HTC Incredible :: Notification On Lock Screen
May 17, 2010when i get a text, you can read a part of the text on the locked screen. that means someone can read it even though it's locked. is there a way to disable this?

HTC EVO 4G :: Notification Bar On Lock Screen?
Jul 5, 2010Is there an app that allows you to pull the notification bar down from the lock screen? I mean this would be nice and when you touched the text from the notification bar, it took you to your text messaging app without haveing to swipe down the lock screen slide.

Mar 15, 2014How to get back my old lock screen notification from 4.1.2 android (I9300XXEMG4)? After flashing to my new Stock ROM 4.3 (I9300XXUGMK6) i got different and so frustrating lock screen! What i must to change in android sistem to get back my old notification circles? I have old ROM extracted in .EXT4 file and mounted into "ext2explore" and all resources from it, also have fully rooted device on my new 4.3 andorid. I tried to replace "OmaDrmPopup.apk, OmaDrmPopup.odex" from old ROM, and also tried to replace "PopupuiReceiver.apk, and PopupuiReceiver.odex" but nothing happend. What .apk is responsable for that lock screen notifications i want? See attached images to understand my problem.
Phone: SGS3 i9300
Current ROM: STOCK I9300XXUGMK6 (android 4.3)
Old ROM: STOCK I9300XXEMG4 (android 4.1.2)
Samsung Captivate :: Symbols On Lock Screen And Notification Bar?
Nov 30, 2010I am new to Samsung Captivate. When my screen is locked i see a series of symbols in the upper right corner. I see the same symbols when I pull down the notification bar, right above where it says "No Notifications" if I don't have any. They are @@@^oe@@ I find it very weird. I have been looking and I can't figure out if I can change those symbols or just get rid of them.

Nov 20, 2009I made the switch from the (surprise) iPhone on the day of release to the Moto Droid. I really do like the phone, but there are 2 consistent quirks that I can't find an answer to after searching Google and many many forums.
1. Lock screen timeout. This one really annoys me for some reason (probably just because I feel like it's a waste of battery life). So I have the screen timeout set for 1 minute, so if I have the phone unlocked, and I don't use it for 1 minute then it locks itself (fine, good). BUT, if I have the phone locked, and I just hit the Home/Lock button on the top of the phone to see the lock screen, WHY does the lock screen stay on for the same amount of time (1 minute) before going off again??? If I don't unlock the phone, I just want that screen to turn off quickly, maybe in 5-10 seconds.
2. Gmail notification. I have 2 gmail accounts (1 for school, 1 personal), and it's the only mail I use or have set up on the phone. All I want to have is a notification of gmail in the taskbar so when I hit the Home/Lock button and see the lock screen, I can tell if I have gmail or not. I DON'T want the LED to blink if I don't check or delete the mail (turning LED gmail notification off). (Having the number of mails would be nice too, either in the taskbar or on the home screen, or optimally, both).
General :: Get Effective Voicemail Notification On Lock Screen Like With IPhones?
Sep 28, 2013On iPhones the notification is center of the screen in a big graphic. On my LG2 all I get is some tiny icon in the notification bar. Also on teh iPhone the lock screen wakes up to show the voicemail prompt/graphic. On the LG2 teh screen is still dark. So unless I turn on my lock screen, I never know I have a v-mail.

May 15, 2014Is there a way to swipe a text message notification on the lock screen to open that message like you could do in Jelly Bean? My messages show up, but when I swipe them, the lock screen slides over to a second page. I tried playing around with some of the lock screen settings, but couldn't figure anything out. Am I missing something completely obvious, or is this somehow not possible to do?
Brand new S4 received yesterday, stock OTA 4.4.2 pushed by Verizon about 5 minutes after my phone was activated.
After playing a bit more, I found that if I swipe to the second lock screen page, then back, if I tap on the message notification it will open, but tapping before that yields nothing.
HTC Incredible :: Notification Screen Doesn't Hide When Selecting A Notification Event
Sep 14, 2010So when I get texts, gmail, completed app downloads, etc I get notification icons at the top as usual. When I slide the notification bar down to reveal the nofications and click on an item, the notification screen doesn't hide back to the top of my phone -- it just stays open. I either have to hide it manually or I have to hit the back button, which sometimes exits the app I was trying to open. 2.1 never did this for me, it always hid when choosing an item. Anyone have a solution to this? I've done a factory reset after 2.2 btw. I've also searched support to see if there was a similar problem, no similar threads.

Sep 15, 2010When I click the lock button and click again to unlock it, it doesn't ever lock and just loads my homescreen. I have it set to pattern lock and the only time it will work is when I so a battery pull and even then it does it for maybe fifteen minutes. It's really annoying anyone have any idea why its doing this?

Apr 27, 2010Ok, so I had an Eris before this, loaded with the 2.1v2 leak. I had some pics that I set aside as lock screens, and used them w/o a problem on the Eris. I put them on the Inc. today, went to "Photos", viewed them, hit menu and selected Share, then went to Set As, but Lock Screen wasn't an option. So does anyone know how to set the lock screen on the Inc?

That said - I hate the lock screen. I don't know why, but that curved bar - swiping down..... i just don't like it.
The standard android lock screen, IMO, is 100x times better( nexus and droid).
Does anyone know if there's a quick way to turn off the sense lock screen, but keep sense active? I know there's ways w/ rooting. But I don't plan on rooting.... after flashing winmo phones forever, I know better. Fixes one thing, but usually something else ends up not working.
So basically - looking for a way to disable sense lock screen w/o rooting.
