I'm considering shelling out the money for the missing sync. I'm impressed by all it claims it can do (wireless syncing is particularly appealing). I'm looking for opinions from those who have used it, and any suggestions of free or cheaper alternatives. Right now I'm using DoubleTwist for my music, which is okay but not really anything to write home about.

I bought the Incredible. I love it so far. (I could do a very large review on it vs. an iphone 3g.However, I have found that my corporate email calendar is not syncing correctly. I am missing events! I have reinstalled the active sync account 3 times now and each time it resyncs different calendar items.I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this or if I am just doing something wrong.

I tried their support center, it would not allow me to register.
I tried their forum, it's security image does not appear, making it impossible to post.
Tried their Board e-mail, bounces back with error.
Tried their support@markspace.com, bounces back with error.
Has anybody used this successfully? Should I contact visa...?
I heard this is a great App for syncing Droid with Outlook but I'm having problems with my first sync. Getting an error message that says "Desktop not found".
View 5 Replies View RelatedI downloaded the missing sync from the market on Friday morning. I had to reset my handset because of the default settings of facebook doubled my contacts. Since setting the option of not to sync them doesn't take them away, I had to do a hard reset to get them out. I've downloaded most of my apps again, except Missing Sync. I can find it via the computer, but when I try to find it and download via either appbrain or directly from the market either I can't find it or it will not allow me to install the app with the following error - There are no matches in Android Market for the search:
pname:com markspace.missingsync
I am after a bit of advice, I have numerous outlook contacts that are made up of maybe 4 or 5 words all starting with the same first word, since syncing my contacts it appears the first and last word are the only ones that have synced, missing out all the words inbetween making it near impossible to know what each one is. Has anyone any ideas on how to fix this issue.

After installation, icons for the programs don't appear in the programs list. I've confirmed they're installed, as they show up in the manage apps list. Any programs installed via the Market show up on the programs list.
I've noticed that one of my friends on their contact picture has lost the little Facebook icon overlay and that syncing with Facebook wont bring it back.
Their contact picture has been replaced by another blurry pixellated picture.
Further to this, I notice that the actual contact picture in Facebook for HTC Sense is borked and pixellated. Anyone seen anything like this before?
I just bought a Xperia X10 and the only sync option I have is google. How can I get the sony ericsson sync for my phone.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI just changed to a new desktop running Windows 7. After installing HTC Sync, it can detect my HTC Hero. The problem is, under Sync Manager, it only show "contacts" but no "calendar".
How do I make it to see the calendar. I am running Outlook 2007.
I don't have this problem previously when I used Windows XP. Both contacts and calendar synced properly before.

View 2 Replies View RelatedOkay, I know 5000 songs is a lot. It's not as much as the song count for anyone I know, but it's a lot nonetheless. However, it's still less than an iPod from 5 years ago could handle, so why is it too much for the Droid? Every time I try "syncing" my library (read: Copying over the music folder, because the Droid doesn't have a syncing app and DoubleTwist is outright broken in its sync method) I end up missing like half of it. Usually it takes me a smidgen of time to realize an album is missing, but immediately afterwards I notice a LOT of albums are missing.
I try renaming the artist name folder, and the Droid them makes some attempt to locate the new music. First it gives me the spinning "loading" icon in the upper-right of my albums list view, and then it "resets" the view to the main four icons (Artists, Albums, Songs, Playlists). However, it still doesn't load the new material. I'm assuming at this point that the Droid has an outright song limit that hovers around 3,000. Either that or the "compilations" folder is killing its library search function.
Anyone know if this got fixed in 2.1? At least then I'd have something to look forward to. An alternate music player with cover art support would be fine, too. I don't mind paying extra if it's well-made.
Randomly stopping mid-track on HE-AAC files is also incredibly annoying.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI've spent the last couple of hours trying to figure out why HTC Sync would not allow me to use the Mobile Network Sharing (MNS). All morning, I had assumed that my notebook was using the MNS as I was able to access Facebook from the office. Turns out that I was latched onto a secondary WiFi access point without realizing it. So, after installing HTC Sync, all other drivers installed fine, except for the NDIS driver which is needed in order to use MNS. I searched high and low to find a download for the driver, and finally found it.
For those of you who are missing the driver (not sure? Open Device Manager, and see if you have an Android Phone device that is showing up as an error), go to your Program Files folder, look for the HTC folder, and in it, you will find HTC Drivers... that elusive NDIS driver is stored there. Just go to Device Manager, find the Android Phone device, right click, select Update Driver, and get it to find the driver from the folder above. Once the driver is installed, getting online is easy
I have a Droid X 2.2. I noticed that the option to sync with google calendar is missing on my phone. I have done quite a bit of research and tried what others have suggested. Here's what I've tried so far:
- Clearing the "Calendar Storage" and then creating another google dummy account as many suggested.
- Adding an event to the Calendar. I couldn't - it kept asking me to sync with a calendar account first. In the settings within the Calendar, when I checked Accounts, there was no accounts to add, neither could I add one.
The weirdest thing I found is that I don't have the same phone options as many online posts say I should have. At the Home > Settings > Accounts & Synchronization, I have only Accounts but no Synchronization. Is there an alternative like not using Google calendar but some other online calendar to sync?
I have about 17 pictures i have taken from my camera on my phone.Now i can see all of them when i go into the photos app. When i view the details they all say the location is 100 media.Now when i use ASTRO or plug my phone into my laptop.Only 2 show up?i checked every file folder on the phone, and sd and they are just not anywhere? i also tried the 3d gallery app, and that can't find the missing 15.New pictures i take show up.Im lost.

