May 12, 2010Sorry for the stupid question, but I know how to turn the screen off, but how do you turn the phone off? There is no "End" key for me to hold down.

Nov 11, 2010I have been having this issue for a while. I was actually hoping that this morning's OTA update would fix the issue, however it did not. I do not know if it is just me or if this is a known issue. Sometimes (about 25% of the time) when I turn on my phone one of the apps on my home screen will automatically start. It is usually my calender app or Documents to Go, but it is always an app on my home screen. Anyone else have this issue or know of a fix for it?

Jun 21, 2010Only thing I can think of that I miss on my storm. When turning it off, it would alert you it would be turning back on at your alarm time to wake you and would do exactly that. Stock app doesn't do that. I've searched and gone through market apps descriptions looking for this function. At the least I want the alarm to go off when the phones turned off. I don't need it to notify me when its turning on, when its shutting down.

Aug 28, 2010We'll this is a deal breaker for me, after being pretty happy with the RUU update and the speed improvement it brought to the stock music player.When using the turn by turn navigation, every time the voice comes in the player puts itself on pause.After the instruction is over it remains paused instead of resuming.Then I have to manually hit play again to resume playback.This is a big deal while driving since I don't want to be fidgeting with my phone every couple seconds.This was not an issue with 2.1 , since as soon as the turn by turn instruction was gone the music would automatically resume.

Nov 29, 2010in Virtuous Rom 3.1 the Google Maps turn-by-turn navigation voice doesn't work...instead of speaking the directions, the voice rambles on about XML versions and a random website in a slow-motion voice. I'm shocked that I can't find any information at all about this on XDA or here.Does this happen to anyone else who uses Virtuous Rom 3.1? I tried to contact RMK via XDA PM but he hasn't responded yet, sent last night. I would really like a fix for this, Google maps navigation is fantastic.

Jun 26, 2010So I use the task killer...and at the moment say when I kill tasks it'll tell me there is about 200M avaliable memory free...if I use the phone for a day it'll maybe go down to 150M even if I am still killing apps and there is nothing in 'running services'. If i turn off the phone and turn it back on it goes up to 250M. What is running that I can't stop myself to make it go down from the 250M but that I can just eliminate by turning off the phone?

May 11, 2010Weird issue here. I turn 3G off when I don't need it to conserve battery life. I normally use the HTC widget to turn it on and off. Today I tried to turn the data off, but it wouldn't let me. The widget was in the off position. I checked the data connection in the settings and it said it was off. But the 3G symbol was still illuminated and the arrows were lighting up as if data was being used. I had the same issue last week with wifi. What's going on?
Edit: Something I forgot to mention. At one point I turned on wifi and the 3G stlll wouldn't turn off. They were going at the same time, even though 3G usually automatically turns off when I connect to wifi.

Is it possible to turn off the cell phone stuff so that my battery doesn't die from trying to locate a signal all day BUT still keep the GPS on so that I can record the track?

My previous phone, enV touch, still played some sound when u press clear to activate voice commands, even in vibration mode. (the voice that says, "please say a command. Beep") Anyways I don't want to accidentally press something or get a notification that makes a sound. Jun 25, 2010I went to do a bluetooth file transfer today from my laptop to my Incredible and I couldn't get it to go through. Now whenever i restart my phone the bluetooth is on and it will not turn off. I can tell it to turn off and the options dim out but when i looked at my battery usage 3 hours later it showed my bluetooth using 23% of my battery and I never use bluetooth! Does anybody have any info on how to fix this?? I checked a few other topics on it and people say even doing a hard reset doesn't fix it...
