This is a question for those proficient in photoshop/gimp/etc When making a wallpaper for the Inc and it's limited color gamut AMOLED screen what are/is the tools used to make them smooth not showing that ugly dithering (correct word?)? Here is an example below...it looks beautiful on my PC screen (H-IPS panel).

Does anyone know how to make a wallpaper you get from your photo gallery to not look so grainy and fit correctly? The ones that come out of the ROM look fine but I can't get any other ones to work.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI bought some cool skins on ebay which 3 came for $10 which you can find stupid easy with a search but they come with matching wallpapers but when I put them on they go on as images and of course we don't get the full image you have to zoom/crop it and you dont get the whole image. Photobucket might resize this so I hope it works but this image I want as a full size. Is there a certain folder to put it in to get it to full size?

View 5 Replies View RelatedCan't get wallpaper to size correctly since running the Android 2.1 update on the Sprint Hero.
The HTC wallpaper shows correctly but the resolution of wallpaper set from my photos seems to be about 800x600. The onscreen size remains the same regardless of the original photos size, I've tried everything from 340x480 down to thumbnail and it stays the same.
Also when I try to load a photo as wallpaper I get a horizontal crop box even though the screen is obviously vertical.
I downloaded pictures off the internet and tried to set them as my background, and it says "This picture has been set as wallpaper" But its just the default wallpaper. So then I tried the Bar code scanner wallpapers and Android themes.com and same thing!

View 8 Replies View RelatedI don't know if there has been anymore elaboration on the subject of the impending switch to LCD for the Incredibles or when it was supposed to go into effect, but I may or may not have stumbled onto something. I, finally, received my phone today. I haven't turned it on yet, as I have it sitting on the charger for another 3 hours. However, I did happen to flip through some of the booklets that came with the phone. If everyone could gather up their "Product Safety & Warranty Brochure," we can compare and see if there is a difference. On page 8 under the "Cleaning" bullet, it says "blah blah blah blah, but NEVER use water to clean the LCD screen." If any of you got your phones weeks or months earlier and it says "LED" for you, the switch may have already happened. As I said, I haven't turned the phone on yet and this is the only thing I have to go off of right now.

Hmmmm.... makes me wonder how long before our incredible Incredibles' follow. We could soon all be owners of a very rare breed though! Might increase re-sale value.

View 13 Replies View RelatedI have an Incredible and a friend just got the Evo. I also went to HTC's Evo launch party in NYC so I've had my fair share of time with it and I have to say, IMHO, I was shocked at the difference in AMOLED vs LCD.
I never really gave much thought to it and I always thought it wouldn't really make a difference but HOLY COW.
It was the first and glaring thing to me whenever comparing the phones. Everything from the home screen to widgets to photos, videos, web sites. It was quite dramatic. The LCD on the Evo always looked kind of washed out since I've become used to the AMOLED.
The viewing angles, crispness, deep blacks and color saturation on the AMOLED is a huge win for me.
Is this possible for the Incredible? Who wants to install the apk first? Apparently the black uses no power when the screen is on. This guy designed notifications via the screen rather than the LED light.

I've noticed that all of the official literature regarding the Incredible describes the screen as WVGA OLED -not AMOLED. Can a screen be OLED without AM (active matrix) technology - and if so, what will the difference be between the Incredible's screen and the N1's AMOLED display?
View 8 Replies View RelatedI have a ListView, which has a TextView and a RadioGroup with 4 RadioButtons as Children in each row. Now i can select a RadioButton in each row. But if i scroll the ListView, my Selection is gone or it does not show correctly. For example, i choose the RadioButton A in the first row, if i scroll through the ListView and then go back to the first row again, either none of the RadioButtons in the RadioGroup is checked or RadioButton C is checked instead of A.How can i fix this Problem? I have tried 7 days already, but still i find no solution.

I want to store the user input (the text in the EditText) to the Arrray. E.g, if i type some text in the EditText in the first row of the ListView, i want the text to be stored in Array[0]. I have my incredible set to use the live wallpaper "water". When I turn the phone off to charge at the end of the day, upon restart it defaults to the htc colors wallpaper.Is there something I'm doing wrong, is there a setting I'missed to retain the "water" live wallpaper after restart, or is this just normal behavior?

It 480 X 800 pixel JPG (I can stretch it to get the 54 pixel more if I need it). When I go to set it as my wallpaper the "crop" square only let me allow 1/2 of the pic.
