I were to be conservative, it would be 25% of a 2200mah, accounting for other parts of the phone and possibly a low quality battery. Even then, that's horrible. It didn't used to be this bad. And now I suspect it's a combination of a new radio update that boosts signal by consuming more power, and the fact that 3g coverage is weak where I'm at (though it worked good enough before the update). So if there's any way to downgrade radio without losing froyo or other phone functionality, or directly influence power consumption of the 3g radio, please let me know.
