View 2 RepliesI'm looking for a notification tone I had with Ultimate Droid called Soft. It sounds like a sonar bing or a golf club. I forgot to get it before I went to cyanogenmod.
View 10 Replies View RelatedI keep getting a tone about every 30 minutes, I think its a notification that I have email. I don't mind the first time getting a message alert, but every 30 minutes gets kinda annoying. Anyone know how to turn it off? I do have handcent but that notification is turned off.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI had my notification tone set to a sound from a soundboard. I had downloaded from Android market, I have got sick of it and uninstalled the soundboard and set a different tone but now I get no notification tone at all even though it shows that I have a new notification tone set.
View 12 Replies View RelatedI don't see an option for Silent under Phone Ringtone or Notification Ringtone? What if I want to not have an audible alert for phone calls / text? I guess I could just create an .mp3 with 1 second of silence, but is there I could have sworn I saw a "silent" tone for each in the list before, but it's not there now.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI've searched the threads, haven't found an answer yet. How do i apply a downloaded ringtone to set as my notification tone?
View 7 Replies View RelatedI am looking for a way to map either the power button, the camera button, or a volume buttons to turn the notification tone off. I have the phone in a holster and there are times such as driving or other times when getting the phone out to turn off the notifier is not easy or practical.I do want to know that one came in but letting the tone run its course is annoying both to me and anyone around. Is there an app for this or a setting I missed? I have a Droid X by the way.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI set a tone when I first got the phone (created the media/notifications folder, put my mp3 in, selected it in the menu.) Well I added some more yesterday, went in a changed it to one of those, but it still played my old tone. So I tried deleting the old tone and leaving just the one I wanted in there - now it doesn't play anything!

View 4 Replies View RelatedI've figured out how to set a ringtone BUT when I try to set a tone to ONLY play when I get a text (sms) that sound is playing for ALL notifications!!!
View 3 Replies View RelatedI updated the Rom supplied by HTC for Hero's on the orange network. Since I've done the upgrade I can't change the default notification tone. My custom tones show up in the list, I can check to chose the tone but when I receive a text message I still get the 'Ascend' tone, can't even change it to any of the other standard tones that came already on the phone.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to find out what I have to do to change my notification tone. I don't want one of the standard tones, So I'm trying to find a way to change em for tones I made with ringdroid.
View 8 Replies View RelatedGetting into android ownership after years of Nokia, and loving it. Is it possible though, that the LED or track ball can be made to blink so I know the phone's still on and not died? Blinks away fine when battery is low. Also, is it possible to have an audible alert to critical battery?
View 13 Replies View RelatedIs it possible to get a notification when an email comes in that is not the default notification tone or do you I need to use another email program. If so what do you recommend?
View 21 Replies View RelatedI have looked through the forums but couldn't spot anything for this one so here goes... Is there any way to use a custom sound as your notification tone? I cant for the life of me seem to work out how to do it unless im missing something really obvious! I downloaded the "you've got mail" wav and transfered it to my Magic but after that i'm stuck!
View 6 Replies View RelatedI installed the Zedge app and downloaded a ringtone and notification tone I want to use. I set them as the tones in my options, but it's like it doesn't save or something. The tones just keep going back to the ones I had them set to originally that were already on the phone.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm just wandering if there is a way to stop the notification tone from playing after I send a message?
Running android 2.1.
I have noticed that once I have sent a text I am not getting any tone to let me know that the text has been delivered which is rather annoying as I have to keep on long pressing the text I have sent to "view report". I am getting the Notification tone Hours later after the text has got to the person I sent it to. On all my other phones (I am on 3 Mobile) the tone is straight away once the text gets to the other person.
View 8 Replies View RelatedHow do I copy notification tone into sys file? I have downloaded a notification tone that I wish to use for incoming text, in the notification tones there are a selection of tones but I would like to add this one to the list. I've tried moving the file using the move command and also tried with the copy and paste function with Astro file manager but I cannot move or paste when I navigate to the sys/media/notification folder as these options are greyed out?
View 7 Replies View RelatedSo, having lost my beloved G1 and having been told by my insurance that it was discontinued, I received an HTC Hero/G2 Touch in the post this morning, and I'm having serious issues with getting my custom notification tone to work.
I have placed the desired .mp3 file in media->audio->notifications, and it does indeed show up on my notification list in the settings menu. I have selected it, and it displays a lovely little green dot by its name.
HOWEVER. Every time I get a text, it still plays the stupid default tone. I've powered the phone on and off multiple times, deleted and re-copied the file, and yes, even tried applying it using the much-applauded Ringdroid app. The results are always the same. I can get it to show up. I can select it. I can, by all appearances, get it to set as my notification tone. But I can't make it sing "HAHAHAHA TRUMPETS" on cue as desired. I had no issue getting this same file to work on my G1 and am at a complete and utter loss.
I'm trying to create a notification that uses a different sound than Notification.DEFAULT_SOUND. Is there an easy way I can pop up a Sound picker where the user can choose from? and how do I use the sound picked for my notification?
View 1 Replies View RelatedWhenever I get a text message I always get a subtle little chime on my phone. But it is not the notification tone that I setup under "Settings". In fact, no matter what I select for a notification tone, I always get the same little chime. Isn't this configurable? If so, why will it not use the tone that I have designated for "Notifications"?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI'm on my 2nd captivate and both of these bugs have happened on both phones.
First being the backlight remaining on unless I lock the phone manually. This will happen even with the backlight auto turn off set to 30 seconds. This has happened a handful of times, and I can make the backlight turn off if I want by using the lock key, but it will never auto turn off. This is fixed by power cycling the phone.
Second, my notification volume. I've noticed a few times that I'll have a text or something waiting on my phone for which I didn't hear the notification tone. When I go to the phones settings I find that the notification volume is down around 25% instead of the 75% or so I keep it set at. This seems to happen randomly.
Ok basically i've set a song as my tone for notification and it works fine.... except that when i recive an SMS etc it playes the whole song regarless whether i view the SMS or not and refuses to stop :? this is rather annoying meaning i have to put my phone on silent till the song has finished :/ On my old SE phone the music stopped as soon as i had viewed the SMS. Is there anyway to do this on Xperia X10 Mini Pro? (aside from physicaly editing and shortening the music track..)

View 6 Replies View RelatedSo when I get texts, gmail, completed app downloads, etc I get notification icons at the top as usual. When I slide the notification bar down to reveal the nofications and click on an item, the notification screen doesn't hide back to the top of my phone -- it just stays open. I either have to hide it manually or I have to hit the back button, which sometimes exits the app I was trying to open. 2.1 never did this for me, it always hid when choosing an item. Anyone have a solution to this? I've done a factory reset after 2.2 btw. I've also searched support to see if there was a similar problem, no similar threads.
