Anyone having issues with lock ups or the screen rapidly switching from normal view to helicopter view? The only things that takes care of it for me is pressing the power button twice.

I don't really like the lock screen for the Sprint Hero and I was wondering if there was a way to get rid of it and use the normal Android lock screen I have looked around but I can't seem to find any info about how to do this or if it's possible or if I would need root access to change something like this

View 4 Replies View RelatedNormally I wouldn't worry, but when it does crash, and I'm not paying attention to my phone, it suddenly sucks the battery big time. If it happens overnight while I'm sleeping, the battery will be dead. I just checked my phone now; last check was about 2 hours ago, it was at 90-odd percent, and now it's at 55% and com.htc.launcher is asking to be force closed. I check my battery usage, and sure enough, it's the culprit. My phone is also very hot, perhaps because it's overusing the battery. I want to avoid a factory reset. Is there any solution or known cause for this problem?
View 1 Replies View RelatedMy battery started draining rapidly all of a sudden. I had the Seido 1750 battery. I stopped yesterday at the Verizon store and got the 2150 Battery-it is also draining quickly. I guess the Seido battery was not the problem. The battery was fully charged before I left yesterday, but it was drained completely after being off the charger for only 16 hours..5 of them I was sleeping. I do not have the GPS on...etc..None of my setting on my phone changed. I am not sure why the battery is draining so rapidly.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI am designing a home screen widget. I ran this widget on a HTC Hero device, which has a screen of 320 pixels * 480 pixels with mdpi. It ran perfect on HTC Hero. The widget takes 3 cells * 2 cells space, i.e. 240 pixels * 200 pixels.Then I ran this widget on a Nexus One device, which has a screen of 480 pixels * 800 pixels, mdpi. Since Nexus One also is mdpi, so I though 240dip is equivalent to 240 pixels on Nexus One and 200dip is equivalent to 200 pixels on Nexus One, so the widget will not take 3 cells * 2 cells space on Nexus One device. To my surprise, when running on Nexus One device, the widget take exact 3 cells * 2 cells, about 360 pixels * 300 pixels, on Nexus One device.I am confused. The layout xml above specifies 240dip in width and 200dip in height for the widget, but why did it take 360 pixels * 300 pixels on Nexus One Device? What am I missing?
View 2 Replies View RelatedWhen I click the lock button and click again to unlock it, it doesn't ever lock and just loads my homescreen. I have it set to pattern lock and the only time it will work is when I so a battery pull and even then it does it for maybe fifteen minutes. It's really annoying anyone have any idea why its doing this?
View 3 Replies View RelatedOk, so I had an Eris before this, loaded with the 2.1v2 leak. I had some pics that I set aside as lock screens, and used them w/o a problem on the Eris. I put them on the Inc. today, went to "Photos", viewed them, hit menu and selected Share, then went to Set As, but Lock Screen wasn't an option. So does anyone know how to set the lock screen on the Inc?

That said - I hate the lock screen. I don't know why, but that curved bar - swiping down..... i just don't like it.
The standard android lock screen, IMO, is 100x times better( nexus and droid).
Does anyone know if there's a quick way to turn off the sense lock screen, but keep sense active? I know there's ways w/ rooting. But I don't plan on rooting.... after flashing winmo phones forever, I know better. Fixes one thing, but usually something else ends up not working.
So basically - looking for a way to disable sense lock screen w/o rooting.
Is there not some way to lock the screen during a call? when i hold it with my shoulder or talk while laying
down, my cheek/chin will end the call..
Is there a way to change the slide to unlock on the Inc? I really like the one on the droid and other Android devices. The one on the Inc is alright but i like the droids better. Is it possible without rooting the device?

I run an application called "lockpicker" which allows me to bypass the Exchange Lock screen, which made me put in a password every time I would turn my phone off, or every time I would shut off the screen (which was VERY annoying). I have had no problems with my work email, connecting to it, or with the exchange lock screen since installing lockpicker. In fact, its like the lock screen doesnt even exist, which I love. I hear that lockpicker is NOT compatible with Froyo 2.2, which makes me extremely nervous about upgrading, because if I have to put in a code every time my phone goes to sleep, I will like the phone a lot less.
2. Google Listen - I use this program to listen to 5-6 podcasts that I subscribe to and I find that while it does have some bugs, its simple and the easiest way I have found to organize my podcasts and listen to them. I hear that this doesnt work anymore with 2.2 either (although I could be wrong).........
Is there a screen orientation lock feature? I haven't seen it mentioned. In fact a search only turned up mention of it as a hardware button on the iPad. This would be great for using it while lying down, reclining, in the car.

During the day I am in and out of my contacts constantly and I am unlocking my phone too much! I just want it to lock after a preset time, not every time the device is turned off.
