View 9 RepliesWe'll this is a deal breaker for me, after being pretty happy with the RUU update and the speed improvement it brought to the stock music player. When using the turn by turn navigation, every time the voice comes in the player puts itself on pause. After the instruction is over it remains paused instead of resuming. Then I have to manually hit play again to resume playback. This is a big deal while driving since I don't want to be fidgeting with my phone every couple seconds. This was not an issue with 2.1 , since as soon as the turn by turn instruction was gone the music would automatically resume.
View 11 Replies View Relatedin Virtuous Rom 3.1 the Google Maps turn-by-turn navigation voice doesn't work...instead of speaking the directions, the voice rambles on about XML versions and a random website in a slow-motion voice. I'm shocked that I can't find any information at all about this on XDA or here.Does this happen to anyone else who uses Virtuous Rom 3.1? I tried to contact RMK via XDA PM but he hasn't responded yet, sent last night. I would really like a fix for this, Google maps navigation is fantastic.

View 2 Replies View RelatedWeird issue here. I turn 3G off when I don't need it to conserve battery life. I normally use the HTC widget to turn it on and off. Today I tried to turn the data off, but it wouldn't let me. The widget was in the off position. I checked the data connection in the settings and it said it was off. But the 3G symbol was still illuminated and the arrows were lighting up as if data was being used. I had the same issue last week with wifi. What's going on?
Edit: Something I forgot to mention. At one point I turned on wifi and the 3G stlll wouldn't turn off. They were going at the same time, even though 3G usually automatically turns off when I connect to wifi.
I'm going on a hike this week and its possible that I might lose cell phone service out in the middle of the woods. I want to track this hike using My Tracks though. Is it possible to turn off the cell phone stuff so that my battery doesn't die from trying to locate a signal all day BUT still keep the GPS on so that I can record the track?

View 4 Replies View RelatedSo I have the Froyo Leak (ROM, no radio) based off of the official 2.2 (I have the 2.05 radio). This is the ROM: [ROM] 8/26 Leak Lite w/ Sense - xda-developers.Is it okay for me to install the system update that Verizon keeps trying to push to my phone? If not, is there a way that I can turn the notification off?I ask because I've been told that this ROM is based off of the actual 2.2, so that's why I was wondering if it would be okay; I don't really know everything about this kind of thing,
View 2 Replies View RelatedI wanted to know if you could turn off every single sound on the inc. My previous phone, enV touch, still played some sound when u press clear to activate voice commands, even in vibration mode. (the voice that says, "please say a command. Beep") Anyways I don't want to accidentally press something or get a notification that makes a sound. All I want to know is if there's any hidden features that could play unwanted sound, even if the phone is in vibrate. I go to school and my phone will get taken away if a teacher hears it so this is important.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI went to do a bluetooth file transfer today from my laptop to my Incredible and I couldn't get it to go through. Now whenever i restart my phone the bluetooth is on and it will not turn off. I can tell it to turn off and the options dim out but when i looked at my battery usage 3 hours later it showed my bluetooth using 23% of my battery and I never use bluetooth! Does anybody have any info on how to fix this?? I checked a few other topics on it and people say even doing a hard reset doesn't fix it...
View 1 Replies View RelatedWasn't sure which of the many DINC areas to put this in, but hopefully someone knows what I am talking about. I am one of those classic lazy Americans that have to hit the snooze button when the alarm goes off. However, the DINC only lets you snooze twice then just goes at it until you force close the clock with ATK (only way I've found). This is good for me, as it forces me to get up to go through the menus and turn it off and such. But is that the only way to stop the alarm or am I missing something?

I accidently turned privacy on to lattitude and my battery was draining even though GPS was off. Lattitude will find you through tower location whcih uses cellular power! Much better this morning when I turned this feature off. In fact google sent me an email letting me know I forgot to turn it off.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI can't figure out how to turn off a2dp. In my car, the DInc is plugged into an FM transmitter and paired with my BT headset. The problem is the audio I'm playing comes through my headset instead of the car stereo. No problem says I. I go into the bluetooth settings for my particular headset while it's paired and uncheck the box that tells it to play audio through my headset. Problem is solved. Wrong. The setting doesn't stick.
The next time I got in my car and paired my headset, it started playing through the headset. This time I dug through the menus and made doubly sure that I had ticked the box. I backed all the way out to the home screen and the setting seemed to have stuck. Then I went all the way back into the menu and the settings again. The setting was still there and seemed to have stuck. Wrong. Turned the headset off and turned it back on again. Same thing. A2dp turned back on. How can I permanently disable this? I'm using a BlueAnt T1 if that makes any difference.
It's my wife who has the Incredible and neither of us can figure out how to turn the screen off when it's plugged in and charging. It stays on all night and is very annoying. If there is a mode to turn this off, please enlighten me.
View 3 Replies View Relatedis there a way to turn off all of the notification sounds for email, calendar, and texts? There does not seem to be a global setting for things, and there's not individual settings for this, for example, with the calender, you can't turn off the sounds without turning off the on-screen pop-up reminder. Any apps for this I wonder.
