HTC Incredible :: Missing Apps In App Store
Apr 23, 2010I've seen several people make mention of missing apps in the app store in various other threads (someone mentioned PayPal for instance). These are all people who got the phone early.In another post I found the following regarding using the apk to install Google Earth. So this could an alternative if you are not able to find a certain app in the market. Doing this is dependant on the apk being available for the particular app you wish to install (dependant on the maker of the application making the apk available for download):

Jul 9, 2010Almost every time I install a custom Rom, the Marketplace won't show all of the apps. The missing apps aren't always paid apps though, just certain ones (both free and paid). The only solution I've found is to go back to the stock Rom.. does anybody have any ideas/suggestions? I've tried searching (this forum and Google) but didn't really find any answers.

Aug 22, 2010I just noticed that market options are missing (Skyraider 2.52 Sense).
Only "top free" and "Just in" are options on the top. No paid apps, but some show in the "Just in". I thought there we supposed to be no market problems with these roms?
They appeared now. Took about seven hours, but they appeared.

Dec 13, 2009I dont know if its just me or if anyone else is having the problem. Apps such as weatherbug, barcode scanner, pkt auctions, and amazon just to name a few.I have even went back to the oringinal sprint ruu with not luck and then no luck with the OTA update. Can anyone try these apps and see if you have any luck.

May 11, 2009It seems that there is no calendar app in the android 1.5 sdk. Actually in my app i want to retrieve the information stored in the calendar app in android. But I cant find the classes in Android 1.5 . Is calendar omitted from the 1.5 release or I am not able to find it? Can anyone help me this? If calendar apis are omitted then how can i find the events/meeting information stored in the calendar app of the phone.

Jun 3, 2010I had 18mb internal memory free for apps and after installing an epub reader i kept getting the message running low on memory.I uninstalled it and did a reboot and now i have 70mb free and all the existing apps are running fine.Somehow i have managed to free up a huge amount of lost space which I assume was being taken up by apps not uninstalling correctly.Either way i'm happy until froyo comes out.Just wish I knew where the memory keeps disappearing to over time.

After installation, icons for the programs don't appear in the programs list. I've confirmed they're installed, as they show up in the manage apps list. Any programs installed via the Market show up on the programs list.
Android :: Loads Of Apps Missing In Market On New Phone
Jul 2, 2010My wife has just got rid of her faulty X10 and moved to the X10 mini pro.
She's very frustrated as apps are just not showing up in the market. She used Bloo all the time along with AG Newspapers UK and Flood-it (game), these were 3 of the most used apps she had but when she searches the market for them it says they are not there! I have managed to get hold of the latest Bloo beta apk and installed that and it works fine.
Any ideas why these apps do not show up? the mini pro is 320x240 so it's not a resolution problem (same res as my old G1), the apps show up on my Desire (same phone network etc) the phone was unbranded/unlocked from Expansys

The browser is working fine, videos are streaming, calls are OK, bluetooth. No google maps also.

Aug 1, 2010So i had a few initial hiccups with the 2.2 update that HTC said we shouldn't have, but its stable and I'm not really complaining. I did have a question for those of us who switched though.I'm missing such things as Chrome to Phone and the 3D Gallery. I don't particularly mind, but was wondering if anyone else had the same issue. BTW, thanks for all the update info and installation help that was posted! Because of this great forum I was not only able to download the update directly to my phone, but also complete the update without a computer. Not bad for multitasking while out drinking. Couldn't have done it without the forum (not the drinking) and for that, and continued support.

Jan 19, 2010I just installed ChompSMS and I have already been using Better Keyboard. I type in vertical mode using t9 and the smiley face has always been there in the bottom right corner (while using default messaging application)
Now I installed ChompSMS and can't get the smiley face back, right now it is an Enter arrow. I have a Droid if that matters.

Oct 5, 2010One side effect I've noticed from the recent update: it seems like some apps are just gone from the Android Market. The one I know for sure is the MLB.com At Bat 2010 app. AppBrain still lists it (in fact, it shows that it got a price drop about 10 hours ago), but scanning the QR code, searching for it in the Android Market, even trying to install it from AppBrain all lead to the same thing: The item could not be found. I don't know if this is happening with other apps or not. I do know for sure that the MLB.com At Bat 2010 app was there before the update as I was trying to decide whether I was justified in spending the money to listen to the playoff games at work. But now it's just gone without a trace.Anyone else notice this or other apps missing?

Aug 19, 2010Did a search but did not find what I was looking for.I have OTA 2.2 on my phone and started moving any apps over to SD card that would allow.Everything was great but just bought a 16Gb memory card to replace my stock 8Gb card.I copied everything over from the 8Gb and put it on the 16Gb.Everything seemed good except that now all of the apps that were moved to the SD card are missing from phone desktop and managed applications. I can see them in the SD tab but can't access them anymore. Did I do something wrong? The only way I can think to fix this is re-download those apps and re-move them to the new SD card. That sucks. Hopefully someone has an easier way to get those apps back. Also, I downloaded alot of ringtones using the ringtone app and now those are not synced or accessible for ringtones anymore. I can still see them on the new memory card. Almost looks like the old memory card was linked somehow and the phones knows it is not the same.

Jan 18, 2012I have just installed CyanogenMod 7 on my HTC Desire.
I partitioned my 16GB Class 10 MicroSD card into a 14GB FAT32 partition and a 2GB ext3 partition. I installed DarkTremor's apps2sd scripts, and the apps2sd gui. I set it to save apps to the SD card, and to move the dalvik cache to the SD card.
Everything was working well: I was able to install apps, and they were going to the SD card (had they not, I would have hit the limit of the Desire's internal storage!). Rebooting didn't negatively affect anything - I rebooted several times and the apps were still there.
Then, when I opened the Theme Explorer, the phone just hung. It didn't respond to any input, from the touch screen to pressing or long pressing the power button. Eventually, in desperation, I took the battery out to do a hard reset.
When the phone booted back up, all the apps I had just installed were gone. Their icons remained on the homepage, but with the generic Android icon instead of their actual icon. They were missing from the ADWLauncher panel. The apps are still present in the list of apps, but are missing their icons and proper names. Instead they are displayed with a generic Android icon, and their "long-form" name, for example "com.amazon.kindle".
In addition to all the apps I had installed being missing, certain apps that came with CyanogenMod were also missing, such as: ROM Manager and the program that lists the apps with root permissions (I forget the name). Also, the Market application is missing. However, the calendar, messages, Google Talk, Theme Chooser, etc are all still present and working.
I tried rebooting the phone multiple times, as well as unmounting and remounting the SD card, with no improvement.
Using the terminal emulator, I can see that /sd-ext still has five directories: app, app-private, dalvik-cache, data, lost+found. However, all these directories, including the /sd-ext/app directory, are empty.
Running a2sd reinstall goes through the list of apps, but for each app that is missing, it says that it cannot find the .apk file for that app.
I suppose, then, that I have two questions:
1. Can I restore my apps somehow?
2. If not, and I have to reinstall, how can I prevent this from happening again?
General :: All Of Apps Stopped - Some Are Missing?
Dec 25, 2012Today I was playing on my phone and when my battery was about 5% I turned it off. When I put it on charge and turned it on almost all of my apps (actually all that are on the sd card) just stopped. EG:Unfortunately, avast! Mobile security has stopped. Some of them are even missing.

I am missing events! I have reinstalled the active sync account 3 times now and each time it resyncs different calendar items.I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this or if I am just doing something wrong.