They WERE there.I've looked at them, been able to see them.Now, all of a sudden, they're grey boxes with a picture symbol and exclamation point.On my computer, they show up as a red X.I thought I might be in luck since I back everything up with Lookout. Well, apparently Lookout is NOT doing it's job. I've never checked up on it before, and tonight when I log in, although the option to back up pictures is checked, it DOES NOT BACK UP PICTURES! None of my pictures have ever been backed up with Lookout.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI plugged my phone into my laptop to charge, which I normally do. While it was charging, I decided to take a look at some files I had saved on the phone/microSD. However, when I went to the notification bar to change the USB connection setting, there was nothing there to change! I even went into Settings>Connect to PC and changed the setting to "Disk Drive", exited settings, unplugged the phone, and replugged it in, still nothing. The phone IS charging, but the computer doesn't recognize it. I even uninstalled the driver, hoping it would force the driver to be reinstalled by plugging the phone in again but still nothing. I tried different USB ports!

I also noticed that the contact list that came up on the favorites screen was much shorter than the contacts I have listed under people. Could some of them be on the SD card? How do I get them merged? Or am I off base?

View 9 Replies View RelatedAnyone else missing random meetings on your phone? I can't seem to find the pattern. Some have a URL, some just a con call #. Yet I can recreate test meetings with both and they come through the device. Here's what I've tried:
-I've remove the account and recreated it, but the problem remains.
-Upgraded to 2.2 OTA
-Rooted, installed CM6 and Virtuous 2.7, issue remained with both.
-Finally installed Touchdown, but the issue remains.
Background:
Poor Service inside home w/ my BBerry Curve 8330 pushed me to get a Verizon Network Extender. It DRAMATICALLY improved coverage and never dropped a call after it (except when leaving/coming into range of Network Extender (NE)
Now i've got the Droid Inc and have been noticing an unsettling trend:
When connected to the NE, i have missed at least 2 calls (that i know of only because they left vmails) in the last 2 days since having the phone. No entry in the call history.
I'm wondering if anyone else is experiencing this?
As far as the NE itself goes, i wouldnt be able to do business or make calls from my home/home office without it. I dropped calls from my BBerry so much that i almost left Verizon because of it. The NE changed everything.
It was a little bit of a pain to set up but after it's connected it just works. It does NOT improve data service (3G) but with WiFi it doesnt matter.
Searched through the forums, didn't see a similar topic discussed. Just happened a few days ago, where one of my contacts on my phone from Gmail that was linked to Facebook all of a sudden is unlinked. When I tried to relink to fix it, the contact doesn't appear on the list to link. Going into the Facebook app, the contact is listed there. Anyone run into this or have any idea how to fix? Tried a reset already, after backing up apps/messages.

The missing apps aren't always paid apps though, just certain ones (both free and paid). The only solution I've found is to go back to the stock Rom.. does anybody have any ideas/suggestions? I've tried searching (this forum and Google) but didn't really find any answers.
