Dec 11, 2009Has anyone noticed since 2.0.1 update that when you wake the phone up and don't unlock it the screen will go back to sleep much faster than it normally would if unlocked?

Jul 14, 2010This just started happening. The Dinc won't auto lock itself nor will it go into screen lock when I press the hold/power button. I set the screen lock time to 15 seconds and after 15 seconds the screen only dims but doesn't lock.
When I press the power button to awake the Dinc it pops up to home screen or which ever screen I slept it at. i tried uninstalling the apps I updated and downloaded but no luck
ETA:
Installed ATK just to see what apps were running. Everything looked normal. I took of the reminder I had in my calendar and the phone is locking itself after screen timeout has expired and power key works. I put my reminder back onto my event and it is still locking.
Conclusion:
Dinc has a mind of its own and was probably amped up on Starbucks since I had some today for the first time since owning the Dinc

May 1, 2010Usually the phone is awake, and when you lower it the phone lights up for numeric input (love that feature).
But after a minute or so it locks. You have to push power button before you can enter numbers- annoying. Is there a "keep alive" option I'm not seeing?
On a similar note, is there a way to make the phone lock automatically (like an app)? It's also annoying to have to manually lock it: I'd rather keep waking it up (if it was indeed idle and not running a program) than forget to lock it and dial/message everyone in my contact list from my pocket.
HTC Incredible :: Screen Sleep Widget
Jun 3, 2010I am looking for a widget that will put the screen to sleep like the power button does, but a widget on the screen. I know it sounds stupid, but when the phone is in the cradle in my car, it would be much easier to tap a widget on the screen to turn screen off than push down on the power button. I have a lock program that allows me to use the trackpad to wake the screen up, but have not found one to put the inc to sleep.

Oct 18, 2010Just got an incredible (ebay - had to get rid of Eris) and New, out of the box the phone powers up fine. But the minute it comes out of sleep mode, the screen has scrolled to a different location - however, I need to actually push the screen in the location where the button I want to press should be located.
Have been searching here for an hour, but can't find anything like this so had to make a new thread. Sorry if it's a duplication.

May 6, 2010I feel like this must be so obvious and I'm missing it. Just want a button I can hit to turn screen off without waiting for it to timeout on its own. Otherwise it seems to often do random stuff in my pocket if I am unwilling to wait to put it back.

I have it set to pattern lock and the only time it will work is when I so a battery pull and even then it does it for maybe fifteen minutes. Apr 27, 2010Ok, so I had an Eris before this, loaded with the 2.1v2 leak. I had some pics that I set aside as lock screens, and used them w/o a problem on the Eris. I put them on the Inc. today, went to "Photos", viewed them, hit menu and selected Share, then went to Set As, but Lock Screen wasn't an option. So does anyone know how to set the lock screen on the Inc?

That said - I hate the lock screen. I don't know why, but that curved bar - swiping down..... i just don't like it.
The standard android lock screen, IMO, is 100x times better( nexus and droid).
Does anyone know if there's a quick way to turn off the sense lock screen, but keep sense active? I know there's ways w/ rooting. But I don't plan on rooting.... after flashing winmo phones forever, I know better. Fixes one thing, but usually something else ends up not working.
So basically - looking for a way to disable sense lock screen w/o rooting.

Jun 12, 2010Just ditched my Eris and jumped to the incredible. I love it! Anyway, I'm trying to place a pic on my lockout screen. Not my wallpaper but my lockout screen. The Eris had an option within settings to do that but I cant find it on my Incredible. Any suggestions?
